Chapter 332 Forest Possession

As Psyker stood in front of the creature with the members of the Metal Dragons Guild watching behind him, he used <Analyzing Eye> to check the monster's weaknesses.

Resistance to Magic Spells: Water, Fire, and Stun].

This made Kaizen smile, because although the creature was of the plant type, the weakest against fire spells, the Forest Possession itself had a natural resistance due to its rocky body. Therefore, he had no choice but to use <Telekinesis> to subdue it.

The core of the creature in front of him looked like a walking tumor, and it was certainly the obvious target, but Kaizen wanted to end this fight with no room for error or further trouble, so he concentrated for a second, and as he extended his left hand forward, he made the Forest Possession float in the air, and then began to squeeze it with his skill, just as he had done with the Steno Gorgon.

The creature screamed and struggled with its tentacles, but it couldn't come close to freeing itself from the Psyker's control. His control and strength with this mysterious energy surrounding him was devastating. Kaizen squeezed harder and harder, until the creature's stone began to crack each time, finally shattering into pieces with an eerie squeak.

[You have killed a Forest Possession; you have gained +10,000 XP].

[You have gained 'Spore Particles'.]

[You gained 'Common Rock'.]

"The items aren't very good, but they can stay for you if you want." Kaizen said, approaching with a piece of rock in one hand and a vial of spores in the other. At the same time, Salles, Anfrid and Jeewok stared at him in amazement.

"How the hell did you make that look so easy?" Jeewok asked.

Kaizen looked at them with a puzzled expression and said:

"I don't know, I just lifted it up and went, you know, 'puft'?"

"Puft?" All three repeated at the same time.

Korgrak moved closer and put a hand on Kaizen's shoulder. "I told you a long time ago that he would grow strong." She said, looking at the others.

"As strong as you?" Kaizen asked, teasing her.

She looked at him, smiled and said:

"Um. I wouldn't say you're far off, but I would definitely beat you in an X1."

"I'm not sure about that. I can improvise pretty well."

"Is that a challenge?"

"That's more of an invitation. I've been wanting to test my limits lately."

"All right, when we're done with this mission, you have my number, just schedule a day."

"Hey, hey!" Salles interrupted her. "No flirting in front of the kid!" He said, pointing at the boy who was watching the scene with excited eyes, as if he were watching a movie scene in person.

Once Klaus had shared the spoils of the forest possession with everyone, they were able to explore the area where the creature was most carefully. It wasn't long before they found something interesting, a stone staircase leading underground. This was more promising than anything they had ever found in this wild garden. They gathered their strength and cautiously descended, illuminated by the light of Anfrid's staff.

The underground was like a large dungeon, with stone walls and a low ceiling, giving it a claustrophobic feeling. Still, they moved on, descending the stone stairs, the dim light from Anfrid's staff slowly illuminating the dark stone walls of the underground, revealing the presence of small cracks and moss growing in the corners. The air grew colder and colder, as if the darkness below was sucking out all the warmth and life above.

The footsteps of the players echoed off the walls, accompanied by the sound of the steady wind coming from the entrance they came from. The smell of dust and mold was distinct, filling their nostrils with every breath. When they finally reached the end of the stairs, they could see a series of dark halls and corridors stretching in all directions, as if the underground were a living, pulsating labyrinth. This was certainly a dungeon, just like all the others, but it looked more sinister and creepy than any other dungeon they had ever entered, no wonder everyone was silent.

In dungeons, the walls were usually lined with rows of burning torches, and in others, only the dim light of crystals illuminated the paths, but in this one, the only thing that accompanied the corridors was pitch, for the place was completely inhospitable and silent.

Suddenly Anfrid stopped, attracting the attention of the others. She pointed to a strange mark ahead, a distant silhouette in the darkness of the main corridor. There was a smell of blood in the direction of the silhouette, and when they looked ahead, there were dark bloodstains and torn pieces of cloth on the ground.

"Careful, people!" she whispered, her eyes fixed on the silhouette.

Kaizen stepped forward as he had before, ready to take care of this creature as well. He snapped the fingers of one hand, creating a fireball, and shot it. The fireball flew easily forward, following the corridor, but inches before it hit its target, Kaizen saw that what the light from the fireball illuminated was not a monster, but a human face, so he immediately turned the fireball into mere flames from a birthday cake candle.

"What happened?" Jeewok asked, confused, "Why did you deactivate your ability?"

Ignoring the young swordsman's question, Kaizen looked at Korgrak and said:

"How and for what reason is there a human here?"
