Chapter 88 Ambitions

Christensen woke up on the 4th day feeling emotional.

It was just a few months ago when he was still a Grade E Summoner with no strength, no beast control, and zero battle instincts. But fast-forward a month later alongside his master, here he was as a great Summoner already.

Leo still had a way to go before he could level up to the Grade D realm but Christensen was not concerned about that, everything was worth it to him.

His time, the cost for dedication, it was all worth it.

Thinking back to how just less than 3 weeks ago, he was so worthless in battle against his 2 talented sisters but now he could kill Grade E psychopaths of the Clown Society left him feeling like he finally had a purpose in life.

His new purpose in life was to stay loyal to his master.

His new purpose in life was to serve his master.

And his new purpose in life was to exceed his master.

Christensen was determined to try his best to achieve these 3 things.

That morning the sun was bright as its golden rays shone from the horizons, bathing the island in it's beautiful embrace, forming a scenery that was almost only seen in masterpiece paintings.

As Christensen admired the view, he sighed. "I've come a long way".

"Stop saying it like you're an old man at his sick bed already". Legolas joked as both of them burst into a fit of laughter.

Alongside his student, Legolas admired the island and the sea while thinking about a lot of things. Legolas thought about his reincarnation again.

Though he seemed to have accepted the explanation of the so-called God of Games about his reincarnation, he was not satisfied with such half-ass answers.

That may be the truth but his curiosity was more ambitious than that. If the God of Games was really a God, did that mean gods were real? And did that have any relation with the progression of supers in this world?

Having read of charlatan powerhouses that feigned god in some isekai novels in his previous life, he could not cut off this possibility from his mind.

What if the God of Games was just an extremely powerful super? What if he didn't know anything and was actually lying all along?

He behaved like he accepted the God of Games' explanation to take him off his back. In reality, he was still as curious as ever.

To know the truth behind his reincarnation and break the veil of mystery, he would do anything possible to get it even if that meant facing gods and demons.

'Like they say, if my curiosity dies, I die'.

'I can't let my curiosity die'.

Through the corner of his eyes, Legolas peeked at Christensen. At some point in time, without even knowing, he already strayed from the real reason why he decided to take Christensen in.

He took the young prince in to take advantage of his future status as a powerhouse and main character, but now their relationship already grew a lot.

He didn't even know if he could take advantage of Christensen anymore, their bond already developed a lot.

Legolas laughed. 'The human mind is really so vulnerable and attachable'.

The next moment, Legolas patted Christensen on the shoulder. "Big man Chris, as it seems, you've finally graduated from my boot camp training".

"You've now mastered 5 of the 6 basic summoner knowledge that I mastered".

"You've mastered the art of tracking".

"You've honed your combat instincts".

"You're a great summoner already".

"Overall, you've made me proud as a master and as a reward for your efforts like I promised, take, this is the Enhanced Knowledge intermediate knowledge".

Christensen took the book with stars and tears practically filling his eyes. The stars in his eyes was for the excitement of getting even stronger, while the tears were for the pain that learning an intermediate knowledge would bring.

"Thank you master, I'll never forget your favor".

Legolas nodded calmly. "That is the end of my training for you, to get any more goodies from me," Legolas smiled. "You need to pay".

"As a member of my faction, do things to get contribution points since it is the easier way to get access to my knowledge and the things that I have".

"Word hard kid". Legolas patted him again.

"Lastly, to commemorate your graduation, you need your 2nd contracted beast since you're now qualified to enter the beast plane".

"Yes, I've been thinking of that". Christensen rubbed his blonde hair.

"Master, what type of beast do you think I should get for my 2nd contracted beast? I want your advice to choose".

Legolas smiled. "Choosing a contracted beast is always a personal decision but if you want my expert advice, I can give it".

"You already have Leo who is a powerful Frost Wolf".

"With it's strength, speed, and frost powers, Leo practically took care of most of your offensive and defensive duties already".

"I think a support beast would be better for your cause".

"Until you develop beast control that is up to my level, I don't advise getting a beast that can lead a herd yet since you won't bring out their full potential yet".

"Wait till you are ready before going for it".

"Besides, from your training, I already observed that tracking is your greatest trait. I advise that you try to improve it more to make it lethal".

"That way, you can use it to easily build a notorious reputation for yourself".

"With all these points, I think you should get a tracker dog".

"They're incredibly hard to catch but I believe you can do it".

Christensen thought for a few seconds before nodding energetically. "Ok master, a tracker dog it is then".

For the next few minutes, they spent their time admiring the island until they finally got ready to go. Christensen turned to face his master.

"Master, what will you do when I'm out?"

"I'll also go to the beast plane". Legolas sighed. "Lucky has not been back in weeks, I need to go see what happened to her, who knows if she's already dead?"

"Ahh…" Christensen jumped. "Don't say that, she's too lucky to die".

They laughed some more before they opened the rainbow bridge.

"Meet me here in 5 days". Legolas instructed Christensen before jumping into the rainbow bridge that immediately took him away.

Shockingly, the Chefron who had been watching since was curious as before Legolas could react, it jumped in also, following him to the beast plane.

Christensen scratched his head. "Uhh…, ok".

Then he also jumped inside the rainbow bridge.

Bzzz!
