Coming to the Demon’s Rescue (7)

Anna was silent for a moment. For Natalie’s safety, she raised her hand and placed it in the demon’s hand and pulled him out: “Then let’s go home!”

She turned back to Natalie and said, “Happy birthday Natalie, we’re gonna head back first, you have fun, see you tomorrow!”

Although Natalie regretted that Anna was leaving now, she could see Anna’s predicament. She smiled and waved, “See you tomorrow!”

When she left Baron Wright’s Mansion, Anna felt that it was a little unfortunate that she couldn’t drink the delicious green plum wine. She thought she could ask Natalie to bring some later, and she would drink it secretly at home.

After getting into the carriage, Anna sat opposite the demon like she had coming here. She turned her head to look out the window.

Rothgarr motioned for the coachman to go. He leaned back in his chair and looked at Anna.

It took him a long time to say, “Are you angry?”

Anna turned her head and grinned at him: “No, why would I be angry? ”

Rothgarr was silent. He fell into a very rare state of confusion. Truthfully, he felt that Anna was angry, but she said that she was not angry, and from her appearance, it seemed that she was being sincere.

Rothgarr thought about it seriously. Anna probably had an issue with him making her go home early.

He couldn’t tell the real reason. He stared at Anna for a long time and said, “Anna, you said that we should get to know each other first. If you get angry and don’t tell me, how will I get to know you?”

Anna thought, if you can’t even tell whether the other party is angry or not, then what kind of love is there! Iron straight men* should be single all their lives!

[T/N: A slightly derogatory term used to describe men of a particular stereotype. This type of man would be into very typical male-interests. They also have trouble understanding the ladies. When the topic is something like art or fashion, they would immediately lose interest.]

She raised her brows and was about to speak, when she suddenly realized something. It was as if cold water was poured down her head and woke her up.

How dangerous, she was almost led astray by him!

She was not really in love with him; she could pretend to be angry, but if she was truly angry then it was all over!

Anna broke out in a cold sweat and quickly adjusted her emotions.

Pretending to understand each other with the demon, she only needed to give a little feedback, not too much. She also couldn’t take it too seriously herself.

Anna sat upright, looking at the demon like a lecturing teacher. She said with a smile: “This is a step in the process of understanding each other, you must take a step by yourself. Do you think I am angry?”

Rothgarr: “…”

He suddenly wanted to ask Balan if it was also as troublesome for him when he fell in love with Catherine?

It was always others trying to guess his emotions, guessing if he would kill them. When was it ever his turn to guess other people’s emotions?

Rothgarr stared at Anna for a moment, then decided to skip the “guessing” step, saying, “I’ll teach you a new spell.”

Anna: “…?”

Is that how you change a topic? Or…did he mean, whether or not she was angry, he would placate her with a spell?

… Such a good thing, she was done!

Anna coughed lightly: “…Tell me what the new spell is.”

Rothgarr’s lips curled slowly, it seemed he was really getting to know Anna. Even if she was really angry, teaching her a new spell would be enough to coax her. And he had countless new spells in his head.

He stretched out his hand, and Anna hesitated for a moment, then stretched out her hand as well.

Rothgarr took her hand and slowly drew the spell circuit in her palm.

Anna felt a bit ticklish, and tensed her palm muscles to endure it, earnestly remembering this spell circuit. This spell circuit was very simple, with only two basic circuits, but with very subtle modifications.

“Using the light element, this can speed up the recovery of your spiritual power.” Rothgarr did not let go of Anna’s hand after writing, looking at her as he said this.

Anna asked subconsciously, “How much faster?”

“A thousand times.”

Anna sucked in a breath of surprise, this… this was  not the spell circuit of the Human Realm, was it! It was a little too powerful…

Anna was still in a state of surprise when the carriage suddenly stopped. She casually glanced outside, and saw that they were at her residence.

Anna was shocked. She thought that the demon would send her back to the Mage Association, she didn’t expect that he would send her home directly!

The problem was… there was someone else in her home. The demon didn’t want to send her through the door, did he!

Rothgarr suddenly found a way to easily coax Anna. He was in a good mood. He opened the carriage door and got out of the carriage first, then reached out to Anna and helped her get off the carriage.

Anna was flustered in her heart, but her expression was calm: “Thank you for sending me back, you should go back too.”

Rothgarr didn’t let go of Anna’s hand after he helped Anna get off the carriage. Hearing her words, he finally let go of her and watched her go around the carriage and head towards the two-story house.

At this moment, the door of the attic on the side of the house opened, and a figure stuck his head out to take a look, and then quickly retracted.

Anna: “…!” It was all over! Either Abel was done for or she was done for!
