Chapter 193 Little Mandron Soldier 16

Before He Yuan could speak, a servant walked in through the door holding a large envelope. Her eyes darted to He Yuan with a barely hidden frown before turning to Yang Zhi. "Master Yang. This was just delivered a while ago."

The eyes of every other person in the room turned to the envelope at the same time. Yang Zhi extended his hand to take the envelope and calmly opened it. Then he was stunned. Inside the envelope was an automated invite to Ding Weimin's and Jin Qi's engagement party for the entire Yang family.

There was no indication of the sender. All that was within was the invite and nothing else. He frowned at the servant. "Who sent this?"

The chubby woman spread her arms open. "I have no idea. The envelope was slipped in from the other side of the gate through the delivery capsule." She looked at He Yuan with blame. "Although I was right on the inside, it was hard to tell who had done it as there are tons of reporters outside the gate."

The gears in Yang Zhi's head turned. After close examination and a quick scan of the invitation barcode, he was very sure that it was authentic. What did this mean?

"Father?"

Yang Xiang's call finally snapped Yang Zhi out of his thoughts. He remained silent for a while more before nudging his head in He Yuan's direction. "Yang Xue, come with me." Then he turned and walked towards his study.

He Yuan raised a brow. He normally wouldn't bother with Yang Zhi but his curiosity was piqued. What was in that envelope? His eyes moved over to the servant woman and he automatically returned her glare, causing her to flinch in shock. Next he looked over to 888, who quickly dematerialized, before following after Yang Zhi.

Yang Teng and his sisters were left behind to stare at each other in confusion.

In the study, Yang Zhi watched with his fists closed on each other as his mandron son walked in. He'd thought it over and decided the Dings must have sent the invite. Inviting the Yangs to the engagement party could be seen by the general public as them being magnanimous even after Yang Xue had shamelessly 'seduced' the General.

Although this action was just for show, this was an opportunity he could not afford to miss!

His plan was to prove that Yang Xue and the General had indeed been together. Now it was impossible to get past evidence but... It wasn't so hard to create a new one.

As long as Yang Xue cooperated with him then everything would be solved. Even if the Ding family ended up finding out that everything was his own orchestration, it would be too late by then to act against him as the 'truth' would be out in the open.

He cleared his throat and motioned towards the seat in front of him. His eyes blazed when He Yuan remained standing but he continued anyways. "In the envelope is an invite to the General's engagement party from the Ding family."

He Yuan frowned. That didn't make any sense. Seeing that Yang Zhi seemed to be eagerly expecting some sort of reaction from him, he cocked his head slightly and asked, "...So?"

Yang Zhi clenched his teeth. It was the misfortune of several lifetimes for one to encounter a pig teammate. It was the misfortune of both a one's past and future lifetimes if said pig teammate was his child! He took a deep breath as he enunciated, "I have already promised that I would get you and the general back together.

-Right now, an opportunity has presented itself and I want you to do exactly as I say." He drummed his fingers against the table. "The engagement party would take place in the biggest hotel on Earth. All I need you to do is wait in a room I would arrange for you and Ding Weimin would come to you."

There was no way the General would be able to resist. He just had to make Yang Xue appear as pitiful and enchanting as possible. Yang Zhi's eyes trailed to He Yuan's legs. It was too bad Yang Xue had already gone through with rehabilitation... But there were other ways. The more he thought, the more satisfied he became.

He Yuan, on the other hand, eyed Yang Zhi strangely. Was this man a fool? He didn't need a seer to know with certainty that the invite did not come from the Dings. Why would the Dings send an engagement party invite to the person who they claimed had shamelessly tried to seduce Ding Weimin to the point of harassment? Besides... "Did I say I want to get back together with General Ding?"

Yang Zhi froze and his face turned cold. "What do you mean?"

He Yuan waved. "I don't want General Ding and I'm not attending the engagement party." Why would he, in all consciousness, brazenly walk into a situation that seemed like a trap?

Yang Zhi stood up fiercely. "Are you an idiot? Do you dare to defy my words? If I say you will go then you will go! And you will do all that I have asked you to!"

'...' As opposed to Yang Zhi's agitated state, He Yuan was much calmer when he said, "No." And then he directly walked out.

Yang Zhi watched Yang Xue walk out with wide eyes before tightening his fists. "YANG XUE!" His chest heaved as he fumed.

What was going on? Did he misunderstand something? His informant had clearly said Yang Xue and the general had been in a secret relationship. He'd already done so much. Would everything go to waste now?

How about when the Dings figure it out, what would become of him then?

------------------------------------

Later that night, Yang Zhi called Yang Liu into his study. Looking at his eldest child, he asked carefully, "A'Liu... What do you think of General Ding?"

Yang Liu's brows furrowed at the odd question. "He's an outstanding individual and a valiant soldier."

Yang Zhi nodded. He'd gone over earlier to talk sense into Yang Xue but the useless mandron had locked himself in. Even after all his threats, the heartless fool refused to budge! With just three days to the engagement party, he decided to come up with a new plan.

An even better one.Yang Xue might be a mandron but he was a little difficult to control. There was no telling what the mandron would do in the future. It was even possible for Yang Xue to turn against him in the end.

Ratherthan that, was Yang Liu not a better option? Although she was much older than the General, there was no one more fitting. Yang Xiang had her eyes set on Jin Yusheng and Yang Liqin was young but too rash so he couldn't use her.

YangLiu was the only option available and If she manages to get pregnant with the General's child, who would care about the fact that she was much older? Who would dare act against her and, by extension, the Yang family?

The main issue here, however, was the fact that General Ding had no feelings for her. His first plan had been dependent on General Ding's feelings for Yang Xue but now he would have to up his game a bit. There was an especially powerful drug floating around the black market. It wouldn't be too difficult to get his hands on the drug.

Late into the night, Yang Liu walked out of her father's study with a joyful yet complicated expression on her face.
