13. Trauma (2)

Ye-Hyeon was lying in a dark space.

All he could see in the narrowed view was endless piles of corpses.

‘This dream again!’ Ye-Hyeon laughed bitterly inside.

The rigid body did not budge as if it had become one of the scattered bodies everywhere.

Despite this, the vivid smell of blood seemed to be transmitted through the memory to skin.

Ye-Hyeon deeply sighed.

At first, it was painful enough to vomit in vain, but Ye-Hyeon got used to it after having nightmares over and over again.

Now Ye-Hyeon could take it quite bluntly.

‘’I don’t know. actually, it seemed that it was not normal to dream this kind of dream often.’

The ominous silence continued.

The ending of the nightmare was varied.

There were times when Ye-Hyeon just kept lying like this, and he was drowned in a pool of blood and suffocated. Sometimes he would be eaten by a shadow swarming like a bug.

It was useless to predict when and how he would die.

When Ye-Hyeon was preparing his mind, he was bullied in a completely different way as if he were laughing at him.

The eerie energy made Ye-Hyeon’s hair curl.

Ye-Hyeon knew it was a dream, but it was hard because he couldn’t feel it clearly.

Ye-Hyeon felt suffocated.

He suddenly saw a huge mountain of corpses.

“Is Yoon Seung-Jae and Shin Do-Gyeom in there?”

Ye-Hyeon’s heart sank for no reason at the thought that came to mind unconsciously.

Ye-Hyeon almost died, but he didn’t have to suffer death.

Ye-Hyeon felt strange when he imagined the two people who became cold bodies.

Perhaps the long and boring nightmare is over now, but the vision has been distorted.

“Hey, hey, hey. Are you awake?”

A familiar voice called Ye-Hyeon urgently.

Ye-Hyeon opened his eyes slowly, rubbing his stiff eyes.

The smell of disinfectants unique to the hospital caught Ye-Hyeon’s nose.

“Yoon Seung-Jae? Why are you here? The dungeon is, uh……’

Ye-Hyeon, who was trying to sit up in bed, touched his forehead with dizziness.

“Hyung!” Yoon Seung-Jae grabbed Ye-Hyeon’s shoulder urgently.

Ye-Hyeon was so surprised because he looked like he was crying.

“You’ve been sleeping for two days. Be careful.”

“Two days?”

“Yeah. They said you fainted when you saw the shadow of a shadow manipulator, not a monster?”

Yoon Seung-Jae said bluntly, while carefully laying down Ye-Hyeon.

The discontented gaze toward Ye-Hyeon was mixed with a little pity.

“Uh, no way.” Ye-Hyeon wrapped his face with both hands.

The first attack was a little close, but after that, it was enough for veteran hunters to recover.

Looking back now, it wasn’t even dangerous, but Ye-Hyeon even saw his incoming death.

Even though he was a porter, Ye-Hyeon was a veteran who went to and from dungeons countless times.

It was disgraceful that he was not injured and fainted against Lizadri.

But why were there monsters ambush there?’ Ambushing in the high ground was the method used only by mid-boss minions. How did they do that?

Contrary to Ye-Hyeon’s expectation, his fingertips trembled.

The fear seemed to have not completely disappeared yet.

“Right. Why did you not wait for me? Why are you going to the dungeon alone? Do you know you’re reckless? I’m glad you didn’t get hurt, but you know it could have been a big deal, right?”

Yoon Seung-Jae fired back without any time to refute.

Ye-Hyeon smiled awkwardly because it was awkward to be scolded for being hurt by someone other than his sister.

Yoon Seung-Jae held Ye-Hyeon’s hand tightly to see what misunderstanding he had.

“I told you I’d protect you. Can’t you trust me? Go with me from now on.” Yoon Seung-Jae nodded seriously with a determined face.

‘ Target 4: Yoon Seung-Jae’s affection has increased by 2 points.

“Yoon Seung-Jae…” Ye-Hyeon alternated between the system window and Yoon Seung-Jae with a blank face.

Ye-Hyeon can say okay, thank you, or answer roughly, but his lips can’t.

Ye-Hyeon was embarrassed because he could feel Yoon Seung-Jae’s words, which he had taken as a joke.

Ye-Hyeon has been alone ever since he collapsed after losing his parents.

Ye-Hyeon couldn’t trust anyone, he couldn’t rely on anyone.

He was the only one who protected himself.

Looking at Yoon Seung-Jae’s unshakable eyes, Ye-Hyeon’s stomach felt itchy.

‘Choi Ye-Hyeon. An 8 years old, no, 5 years old do child is comforting you.’

Ye-Hyeon rubbed the tip of his nose awkwardly, saying,

“..thank you.”

After going through this and that, he seemed to have weakened without even realizing it.

Ye-Hyeon held his heart and tightly closed his lips.

The doctor came at once.

Ye-Hyeon underwent all kinds of tests as he was told.

Throughout the examination, Yoon Seung-Jae stuck to Ye-Hyeon’s side as if he were a guardian and did not fall off.

Even though Ye-Hyeon assured Yoon Seung-Jae several times that he was okay, Seung-Jae didn’t listen to Ye-Hyeon, so he gave up.

“The tests were all normal. Nothing special.”

“I think I’m just surprised.” Ye-Hyeon replied embarrassingly.

It was close, but there was no way that there would have been an injury because the Lizadri didn’t manage to get close.

“New hunters often show symptoms of post-traumatic stress disorder. Please don’t take it lightly and make sure to visit if you have symptoms.”

“I will.”

Yoon Seung-Jae opened his eyes wide and looked at Ye-Hyeon at the word post-traumatic stress disorder.

Instead of saying it was okay, Ye-Hyeon shook his small head.

The F-class hunter also provided treatment, but did not manage the mental part as it is now. He doesn’t know if it’s because it’s class D or because it’s a healer, but he was dissatisfied either way.

“I must be F-level to the core.” Ye-Hyeon swallowed a frustrated laugh.

“I think you can leave the hospital right away.”

“You’ll be hospitalized for one more day.” Yoon Seung-Jae said.

“Hey, Yoon Seung-Jae.”

“One more day.”

Yoon Seung-Jae answered quickly.

Yoon Seung-Jae repeated with a stubborn look even though Ye-Hyeon called his name in disbelief.

Then, he slightly pulled Ye-Hyeon’s sleeve.

Yoon Seung-Jae’s round side face looked younger today, so Ye-Hyeon lost his words.

“I’ll be there. Call me if anything happens.”

Yoon Seung-Jae stood up by the bed, hesitatingly.

“Okay. Go on. You’re tired because you came back from the gate today.”

Ye-Hyeon had barely persuaded Yoon Seung-Jae for him to stay in the hospital room only until tomorrow.

In case he changed his mind, he waved his hand as if he had kicked him out.

Yoon Seung-Jae closed the lights with an uneven expression.

The white space quickly became dark.

Ye-Hyeon took a breath in vain.

His heart beat a little fast.

“Yoon Seung. . . . ..”

“Huh?”

“No, just. Good night.”

Ye-Hyeon, who tried to catch Yoon Seung-Jae without realizing it, came to his senses and lied down.

There was a sound of door closing behind his back.

“Whoa…” Ye-Hyeon, who was left alone in the hospital room, took a deep breath.

Ye-Hyeon was confused, but when it was dark around, his heart beat fast and his hands and feet cooled down.

It seemed to be a trauma that is caused by facing the super boss.

Ye-Hyeon was in trouble if he fainted or his body hardened just by confronting the monster.

Ye-Hyeon opened his eyes wide and stared at the corner of the hospital room.

The black shadow seemed to be trying to hit Ye-Hyeon because it couldn’t move like a wave.

Instead of turning on the light, Ye-Hyeon put the blanket over his head.

The darkness deepened.

Ye-Hyeon forcibly turned away from his trembling body.

Ye-Hyeon, who was discharged safely, ignored Yoon Seung-Jae, who told him to rest for a few days just in case, and participated in the monster sweep again.

Yoon Seung-Jae complained but applied along with Ye-Hyeon.

“Hey, tell me if you’re having a hard time. I’ll give you a piggyback ride.”

While heading to the gate, Yoon Seung-Jae hovered around Ye-Hyeon, flirting like a puppy.

Ye-Hyeon only shook his head.

Ye-Hyeon’s mouth hurts saying it’s okay now.

This dungeon was a desert terrain.

As soon as Ye-Hyeon entered the gate, the hot, dry air warmed the back of his neck.

[system]

The target in the dungeon is being recognized.

The first message Ye-Hyeon saw came to mind.

Yoon Seung-Jae was in the dungeon before Ye-Hyeon.

[system]

Recognition completed. Set up a party.

“It’s a party?” Ye-Hyeon opened a new icon with a frown.

<Party>

Target in the dungeon: ¼

Additional experience: 25%

Party members: Choi Ye-Hyeon, Yoon Seung-Jae

“Oh my God.”

Ye-Hyeon reflexively covered his mouth.

Otherwise, Ye-Hyeon thought he’d scream.

Earned additional experience? Isn’t it amazing?

The useless status window gave Ye-Hyeon a satisfying function for the first time.

Ye-Hyeon couldn’t believe it even though he was looking at it with his eyes.

It was a small murmur, so Seung-Jae might not have heard it, but Seung-Jae, who was ahead, turned around.

“Hyung,What’s wrong?”

“Huh? It’s hotter than I thought.”

“Do you want water?”

“No.”

Ye-Hyeon retorted and read the explanation carefully.

<Information: Additional Experience Value Acquisition>

The player additionally acquires n% of the average experience value acquisition of the party member.

Yoon Seung-Jae’s experience was not shared, but he would receive more as a percentage.

If it was to be shared,Yoon Seung-Jae and other targets would have had a problem raising the level.

Since it’s 25% for one person, it’s 100% if all four gather, right? It means that just by entering the dungeon with the targets without doing anything, the level goes up.

The two targets are both S-Class. If we can keep up with the growth rate of future rankers, a super-large gate clear may have much potential.

Ye-Hyeon’s face brightened.
