Zhou Yiyi was startled by what she said, “If it’s true, then these two people are a bit scary. Let’s keep our distance in the future. It’s better to believe it’s possible than to believe it’s not. It’s dangerous now, so we need to be cautious.”

Fu Jingjing agreed, “Yeah.”

Zhou Yiyi continued, “Now that we’re missing one person here, I wonder if we can go ask Qin Jiulin if he’s willing to join us. By the way, it seems there are two people over there now?”

Just then, someone walked in from outside – Duan Qiufeng.

Fu Jingjing, displeased, asked, “Oh, who is this? What are you doing in the kitchen?”

Duan Qiufeng, somewhat annoyed by Fu Jingjing’s tone, replied, “I came to help.”

After saying that, he added, “Jinglan hasn’t been feeling well these days.”

Women naturally understood the situation, considering those days of the month, but coming from Duan Qiufeng, a man, it sounded a bit off. Fu Jingjing sneered, and even Zhou Yiyi felt a bit awkward.

However, Duan Qiufeng seemed oblivious and started doing his own thing, as if he hadn’t noticed their expressions.

Fu Jingjing and Zhou Yiyi didn’t say much. After all, tasks like cleaning the game and cutting meat were men’s work. The women were only responsible for cooking.

Moreover, there was someone helping in the kitchen today. Shortly after, Zheng Yi appeared at the kitchen door, “Oh? Duan Qiufeng, you’re here too? What are you doing in the kitchen?”

Duan Qiufeng replied, “Yes, Jinglan is not feeling well today, so I came to help her.”

Duan Qiufeng suggested, “Try calling him.”

Zheng Yi called out, “Yang Yue?”

No response. Zheng Yi found it strange and called again, “Yang Yue?!”

At this point, Duan Qiufeng also felt something was off, “Is he not here?”

Zheng Yi asked, “Zhang Liao, are you guys there?”

Zhang Liao and Zhang Wei were outside, “Yes, what’s wrong? Looking for Yang Yue? We didn’t see him on the first floor.”

Zheng Yi explained, “Please go to the second floor and check. Today, he said he would help in the kitchen with me.”

Zhang Liao agreed, “Sure, I’ll go check.”

Zhang Liao told Zhang Wei, “You check the yard outside the villa. I’ll go to the second floor.”

Zhang Wei said, “Got it, bro.”

They quickly found Yang Yue. He wasn’t inside the villa but in the yard outside, standing at the gate, doing something unknown.

Zhang Wei quickly spotted him and informed Zhang Liao, “Bro, he’s outside!”

Zhāng Liào turned and went downstairs, saying, “I came to check.”

The two brothers stood at the door, watching Yáng Yuè on the other side of the villa gate. Yáng Yuè had his back to them, unaware of their presence.

Zhāng Liào exclaimed, “Yáng Yuè?!”

No response. Zhāng Liào felt uneasy. “What’s going on? Could there be a problem?” Zhāng Wěi also looked worried.

At that moment, Dùan Qiūfēng from the kitchen appeared behind them, asking, “What are you doing? Where is he?”

Zhèng Yì also joined them. They saw Yáng Yuè standing by the yard gate, motionless and seemingly lost in thought.

Zhāng Liào said, “We don’t know what’s happening. He’s just standing there, not saying or doing anything.”

Zhèng Yì added, “It’s strange. I’ll go take a look.”

Dùan Qiūfēng firmly grabbed his shoulder, “It’s too eerie. Don’t go out. Let’s close the door, make some food in the kitchen, and wait for Lín ge and Wáng ge to handle it when they come down.”

Zhèng Yì, feeling uneasy, agreed, “Alright, let’s wait for them. We’ll close the door and prepare food.”

As they closed the door, Yáng Yuè’s figure slumped forward, but they didn’t witness it. He fell face down, blood spilling like a blossoming flower.

Soon, a strong scent of blood filled the air. Upstairs, Wáng Bómíng and Lín Yǔzé were the first to notice. They hurried out, standing on the balcony, looking down.

They saw Yáng Yuè lying dead outside, face down. Wáng Bómíng said, “What happened? So much blood. The smell is attracting animals and half-beast beings around.”

Wáng Bómíng continued, “No time to waste. Quickly get someone to clean up the body and wash away the bloodstains. This could be a big problem.”

Lín Yǔzé interjected, “Wait, we don’t know how he died. If that thing is still lurking around, approaching the body might make us its prey.”

Wáng Bómíng agreed, “True, we can’t leave the body there, but… huh?”

Lín Yǔzé followed his gaze and soon noticed Yáng Yuè’s body twitching. Stunned, they stared, realizing something was moving underneath him.

Lín Yǔzé nervously said, “It’s not Yáng Yuè moving. Something is under him. The thing that killed him might still be there. We can’t approach recklessly.”

Wáng Bómíng, startled, suggested, “What do we do? Should we change to another villa immediately? It’s not safe to get close to the body.”

Lín Yǔzé agreed, “Let’s change now. Everyone, pack up. Yáng Yuè was killed by something, and that thing might still be on him. Don’t go near. Let’s leave through the back door and find another villa.”

The sudden announcement shocked everyone. Zhèng Yì, who had considered going out earlier, was relieved that Dùan Qiūfēng had stopped him.

Wáng Bómíng instructed, “Pack up and leave now!”

Everyone panicked, quickly packing their belongings in about twenty minutes. Wáng Bómíng and Lín Yǔzé kept an eye on Yáng Yuè’s body through the window. Fortunately, the mysterious creature didn’t emerge during this time.

Once everything was packed, they slipped out through the back door, leaving the unsettling scene behind. Now, they needed to find a safe place to stay.

In the midst of the rush, Zhōu Yīyī suddenly suggested, “Why don’t we stay in the villa next to Qín Jiǔlín? It’ll be easier for everyone to look out for each other.”

Wáng Bómíng agreed, “Let’s go there!”
