"Well, I think I'm completely used to facing new environments and strange situations by now. You know, the games have taught me a bit about that." Klaus replied and looked at Ashley's father, causing him to stare with narrowed eyes.

However, he noticed Jimmy's expression and quickly added:

"I mean, facing challenges and adapting to new scenarios is an important part of the Special Program. And I think it has helped me develop problem-solving skills and deal with the unknown effectively."

Ashley's parents seemed pleased with the answer, and Jimmy Cox nodded slightly, as if evaluating Klaus' answer.

The atmosphere at the table became a little more relaxed as everyone began to place their orders, and the conversation gradually shifted to other topics that weren't just about Klaus, such as the special program classes, the size of the campus, and the departments. As the conversation flowed, Klaus took the opportunity to observe the interaction between Ashley's parents. They shared affectionate glances and discreet smiles, demonstrating a strong family bond. It was obvious that Ashley was a daughter who was loved and cherished by her parents, and Klaus understood Jimmy's wariness of his daughter.

"Klaus, so you do archery? That's an interesting hobby." Natasha said.

The boy smiled with a closed mouth. "Actually, I started practicing last year and really fell in love with it. It's easier than it looks and more fun, too." He began with a twinkle in his eye. "It's amazing how the simple act of drawing and releasing an arrow can be so rewarding. It takes concentration, discipline and precision, but it's also great physical exercise and a way to relax and connect with nature."

As Klaus spoke, he noticed the approving smile on Natasha's face and Jimmy's watchful gaze. Ashley's father seemed more interested in understanding Klaus' motivations and values, evaluating every word carefully, while Natasha was more focused on his personal life.

"Archery has also taught me the importance of patience and perseverance. Every shot is a learning opportunity to improve my techniques and excel. It's a challenging but rewarding sport."

As Klaus spoke, he noticed that Ashley's parents' full attention was on him. Jimmy's expression was serious, but there was a slight gleam of interest in his eyes. Natasha, on the other hand, seemed genuinely captivated by Klaus' words.

"That's really impressive, Klaus," Natasha said with a warm smile. "It is great to see how dedicated you are to something you love. I'm sure that passion and determination will be reflected in other areas of your life as well."

Klaus nodded gratefully, feeling encouraged by Natasha's words. He knew that in the eyes of Ashley's parents, compatibility and commitment were important aspects to consider in a serious relationship. Klaus was also aware that Jimmy's approval was essential.

"Klaus is not only good at archery, he is a very good athlete in general. He is fast, strong and very agile. The coordinators from other departments have even invited him to join their teams in the possible national competition that will take place next month. Ashley said excitedly with a smile on her face.

"Is it serious?" Jimmy asked, sounding interested.

Klaus put his left hand on the back of his head and smiled a little shyly. "I've been working hard since before I left school, so I'm good at things that require physical strength. Of course, I want to develop in other areas as well."

"It is important to recognize the points where you need to improve. I admire that."

"Klaus also made the top one hundred students in the special program, so you can bet he's trying hard, right?" Ashley looked at her friend, who nodded a little embarrassed.

As the conversation flowed, the initial tension gradually dissipated and was replaced by a more friendly atmosphere. Everyone began to share their culinary tastes and dining experiences.

The atmosphere of the restaurant was pleasant and refined, with elegant furniture, soft lighting, and soft music in the background. The windows offered a beautiful view of the garden, full of colorful flowers and manicured bushes. It was a quiet and serene place, perfect for enjoying a meal in good company, but it was also quiet, even in the middle of one of the most densely populated cities in the world.

Without a second thought, Natasha shared her culinary experiences from her travels around the world when she was younger, while Jimmy expressed his taste for more traditional dishes.

Klaus, on the other hand, talked about his curiosity to try different cuisines and how that led him to learn to cook.

Ashley was full of enthusiasm when talking about the campus food of the special program. She mentioned the presence of popular restaurants, cozy cafes, and even a regular local food fair where students could sample fresh fruits, vegetables, and greens.

As the meal drew to a close, the atmosphere around the table was light. Laughter and stories filled the air, creating a deeper connection between everyone. Klaus felt accepted by Ashley's parents because he was no longer the focus of the conversation.

As they prepared to leave the restaurant, Klaus felt a mixture of emotions. He was excited about the possibility of building a solid relationship with Ashley's parents based on trust and respect. He also felt that this lunch was just the beginning of a journey, and he was determined to put his best foot forward and earn Jimmy and Natasha's trust.

Since Natasha and Jimmy had other things to do, they suggested that Klaus and Ashley go out together to enjoy the afternoon, and that was exactly what the young couple planned to do.
