Chapter 212 - Push and pull

Hearing Taehyun's sudden outburst of feeling, Jinhee was shocked. She did not know how to react to his feelings or do at this moment. The entire time, she had been thinking of herself.

She never put Taehyun or how he felt towards her into consideration. Everything seemed so natural to her that she treated it all normally. She did not think of what to do with his feelings towards her.

Even when she rejected him, she went back to him again, and in a way, maybe she was being cruel to him. She never put a clear boundary between the two of them. She regarded Taehyun as hers without bothering about his feelings.

At the end of the day, Taehyun was a human, and he could get insecure as well. Taking in a deep breath, she decided to be honest with him. After everything he did for her, this was at least something he deserved.

"Taehyun, I am confused. That's the only thing I can say to you at this moment," Jinhee said— her voice showing her frustration.

"I know playing this game of push and pull game is unfair to you. After all, you have done a lot for me and I admit that I owe you. You are a warm person, and the first person I would seek comfort from is you, Taehyun-ah. Yes, I am dependent on you, and without you, I am a mess.

I reject you, but I know you would come back to me. So, I don't put much thought into it. Without you, Taehyun, I find myself being incomplete, but I don't know if I love you or am completely dependent over you. No matter what I say, I always want you to be close to me.

I won't lie; At times, you make me nervous and make my heart beat faster. I even find you attractive sometimes. But all of these don't determine whether I love you or not," Jinhee said.

Jinhee then added, "I need you, Taehyun."

Hearing those words from Jinhee, Taehyun's cheeks turned red. He did not expect Jinhee to be that honest. Nonetheless, her answer made Taehyun feel joy. Even if she did not notice it, Taehyun knew that she was close to falling for him.

Holding Jinhee, Taehyun pulled her into a tight hug, and wearing a smile on her face, Jinhee wrapped her hands around Taehyun. Both of their hearts beating at the same rate.

"Jinhee-ah, can you feel how rapidly you made my heart beat with your words? I am really happy. Finally, I can see sparks of hope," Taehyun voiced out.

"Really? Don't be that confident. It could be that I was lying to trick you," Jinhee retorted.

"Is that so? Was that kiss to trick me as well? Then, I would prefer you to trick me my entire life," Taehyun stated.

"Kiss? What's that? Must have been your hallucination," Jinhee voiced out.

"I have no problem in turning that into a reality, Jinhee-ah," Taehyun said.

Taehyun then pulled out of the hug, and staring at Jinhee with a serious look, he questioned, "Speaking about that, should we try it again?"

"Han Taehyun, you're too horny for a seventeen year old. Just go back to your room now!" Jinhee said as a small blush covered her cheeks.

What happened earlier flashed in Jinhee's mind instantly, and the mere thought of that kiss was enough to heat Jinhee up. This was not her first time kissing someone. However, with Taehyun, it felt really different— in a good way.

"My Jinhee radar says that you mean the opposite so I will stay in this room. Since both of us have exams to study for, let's do it together, alright?" Taehyun vocalised.

Lee Jinhee scoffed, raising one of her eyebrows, she questioned, "Studying with you?"

She then added, "It will be an utter mess."

Taehyun scrunched up his nose and said, "Do you distrust me that much, Jinhee-ah? I promise to seriously teach you and make you get passing marks this time around. I know how much this means to you, and I will be a supportive boyfriend to you?"

"B-Boyfriend!? Yah! Han Taehyun, when did you become my boyfriend!?" Jinhee exclaimed.

"Ever since you kissed me back, you agreed with me on how you belong to me, and since now are mine, I get to call you my girlfriend," Taehyun stated.

"Yah! Yah! That makes no sense. I still have a fiance, and that kiss was just your hallucination!" Jinhee vocalised.

"Before coming here, I told your fiancée about how I will be kissing you, and he seemed fine about it," Taehyun voiced out.

"Hold on! You talked about this with Taeho. Not this, you were actually confident that you'd be able to kiss me?" Jinhee said.

Taehyun nodded.

"Heol! Do I appear to be an easy girl to you? Wait! The fact that I kissed you despite having a fiancée does make me an easy girl," Jinhee said before letting out a groan of frustration. She really wanted to beat Taehyun up.

Han Taehyun shook his head and vocalised, "It's not that you're an easy girl, Jinhee-ah. It's merely the fact that no one can resist my charms."

Before Jinhee could roll her eyes at Taehyun's eyes, he added, "Hold on a second. Didn't you say that kiss was merely my hallucination?"

"I don't know! I don't know! I don't know about anything! Don't say anything to me!" Jinhee exclaimed.

"One more word of that kiss, Taehyun, and I am not studying with you," Jinhee threatened whilst hoping that this threat of hers would work.

Arching his eyebrows, Taehyun questioned, "Does that mean you agree to studying with me?"

Clapping both of his hands together, Taehyun continued, "That's great to hear. I'll get my books and go to the library. You do the same as well."

Leaning his face closer to Jinhee's face, Taehyun asked, "Do you want me to carry your books as well?"

Pushing Taehyun's away by his chest, Jinhee voiced out, "I believe I will manage on my own."
