Chapter 438 Planet Austere

Edgar took Legolas and Heimdall on a tour around his base.

Edgar called his rogue hunter group the Epoch Changers, this involved his ambition through the help of the Hermit to change his fate of his planet.

If Planet Austere continued on its current path, the fate of the planet was to be dominated by the apocalypse beasts, leaving all the humans extinct but Edgar was determined to change the course of history.

This was the motivation for the name of his rogue hunter group.

Over the years, he already developed to become a great preacher. Preaching his good news of saving the planet, he managed to attract lots of hunters, both rogue and official hunters already who were ready to work on his behalf.

The most common fact about his subordinates was that they were not resigned to let their future generations continue in this dangerous state.

They all wanted to build a better future for their children.

The Epoch Changers rogue hunter group had approximately 2000 hunters. Though, in the large scheme of teams, that was still small, considering the total amount of humans were in Planet Austere, this was already big.

The hidden underground base was like a familiar base that Legolas raided alongside Christensen and some players years ago.

The layout was similar to that of the Swordmaster Hideout.

While Edgar led the tour around the base, all his subordinates were amazed.

Since inception, one of Edgar's greatest campaign strategies to attract hunter volunteers was his claim that he had access to a galactic gathering.

When he became a Grade C Psychic, his claim gained more ground since he claimed that he had multiple Grade C friends in his galactic gathering.

Few people believed him, but there were those who believed in miracles.

At this moment though, as the tour continued, those words from Edgar no longer seemed as outlandish. In Planet Austere, Grade B was the pinnacle of strength but there were less than 3 Grade B Supers in the planet.

They stood no chance before the dangerous beasts that roamed here.

In the presence of only 2 Grade B Supers, Grade C Supers became the most dominant force in the planet. Grade C Supers were revered the same way that they were revered in Planet Darvis, most Supers saw them as their end goal.

This was why 2 Grade C Superhumans suddenly visiting their hideout and being so yummy with their leader was a big deal to these warriors.

'The leader was right Afterall, he really has connections outside our planet'.

'Do we really have a chance of escaping extinction?'

'Even if the chance is extremely slim, I'll gladly go for it'.

'The leader has to get all the support that he needs'.

Edgar never intended for it but Legolas and Heimdall's presence motivated his rogue army. Some pledged their lives and undying loyalty to him on the spot, others even got set to join him in preaching the news of hope.

After the tour, all 3 of them finally settled down at the deepest room of this hideout, that was where Legolas addressed them about his real intentions.

"I didn't say it previously due to various reasons, but my real intention for deciding to come to Planet Austere is to take in the immortals here".

"…" Edgar was confused.

"…" Heimdall was shocked. "The immortals also exist here?"

"Yes". Legolas turned to look at him. "They are universal, they inhibit different planets across the universe".

"My goal is to recruit them into Edgar's rogue group".

"Is there a special reason that…?"

"Yes". Legolas answered before Heimdall could finish. "The immortals are extremely important to me, my natural talent evolves through studying them".

"The more of them I get to study, the faster I grow".

Legolas' face was serious throughout as he spouted this nonsense.

Heimdall nodded seriously. "It explains a lot. Afterall, your rapid rise seems to coincide with the first appearance of the immortals".

This was when Edgar interjected. "What are immortals?"

"They are Supers who don't die".

"…" Edgar was shocked. "Such Supers exist?"

"Yes". Legolas nodded seriously.

Having expected a scenario like this, he proceeded to explain the properties of the player. "When killed, they dissipate into white light and later revives".

"In large numbers, they are like a large army of immortals".

"They are not exactly too strong now, but in large armies, a force of soldiers that do not die can intimidate any opponent".

Edgar rubbed his chin in thought. "The Skyrim King!"

"What's that?"

"The Skyrim race is one of the 3 leading races alongside the human race in Planet Austere".

"The Skyrim King is the highest-ranking Skyrim representative in the hunter union, he boasts a special army with properties similar to what you just described, but he calls them the Zombie army".

"They recently became the most important of his 3 elite forces".

-----

[You have triggered Grade B Mission: Professional Theft!]

[Mission Details: The Skyrim King boasts an army of players, he claims to have created them himself. Through great benefits, he is able to keep a hold of them.]

[Main Mission: Do not use force, try to steal his players the professional thief way. Do not stain your hands; steal and leave as a clean man, a non-suspect, that's the professional way.]

[Mission Reward: Hint to the location of the other players in Planet Austere.]

----

"…" Legolas was shocked.

'Damn, even a mission was triggered for it?'

'Awesome, I never expected it!' He was surprised.

"That's the one". Legolas finally said.

"The Skyrim King?"

"Yes, he is our target".

"Uh…" Edgar fidgeted and scratched his head.

Legolas had a bad feeling. "What?"

"Actually, the Skyrim King…, he's the 2nd Grade B Super in Planet Austere, the 1st Grade B Super is the human Champion Hunter, Maximus".

"…"

'A scam like expected!' Legolas screamed in his mind.

He soon calmed down though. 'I'm not giving up this'.

He finally understood the reason for the name of the triggered mission. 'There's no way I can beat a Grade B powerhouse with force, like the system indicates, the only way is by using my brain'.

He sighed. 'Professional theft it is then'.

He looked at his 2 companions. "Get ready, we're moving to town".
