Chapter 1893: Against Nature

Three days later.

Sam is hovering in the sky on harbinger as he looked at the destruction he has caused. Right now, the demon camp is being raided by the humans. But these humans are unable to find a demon that could put up a fight with them.

He crippled a lot of the demons and killed even more of them.

He looked at the wrist screen. He only needs one kill to leave this planet and move on to the next mission.

He aimed his sniper and killed a demon, before turning around and disappearing in thin air.

He reappeared at the forest where he first appeared on the planet. As he appeared there, he saw another spatial fluctuation. He was surprised by it and looked at the spot.

Dayus just appeared and he was shocked to see Sam. He immediately got into a fighting stance and his lightning energy raged.

"Hold your horses dude. I don't have any intention of kicking your ass now."

Sam said as he sent signals for all the beasts. Now that the mission is complete, it is time to leave and the beasts that were in the planets of the three races are now coming back.

"What the fuck are you doing here? What are you planning?"

Dayus asked as he looked at Sam vigilantly. Sam is confused for a second before he realized what Dayus is saying.

"You don't believe that I am waiting for you here, are you? Get over yourself dude. I am not that focused on you."

Dayus is still vigilant, he didn't want to believe Sam. But Sam just shook his head and said.

"I could kick your ass in my sleep while still dreaming about my next invention. Why would I have to lay in ambush?"

"Then why the fuck are you here? You should be in the middle of the mission."

Sam didn't answer.

With a spatial fluctuation, Yanuw appeared. He looked at Dayus and locked his aura on him.

"Okay okay, come on. Just leave him be."

Sam said with a smile and just sent him into the divine dimension.

Dayus wanted to say something, but he was interfered by the beasts coming one after another.

After everyone came back, Sam smiled and looked at Dayus.

"That's why I am here. This is my rendezvous. And if I were you, I wouldn't waste any time and get the fuck out of this place to finish the mission as soon as possible."

As he said, a light beam covered Sam and took him away from that spot. Sam grinned and showed his middle finger to Dayus before disappearing.

Then only did Dayus understand what Sam was doing there.

He finished his mission here.

He was horrified by this more than the thought of Sam ambushing him. He is already pissed that he is one of the last people to finish the first mission and proceed to the second mission. Now, Sam even managed to go to the third mission while he just got to the second.

This made him feel terrified and exasperated at the same time.

Meanwhile.

Sam appeared in an empty room. Karthikeya is standing there once again.

"You are slower than I thought."

Karthikeya greeted Sam with a smile.

"I didn't know you had such great expectations of me."

"Of course, you singlehandedly messed up the whole game. Because of you, we had to change the plan multiple times. Do you know, the game progress is almost a decade faster than the estimated time?"

"I guess I am doing quite well then."

"Anyway, great job with the second mission. You completed it flawlessly. I don't have anything to say about that. But may I ask? Why did you collect so many corpses of these three species?

I know you like researching and stuff, by why do you need so many of those corpses? It goes way beyond what is required for research."

Sam didn't speak for a moment and just looked at Karthikeya.

"It is fine if you don't want to tell me, I was just curious that is all."

"It is hard to explain. I think it will be better for you to witness what I am going to do with them after a while. It would be a pleasant surprise to everyone that is in the know of the situation."

"Looking forward to it. Now, shall we talk about your reward for finishing first again before talking about the third mission."

"That would be great. What is the reward?"

"You can decide what it is. Just ask me what you want, as long as its worth doesn't exceed my expectations, I will give it to you."

"Good to know. I would like Elemental hearts."

Karthikeya was stumped.

"You really are full of surprises aren't you? You already have five elemental hearts. Those things were not even meant to be related to your mission, but you still extracted them anyway, now you are asking for more?"

"I have more than five beasts. I need one for each of them."

Karthikeya thought for a moment and said.

"I can give you elemental hearts, but not many. The reward can only afford you two of them. If you want them, then they are yours."

"That is fine. I will gladly accept."

"Then, on to your third mission. This time, you wouldn't have a significant advantage compared to the rest of the participants even though you came first.

Because the mission for the third mission is same for everyone of the players. And accordingly the mission would be impossible to complete with perfection. So, your rewards will be multiplied based on the ranking you achieved in the second mission.

You are the first of the seven people.

So, your reward from the third mission will be multiplied by seven times. That is the benefit you get for your third mission."

Karthikeya paused just in case Sam had any questions, but he didn't. So, he continued.

"As for the third mission, it wouldn't be war within a planet, nor would it be a war between different planets, it is also not a war within realms, which it should have originally been.

But rather, it is war with the nature."

Sam was stunned.

"War with nature?"

"It is not completely nature perse, but rather it is against the gods.

You will be sent to a planet where people are going to be judged by gods and face their wrath. There are seven planets and each planet will be handled by different group of gods.

And these gods will create ten disasters to the people in that planet using the forces of nature. A lot of people are going to die and your job is to interfere in it and try your best to save as many people as you can."

Sam's mouth was wide open.

"You are not kidding me right? You want me to battle against the forces of nature? And how would I even know what kind of disasters will strike when?

This is going to be a very tough challenge."

Sam said as he went into a deep thought. His brain is operating at a terrifyingly high speed as he got a grip on himself.

"Don't think too much. Of course, since you are fighting the natural forces as your enemies, we have to give at least some information.

So, you will get the information on where the disaster will strike and when it will strike. But you wouldn't get the information on what the disaster will be.

You have to fight against it. Of course, you wouldn't be able to succeed a hundred percent as the disaster area and size itself would be very broad. After the ten disasters are over, your mission will be finished."

After explaining a few minor details, Sam was transported to the next location.

He appeared within a ruined temple.

He looked at Karthikeya's statue once again. This one is a bit tattered and ragged. It is standing the test of time and has worn out a lot compared to the previous two.

He came out of the temple and all he could see is an old city was in complete ruins. Unlike before, it seems like the temple is not some hidden one. Here it is right in the middle of the city but the only thing is the city is destroyed.

Sam took off on the harbinger as he tried to get out of this place.

He already got a vision of where the first disaster is going to be.

He didn't find any obstacles and reached the destination in a short while.

It is a very well built city and it has a lot of trade going on. As soon as Sam arrived there, he could almost guess, what the disaster is going to be related to.

Because the city is on a sea shore. The beach is practically connected to the city without any walls or barricades.

Sam sighed as he looked at this before flying towards the city.
