Chapter 1797 - 1797 Arrival

1797 Arrival

Shijin couldn’t breathe.

But when he looked at Sam’s eyes, he understood that he is talking to a very different person. The Sam he met previously is just a character being played. Right now, Sam is different. He is unfathomably angry.

Shijin nodded his head in fear.

He looked at Sam and was about to ask him something, but that gaze made him stop.

“I want to find out about the location of the few people. They are all linked to the war that is going on right now and their presence would be new. It has only been three days since they arrived, but they are all gaining decent pull within this war.

Here are their names.

Tap into all of your information networks. I don’t care what you have to do. You have forty minutes exactly. Contact everyone you need to and get me the information. For every minute you delay the result, I will torture you for a minute.

And trust me, my torture will make a minute feel like an hour if not a day.

So be prepared.

.....

Shijin looked at Sam’s face and he knew that he isn’t messing around. He didn’t even bother to nod in reply and sprung to action.

Sam sat down crosslegged and started taking deep breaths as he meditated.

He is trying his best to calm down.

This is the first he has been this anxious in years. For forty minutes he sat there with dozens of thoughts going through his mind.

Soon Shijin came back running with the details Sam needed.

Sam help the paper in his hand and went out of the hideout. He didn’t even care about Shijin anymore. He took out his harbinger and once again started moving at maximum speed. Leaving behind a large gash in the earth.

His presence is loud and flashy and once again he moved in a straight line. He didn’t care if he crossed over the forests or lakes or if he has to blow through the mountains. Whatever came in his way was destroyed and he only had his destination in his mind.

Meanwhile.

Dayus is currently in a bind. The clan that he was placed is, definitely not a great clan to be in at the moment. They are not the believers of Olympus that Dayus always spent time with in every competition.

Instead, these people are hardheaded fools who only understand brute force.

He is with a bunch of muscle heads, unable to convince them to take his approach. And of course, his gigantic ego has a play in this whole scenario of course.

But right now, he is in a situation where he couldn’t change it in his favor, even if he put his ego aside.

Because he got a message that the three clans joined forces are going to make a final move. They took some random excuse and the war that has been secretly going on, now became completely direct and out in the open.

Dayus knows very well what Arkiv is capable of. Even if the clans were not really in his favor, he would at least have had some loyal subordinates because of Zeus’ recommendations. He doesn’t even have that now and he is feeling useless.

Meanwhile, Arkiv is getting popular by killing the members of the clan he is supporting, in fact, Arkiv’s sole presence catalyzed the whole war and the three joint forces are now attacking in the open.

There could be an attack at any given moment.

Right now, his suggestion is to let the child and his father escape. He didn’t care about the honor of the clan and he definitely didn’t care if all of them are willing to die protecting their home. For him to finish this task with flying colors, he needs the child to be safe with his father’s family.

But no matter what he tried, he was unable to convince the stupid father to make a move.

And right now, he is in the middle of another futile attempt.

“Why are you not listening to me? From your sources, the attack could arrive in just two hours. The three clans are not messing around. Why are you so stubborn? This kid’s presence might make your clan reach new heights in the future. But for that the kid has to be alive and the kid has to know that this clan is their home.

You need to survive.”

The young master looked at Dayus coldly.

Dayus didn’t even know what to say when he looked at that stare.

“You see Dayus, I have been wondering. Since you came here, you have been constantly talking about saving the kid, protecting the kid, and all of that.

You even said that as long as you are not here, the kid will be taken away by someone.

But you are here and still, someone is coming to take the kid away.

And when shit went sideways, your plan of action is to escape this place. Why should I not assume that you are trying to separate the kid from the clan grounds to take advantage of this chaos and trying to take the kid away by yourselves?

After all, I am way weaker than you. There is no denying that.

I don’t know where you came from. I don’t know what your motive is. Do you really think, I will just blindly trust and follow all of your ideas? Do I look like an idiot to you?”

The young master left the room to prepare for war.

Dayus didn’t even know what to say. After all, he is not really a friend of rational thinking. He is an obnoxious entitled brat after all.

He just believed that the young master should trust his words. What’s with trust and all that other nonsense?

He sighed and then muttered.

“It is good that Sam is not the one opposite to me. If he is, then I would be in much bigger trouble than I already have.

From the info we got, he just dealt with the Magman clan. So, he is still a bit far away. There are a bunch of other clans in between.

But still, that bastard wants to fish in muddy waters. Before he makes his presence known in this place, I might as well kidnap the father and the child from here.”

He thought out loud and even got ready to carry out his plan. But at that exact moment, something happened.

Some guards ran over and gave some news to him.

“Something is coming from the west. We don’t really know what exactly is coming, but it is cutting through the forest and destroying everything in its path. It is coming towards city at an unfathomable speed.”
