Christensen clashed with the colossal Sand Worm like his life depended on it, the G-96 automatic pistols roared like thunder, rapidly spewing bullets at the beast as Brutus kept on wreaking mischief from the shadows.

Brutus may not be a combatant, but when it came to toying with enemies that were far more powerful than him, he was the best at it.

The fact that he managed to toy with a Grade C Frost Wolf, stealing from right under its nose while still staying alive till today said a lot about his abilities.

At this moment, Brutus against the Sand Worm was like the Batman vs Joker scenario. While the Sand Worm was Batman, Brutus was Joker.

Sand Worms already had pretty lame senses outside the sand.

They had a bad sense of sight and smell, they mostly sense through touch.

With his shadow powers, Brutus toyed with this massive beast. He hindered his sight even more as the Sand Worm's tiny eyes kept on squinting to no avail, he also used his abilities to mess with its sense of direction.

Leo may not have access to his ice abilities but having acclimatized to the desert already, the power that he had access to was enough.

"Leo, Weather Manipulation!"

After biding his time for 5 minutes as the battle raged, Legolas finally gave the order as Leo without hesitation used his weather manipulation powers.

Instantly, the temperature in this part of the collision dropped rapidly.

Shriek!

The startled Sand Worm was spooked by the temperature change.

As a warm-blooded animal that loved only hot regions, after losing its sight, and suddenly feeling the temperature turn cold, this colossal beast panicked.

Through his master, Christensen learned a lot of things.

One of these things was that every opponent no matter how powerful had weaknesses that could be targeted, knowing these weaknesses were part of his work as a Summoner to become a greater Summoner than his master.

By knowing Kiddo's love for lollipop chocolates, his master was able to tame the extremely dangerous Chefron. Knowing that Black Master Einstein's weakness was the alien machine, Legolas attacked it to buy their escape.

These 2 were just part of the examples that he already saw his master do.

Through all these examples, he learned.

Since the Sand Worm was a warm-blooded beast, if he decreased the temperature, the beast would definitely be left flustered.

And as he expected, the Sand Worm panicked.

Christensen was not about to miss this heavenly window of opportunity.

"Now!"

Leo pounced on the beast savagely as Christensen sprinted under its colossal form. The Sand Worm may tower over Leo, but his teeth and claws could still deal damage to the colossal beast as it shrieked.

Through Captain Aegon during their travels, Legolas already heard of Sand Worms previously and knew that their main weakness was their genitals.

Christensen went under this beast and aimed with his pistols.

He was ruthless, he pulled the trigger.

Bam! Bam! Bam!

"SHRIEK!!!"

The Sand Worm shrieked loudly in pain and agony as its balls shattered, it fell down dead the next moment just in time for Christensen to escape from under it.

Christensen became the contestant to kill the first Sand Worm.

He turned to his beasts with a smile. "Good job".

He smiled at Brutus. "You see how easy it is when we work together?"

The Shadow Hound snorted without replying.

Christensen smiled as his eyes gleamed with even more excitement. "I'm not stopping here, let's hunt more".

As soon as Christensen killed the first Sand Worm, Sand Worms erupted in other locations as the other contestants started killing also.

Some contestants were unlucky, 4 of them already died to the Sand Worms.

Also, as more Sand Worms died, the others were intimidated as none of them came out of their hideouts to attack the humans anymore. They were content with staying still at the dark depths of the sand and hiding.

After 30 minutes, Christensen already killed his 2nd Sand Worm, tying the record that Blade and 3 other warriors of the Desert Tribes held.

He did not stop here though. "I want more!"

Since the Sand Worms were all hiding now, the other contestants who had not killed yet were handicapped as they could not track the beasts.

All of them suffered this handicap, except Christensen.

Christensen was determined as he tracked under the ground after another Sand Worm. It took him 20 minutes to finish tracking to the depths where this beast was content with hiding, and due to Brutus, the Sand Worm did not discover him.

Legolas was the one who benefited most from these golden 20 minutes.

Legolas was all smiles as he watched his student force the Sand Worm out.

More experienced already with dealing with its kind, Christensen only needed 4 minutes to completely thrash this beast.

Sand Worms were gigantic beasts with even more ridiculous strength but with the right technique and once you knew them, killing them was easy.

With this kill, Christensen broke the record of the desert tribes.

All the spectators watching were impressed as they cheered him on.

2 minutes later, the competition was finally brought to an end.

A few minutes later, Christensen stood alongside Tribe Chief Kohama as he received his prize for grabbing first position in the Sand Worm competition.

He received a specially crafted bow and arrow with a long history in the Kong Tribe. Despite having the G-96 pistols already, this bow was still extremely useful as it had a range as ridiculous as any mainstream sniper that Legolas knew.

With that, the celebration of the heroes finally came to an end.

Outside the territory of the Kong Tribe…

Legolas and his students said their last goodbyes to the warriors of the Vanguard Squad. "I'll definitely miss you guys".

They laughed as they used this to mask their sadness. None of them wanted to see themselves crying, that would be embarrassing, they were men.

"I'll miss Aegon's seriousness".

"I'll also miss Arnold's 'so noisy' catchphrase, haha". Legolas laughed.

"Damn, I'll miss all of you".

"That's enough big head". Captain Aegon smiled.

"Find some time to visit, I would also love to visit you but you know, I'm a Tribe Chief candidate already". His smile turned bitter.

After saying their last goodbyes, they all left, leaving Altan. Altan sought some private time with Legolas beyond his 2 students.

There, he clenched his fists as he looked down. "I want to be like you, I want to serve the Hermit".

He raised his head and looked into Legolas's eyes as his eyes burned with a fiery fervency. "I already forsaked my god, I now want to serve the Hermit".

"He was the god who answered in my time of need, I will serve him with all my heart and soul forever!"

Legolas felt goosebumps as he listened to this. 'Is he still ok?'

He already knew that Altan was a religious nut but he didn't know that it was so intense, the mere thought of someone worshipping him felt so crazy to him that he felt a chill crawling down his smile.

He forced a smile. "The Hermit welcomes all followers any time".

"In your private time, you can pray to him, he will tell you what to do".

Altan became extremely emotional. "Thank you".

As Altan returned, Legolas and his students finally left the desert.
