Interlude – The day the light dimmed

What happened in this chapter is something that will be explained in the very, very, very, very distant future----

It was a Saturday night, several people were walking down a busy street.

Suddenly, the traffic light changed to green.

A couple of older women were chatting about an event.

"Is it serious?"

"Yes. It was last week."

"Good heavens. What horrible news."

"No doubt. The youth of today I don't know what things they think about."

A person came up near them.

"I don't know what his family must be going through. Really, what must that boy have been thinking of to commit suicide?"

"Imagine. Jumping onto the tracks of a train."

At that moment, the light changed to red.

At the top of the Tokyo tower was a shadow watching everything.

"More... I need more... dark energy... to... level up... and kill them..."

"The system... is in ruins... the others too... they will realize..."

"This time... I will destroy it... the world... will enter its final phase..."

The strange shadow then turned its gaze to a window of a house.

In it, a girl was playing a video game.

"Aaaaahhhh damn you! Why is it so hard to kill that bloody knight!!? This game sucks!"

The girl threw the controller controller onto the bed, immediately lay down on it.

Then she checked her phone and muttered.

"That stupid big brother hasn't answered my messages for a while now. Next time I see him, I'm going to beat him up."

The mysterious shadow saw her and from the back of its black color, a sinister smile showed.

"The cycle... will end soon.... Illya."
