Chapter 118: Second World: Holding Hands With An Alpha

Just as the space warship came out of warp speed, Qie Ranzhe didn't even wait a second before launching his mecha known as Night Saber heading towards the peach coloured planet. Night Saber transformed itself from a spaceship to a mecha mid-air landing on the ground with a loud bang creating clouds of dust and a huge dent in the hard soil that had never been disturbed for millions of years.

Qie Ranzhe scanned for signs of life on the planet with bloodshot eyes and his chest violently heaving up and down. To his disappointment, Zhao Xieshu was nowhere in sight. What he didn't know was that Zhao Xieshu had already left with his bounty a few minutes ago. Qie Ranzhe wandered around searching for the omega but there was no sign of him except a few mecha track marks on the soil.

"Ran-ge! Ran-ge!" yelled Machu through the communicator but Qie Ranzhe didn't respond, "Is there any sign of him?"

Qie Ranzhe crouched down in his mecha as his trembling fingertip brushed against the track marks left behind by the mecha that most likely belonged to Zhao Xieshu. "No but he was definitely here," said Qie Ranzhe with a surge of mixed emotions roaring up like waves in his chest.

"There is space debris from two blown up spaceships. Judging from their insignia they were part of the Outset pirate spaceships. Whatever spaceship it was the Outset mothership wouldn't have been able to sustain that kind of massive power. Marshal what are your commands?" he asked with his dark eyes brimming with concern. In all the years he had known Qie Ranzhe he had never seen him this defeated with his brow furrowed as his mouth turned grim. Zhao Xieshu had surely earned the title of an omega worthy of the Marshal.

"Go back to Valim," he said in an overly impassive manner.

"And the convention?" asked Machu while issuing commands to his subordinates.

"To hell with it," he said as the vantablack mecha launched back to space while converting itself into a spaceship seeming as overbearing as its owner. Machu instantly shut his mouth secretly lighting a candle for Zhao Xieshu the omega who had managed to stir enough trouble to force the Marshal to abandon the Armory convention.

"Ran-ge, how are you going to deal with this?" he curiously asked wondering how Qie Ranzhe planned to handle this situation. As expected, Qie Ranzhe's response was as he predicted. "Follow him," said Qie Ranzhe as he reached the space warship that was preparing to go into warp speed.

Qie Ranzhe really kept his word. As soon as he returned to Valim he had people on a stake-out watching Zhao Xieshu but the prince made no move for two days straight not stepping a single foot out of his pavilion. That is until the third day when he was spotted on surveillance camera casually exiting a barbershop heading for a small Cafe. But what grasped Qie Ranzhe's attention was that there was no footage of Zhao Xieshu leaving the pavilion, the prince seemed to have appeared out of the thin air. It seemed suspicious unless Zhao Xieshu could be in two places at once. Qie Ranzhe found this intriguing intending to pry answers out of Zhao Xieshu once he got his hands on him.

An oblivious Wen Qinxi ambled into the cafe to meet Nubile Gypsy a popular actress with so many awards attached to her name. The girl alpha was famous for being aggressive on camera but sweet in person. When he meandered into the Cafe, she had already ordered a tentra size iced vanilla latte for him and to top it all off it was his favourite. "Xie Xie, l didn't think you would come," she said with an enchanting smile.

Wen Qinxi sat opposite her saying, "Not many alphas and betas can easily accept my kind of lifestyle. The fact that you are willing to see me means a lot to me so of course, l would come," while carefully scrutinizing her. She was as tall as an average alpha with a gorgeous face though lagging behind the Marshal but it didn't matter to him.

"This is for you," she said passing the cup over to him but as Wen Qinxi reached over their fingertips accidentally touched. Nubile Gypsy lowered her eyes with a flirty smile her gaze fixed on his tempting lips. She was obviously affected by this omega but Wen Qinxi seemed unfazed barely taking notice of the ambiguous atmosphere.

In that split second that their fingertips touched, the cafe door was suddenly swung open with Qie Ranzhe strolling in just to witness such a scene. The corner of his mouth twitched as he walked over suppressing his emotions saying, "Wow, I was just around the neighbourhood and didn't expect to see such a harmonious scene."

Wen Qinxi turned to look at him while languidly sipping his latte through the straw before asking, "No such thing. Did you follow me here?"

Qie Ranzhe didn't respond sitting in between them before stretching out a hand t the famous Nubile Gypsy while introducing himself, "Hello, I am Qie Ranzhe. It's a pleasure to meet you."

Nubile Gypsy extended her hand to shake his in a stupor. Of course, she knew the Marshal and was apparently one of his fangirls but never had an opportunity to meet him in person. Staring fixedly at the dazzling Marshal, she stretched her hand thrilled to shake the hand of her hero but as their hands were about to touch, Wen Qinxi interjected with a drinking straw stuck between his moist lips. "No, don't acknowledge him otherwise he will want to stay. He isn't supposed to be here," with his brows knitted in a frown.

"She's not rude like you," he said and proceeded to shake her hand. His grip was tight and a little intermediating intentionally passing on a massage but his fangirl didn't get the hint.

"Who doesn't know the Marshal. It's an honour to meet you. You are my hero," she said with her hand lingering in the handshake her eyes full of admiration for the Marshal.
