Leon Fights the Demon (2)

He first noticed Anna because of her seriousness in studying magic, as well as her talent. He was always willing to help a talented and hardworking latecomer. With more interactions, he found that she was a cheerful and interesting girl. When she came to him with questions, not only could she benefit, but he could also get some new ideas from her.

But that was all. He had responsibilities to his clan, and he had a fiancée. He could not act on his heart and do whatever he wanted.

However, at this moment, that bit of unwillingness seemed to slightly bubble beneath the surface, driving him to break all the shackles of the past.

Leon looked at Rothgarr and asked in a heavy voice, “Is the truth like Anna said?”

Rothgarr was leaning against the wall lazily, and Anna’s explanation just now made him feel a little complicated.

Anna went to Leon to find out the real effect of the potion because she doubted his statement, but when facing Leon, she defended him, saying that he did not do it on purpose.

Did she trust that he wouldn’t hurt her?

Rothgarr wanted to laugh a little; this period of time had not been in vain.

“Yeah, what would it be otherwise?” Rothgarr didn’t refute Anna’s words, but added a very rude remark, “If I wanted Anna, I don’t need to do that kind of superfluous thing.”

Anna: “…”

Are you that confident? Did she look so easily fooled?

Leon frowned, disdainful of such a battle of words. He looked at Anna, his eyes focused on her: “Sorry, I was too impulsive.”

“It’s okay, I know you are an upright person.” Anna said quickly. She very much liked an upright scholar like Leon. If there was no demon around, and if Leon did not have a fiancée, she might have taken the initiative to get close to him. Even now, didn’t she often unconsciously think of him first when she ran into a problem?

Leon gripped the potion in his hands and smiled at Anna: “You are very talented, keep your current learning attitude, I think you can become a five-star mage. Don’t waste your talent.”

If I still have enough time.

Anna smiled and nodded: “Okay, I will definitely become a five-star mage.”

Leon was silent for a few seconds. He wanted to say something else, but in fact, this was all he was suitable to say.

He nodded slightly and walked out.

Rothgarr looked at him coldly.

Because he had to worry about Anna’s mood, he had endured with all his might and let Leon leave unharmed.

However, when he walked to Rothgarr, Leon suddenly stopped, looked at him and said, “Raymond, we have known each other for a long time. It seems that we haven’t battled before.”

Rothgarr resisted the urge to provoke Leon for Anna’s sake, but when he saw that Leon was actually provoking himself, he sneered: “Want to fight?”

Leon’s typically stoic face became a little more reformed with keen determination: “Let’s go to the martial arts arena to fight.”

Rothgarr sneered: “Okay.”

“When you recover your mental strength…”

“I’m fully recovered and can fight anytime.”

“Okay, see you at the martial arts field in half an hour.”

Leon left after speaking.

The conversation between the two was short and fast. Anna was only stunned for a moment, and the two had already decided to a duel.

But she knew that she was not qualified to stop them, and she vaguely understood that Leon and the demon were not fighting for her, at least not both of them were.

When Leon left, Rothgarr looked at Anna and suddenly said, “Who told you that I accidentally made a mistake?”

Anna was already used to the demon pulling the rug from under his own feet, so while Natalie was standing beside her with wide-eyes and a surprised face, Anna just smiled and said, “I am willing to believe so. But no matter what the real reason is, don’t let there be a second time. I’m willing to forgive you this time for the sake of our friendship.”

In fact, what she was saying vaguely meant that she knew that he did not make a mistake by accident, but she could forgive him, and there wouldn’t be a next time.

Of course she didn’t want to lose consciousness like this again. Losing control of her body for a period of time was actually very disturbing.

Rothgarr was silent for a moment, not admitting that he had indeed been mistaken for a moment.

He asked Anna: “In my fight with Leon, who do you want to win?”

Anna said without hesitation: “You.”

Rothgarr’s expression suddenly softened, and he raised his eyebrows: “Really?”

“Really.” Anna said firmly. After all, if Leon won the battle in the martial arts arena, he would probably lose his life outside the arena. Of course, it was better for the demon to win. Moreover, Raymond’s body was slightly stronger than Leon’s, and with the addition of the demon’s powers, it would be weird if he didn’t win.

Rothgarr smiled smugly. “I won’t let you down, then.”

“Why don’t you prepare first, and Natalie and I will pack up and go over here.” Anna smiled.

“Don’t be late.” Rothgarr said and left.

Anna felt as if she had fought a big battle. The smile on her face could no longer be maintained, and she slumped down on the chair.

She really wanted to become a five-star mage, and really wanted to be free of the demon.

“Anna, are you okay?” Natalie asked worriedly. They seemed calm and restrained just now, but she somehow felt that they would break out in a fight in the next moment, and she was so nervous that she didn’t dare to speak up until she and Anna were the only ones in the potion lab.
