"What? He rejected the idea of helping you and still threatened you?" Dhetha, the yellow-eyed woman, asked in disbelief as she rejoined Kaizen on the shores of the City of Tears.

"Yes. That's right." Kaizen reassured her.

Dhetha found the psyker's impassive demeanor odd. He might be powerful, but it would have been crucial for them to use the element of surprise to attack Adohorn when they had the chance, instead of trying to recruit a creature that would not help them.

"Do you understand the gravity of the situation? By now Adohorn must know that you are here, that the masked men who approached you are working for him. And he won't forgive you easily, one of them is dead!"

"I understand that you are stressed. It was a mistake on my part to trust a being who almost killed me the first time I met him, but give me a minute of silence to think, please."

With a nonconformist expression, Dhetha crossed her arms, and while it looked to her as if Kaizen was looking out at the lake in the rain, moving his hands as if he were making a plan, Kaizen was actually going through his inventory.

The idea of asking the Forest Guardian for help was only part of the Psyker's plan, and it would have been very good if the legendary creature had agreed to help him, but if that was not the case, not much had changed for Kaizen. His goal was still to save Alina, because logically, it made sense to save her. Alina was probably a unique NPC, with more general knowledge than anyone else, and information in the world of Rise Online and in the real world were surely irreplaceable powers.

Well, I guess it's time to use the things I forged with so much sweat. Kaizen thought, almost smiling with excitement as he looked at his inventory items.

[Item: Sword of the Night (+7 buff)

A silver sword made of metal that is as light as a feather, but slowly becomes darker the more it is struck.

When wielded by its creator, the Kaizen Blacksmith, the sword is able to cut through the wind and create gusts of air sharp enough to cut through rock if necessary.

Forged with the Shadow Crystal of the Shadow Gatune Boss, this is a sword that won't hesitate to adapt to win a battle.

*The appearance of the Sword of the Night evolves as battles progress. This evolution is usually unpredictable and depends on the emotions of its wielder).

Item level: 1 of 3

[Item: Cursed Spirit Armor (+8 buffs).

This armor was forged with a Cursed Ghost Core, an extremely rare item. This makes it one of the strangest and most dangerous armors in the world.

The armor itself is made of an unknown black metal that glows with a bluish-green light in the dark. The closed helmet hides the face and does not reduce the level of protection when removed.

*Immunity to Black Magic: The wearer is immune to all types of black magic.

*Armor Curse: The armor is cursed, and those who wear it for too long begin to be consumed by the cursed spirit will that the core once belonged to. The curse can be avoided by wearing a protective amulet, but when the curse manifests itself, the wearer begins to suffer from hallucinations, mana loss, and physical weakness.

*Once every 200 hours, the wearer of Cursed Ghost Armor can choose to ignore damage from a hit.

Rank: Epic

Stamina: 500/500

Defense: 305 (+80)

Movement Speed: -5

Requirements: Level 50 or higher; Strength (Attack) greater than 70.

Equipped with all these items, Kaizen was almost unrecognizable. If he looked like a beggar before, he now looked more like the ideal vision of a Psyker, an imposing figure.

The all-black armor that covered his body was sturdy yet light. The components seemed to fit perfectly to each limb of his body, as if they had been designed to do just that. And this was no lie, after all, Kaizen made this armor for himself, thinking about when he would face creatures of many levels stronger than himself.

Moreover, this armor glowed with mysticism in the dark environment of the suburbs of the City of Tears, as did the sword in Kaizen's left hand.

The Sword of the Night was simply beautiful, better than any sword Dhetha had ever seen in her life, better than any weapon, in fact. The long, retractable scythe she used to gain advantage over mages in physical combat was nothing compared to this.

The shield on Kaizen's left arm was also very strange. It looked as if it had been carved from the bark of a tree, but it was easy to see that it was as rigid as if it were made of steel.

"Who are you, and what have you done to the Psyker I know?" Dhetha inquired in awe. "Seriously, you look impressive!"

Kaizen stared at her with a straight face. In the next instant, a goofy smile appeared on his face and he said, blushing:

"Ah! You really think so? T-thank you."

Again, Kaizen's embarrassment at receiving praise hit him.

"Ehh? Is he that easily flattered?" thought Dhetha, still in awe, but now in a different way.
