It’s spring, the weather was warm, and there were vibrant greens everywhere.

When the players stepped into the slaughterhouse, they felt the cold rushing into their body from the soles of their feet. They even felt like their blood would freeze.

The slaughterhouse was huge, but there was no one inside.

They didn’t know if the people working here all went to the wedding, but the place was empty.

The players rubbed their arms and hands, looking at the slaughterhouse.

The slaughterhouse and the village outside seemed to be a different world.

Outside were lush trees, colorful flowers, and a set of beautiful cottages bathed in the sun.

But the color in the slaughterhouse was dark and overcast, gray and white everywhere, and the trees in the middle of the open space were all dead, making people feel depressed for no reason.

Several shelves hung freshly skinned pigs, sheep and other cattle. Not far away was a pigsty and a cattle pen. Their dark eyes stared at them quietly, not like simple animals.

There was a line of eye-catching red letters on the wall next to the pigsty.

The scarlet letter seemed to be written with blood, crooked, immature handwriting: “Killing is forbidden in the slaughterhouse”.

One player couldn’t stand it, “What does this inexplicable sentence mean? Killing people is forbidden, so you can be killed if you become an animal?”

No one answered him. Everyone was inspecting the slaughterhouse, or looking for the trails of the black dog.

“Stab——stab——————”

In the silence, the players suddenly heard a harsh sound of a sharp weapon rubbing against a stone.

With their startled heart, they turned their head abruptly.

That was the sound of a big ax being dragged and rubbed on the ground.

The ax was much larger than normal, covered with blood, and looked very sharp, leaving deep scratches on the stone.

The ax handle was also much longer than usual and held in a rough hand.

It was a strong and big hand that belonged to a man.

The man was wearing a gray short-sleeved shirt, and the outer apron was covered with layers of blood and oil stains. The blood was of different shades, and densely seeped into the linen of the apron.

The man had curly hair from head to neck, and the curly hair was stained with sticky liquid, half covering his face, making it impossible to see his expression clearly.

Holding the ax in one hand, he walked forward with his head slightly lowered, dirty and gloomy.

As he approached, Su Xiangsheng heard Zhu Shuangshuang let out a quick and weak gasp, and he took a step forward to stand in front of her.

The man was not walking toward them, but toward the cattle pen.

When approaching them, the players smelled the strong bloody smell on his body, mixed with an indescribable stench, and all of them held their breaths and raised their guard.

Only Chen Tian spoke. “Excuse me, where is the black dog that was sent to the slaughterhouse this morning?”

The man walked to the cattle pen without looking at them, and said hoarsely, “Cremated.”

“What?” Chen Tian thought he heard it wrong.

The other players felt numb when they heard the word “cremation”.

It was wrong to hear cremation in a slaughterhouse, and it was wrong to enter this place.

The one who reacted most violently was the thin monkey. He stepped forward frantically and asked crazily: “Impossible! He is not dead! How can you cremate a dog in a slaughterhouse, you say—”

The man raised his axe silently, and the tip of the axe flashed a light in the dim sunlight, then fell suddenly.

“Crack——”

Crimson blood spurted out.

The man beheaded the thick bull in front of the pen before it could make any noise.

The blood spattered the thin monkey’s face, thick and warm, as if someone had splashed a pot of red paint on his face, making it hard to open his eyes.

He blinked, his eyelashes were sticky with blood, and it’s like the world became bloody.

He finally broke down.

“Ahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh!”

They looked to the left of the man. At first they didn’t see what the long tube furnace was, but it turned out to be an incinerator.

Standing on the land with dry grass all around, it looks like it was built in the last century, with old and faded paint. They didn’t know how many living creatures had been cremated there. The surrounding was dark as if filled with condensed yin.

The man reached into his mouth and said, “Some animals have viruses in their bodies. If they can’t be eaten, they have to be cremated.”

In the slaughterhouse, they could hear only the crazy screams of the thin monkey. It was silent and, at the same time, noisy.

A few seconds later, Chen Tian stepped forward and grabbed the thin monkey by the neckline and slapped him on the face. “Be sober! Tell me what you did!”

After three consecutive slaps by Chen Tian, the thin monkey could finally speak clearly, “I, I, when Fatty was bitten by the black dog on the leg, I kicked the black dog twice.”

He swallowed, “Fatty could smash the black dog to death, he couldn’t do that without my help.”

Chen Tian: “Then you hit the head of the black dog with a stone like the fat man?”

The thin monkey shook his head violently.

Chen Tian breathed a sigh of relief, “There may be salvation.”

“We have to make amends quickly. All beings are equal... Substitute the dog into a human.”

Chen Tian turned to look at the black robe. “Let’s divide into two teams. You continue to investigate in the slaughterhouse, and I will take the thin monkey to the scene where the black dog was killed.”

Su Xiangsheng looked at Zhu Shuangshuang, who was pale and sweaty, and said, “Let Shuangshuang go with you, so that we can share information.”

Chen Tian nodded.

The assistant beside the black robe also left with them.

Watching them leave the slaughterhouse, Su Xiangsheng noticed that Ning Su was gone, so he hurriedly turned his head to look at the dark warehouse in the corner.

The boy’s back flashed by.

The small warehouse closest to the wall was dark from the outside, and even darker when one went inside.

As soon as Ning Su entered the slaughterhouse, he noticed the child crawled to the door to look at him again.

This time, the child, who hid in the darkness and could only see one of his eye, did not escape.

That eye looked at him motionlessly.

Ning Su’s dark eyes also looked at him in the thick darkness, and he said: “You are human. Why do you crawl on the ground?”
