Chapter 189 Little Mandron Soldier 12

A month and two weeks later, He Yuan entered his rehabilitation phase. Due to the fact that his recovery period showed that there was a high attachment rate between Yang Xue's body and the prosthetic limb, the rehabilitation period was scheduled to take a total of two to three months.

The first month was focused on aligning the synapses in his brain with the nerve endings on the prosthetic limb to allow for easy operation with a single thought. With the success of that training, he was able to move about for increasingly longer periods without the aid of a wheelchair.

Before coming to this minor Planet, He Yuan had denied any form of call access to those from Earth so Yang Zhi had settled for repeatedly sending messages featuring coaxing words as well as threats to the hospital, trying to get them to transfer Yang Xue to Earth.

It got so bad that the hospital had to threaten the man with a lawsuit before he behaved himself. He Yuan was, of course, aware of all these but he pushed everything concerning the Yangs to the back of his mind.

On the other hand, the magnetic energy specialist had been visiting every two weeks to collect blood samples from He Yuan in order to extract the magnetic energy of the first Xor queen.

The specialist -who went by Dr. Yi- had figured out Yang Xue's identity by now and didn't need a soothsayer to know that contrary to the insinuations the Dings had led everyone to assume, General Ding did not actually get rid of the magnetic energy based on his own abilities and perseverance alone.

Another thing that confused Dr. Yi was the fact that his patient seemed to have the magnetic energy of the second Xor queen too. A being that had been reportedly killed by General Ding 'singlehandedly'.

If Mr. Yang had absorbed it from the general then that was a different issue but in reality, there was no news of General Ding entering a volatile state like the first time and the magnetic energy of the second Xor queen seemed to be much more richer and purer than the first in his patient's blood. This meant that...He shuddered.

He felt like he'd unknowingly touched upon a tightly wrapped secret within the army. At this point, all he wondered was if any of General Ding's numerous achievements were even based on his own merits.

In the end, Dr. Yi pulled himself out of his stray thoughts and focused on his task. He had no idea the exact reason his patient needed the vial of condensed energy and he honestly did not plan to interfere as long as he got a sample to himself in the end.

His findings for the past month was absolutely spectacular. Mr. Yang might not be aware but the magnetic energy had somehow increased his vitality by five fold. He crosschecked all the medical records he'd obtained and he was certain that the amount of blood that Mr. Yang had lost when he lost his limbs was enough to kill him three times but the mandron had managed to hold on till he the paramedics found him.

Quite remarkable.

He planned to find out if the benefits Yang Xue had obtained from the magnetic energy could also be obtained by others if he figured out a way to integrate it in the body of a different person. If this turned out to be successful then... He trembled in excitement.

His future would be boundless!

Time flew by rapidly and He Yuan placed all his focus on fully recovering. By the time he knew it, the beginning of the third month finally arrived and he'd gained full control and mastery of the prosthetic limb.

This development automatically meant that he'd spent a total of three months and some weeks on the minor Planet and was finally fit enough to discharge from the hospital and return to Earth.

As soon as the discharge procedures were completed, He Yuan headed straight to the spaceship dock.Contrary to when he arrived at the minor Planet, he'd discarded the wheelchair and instead possessed an extra, smaller, suitcase which contained all the ingredients he'd purchased for a human skin mask and a carefully packaged vial of condensed magnetic energy.

888 chuckled as he watched his host carefully weave through the crowd of people at the dock but said nothing about it. He knew clearly how important the vail of magnetic energy was and if a mistake caused it to spill, that would be months of hard work gone down the drain.

Once He Yuan was fully checked in, he laid back against his seat and let out a sigh of relief. His luggage had been placed in a "fullproof and technologically advanced' storage. Hopefully, it was as fullproof as they claimed.

The amount of magnetic energy in the small suitcase was just enough to reach the height of half of an adult's pinky finger. It was quite small. Too small in fact so he could not afford to have the vial compromised. He didn't have another three plus months to waste.

Next, He Yuan moved his attention to Yang Xue's bracelet. There were a total of 50k credits left. It should be enough for any emergency. He didn't feel too hard pressed about money because he knew for a fact that the reparations Yang Xue would receive once his merits were recognized would be more than enough.

After making sure everything was in place, he lifted the communication ban he'd placed against Earth. Immediately,

DING!

DING!

DING!

Although He Yuan quickly placed the bracelet on mute, he still received a few dissatisfied frowns from other patrons who were yet to put on their entertainment casques. He held up a hand at them apologetically and then turned his attention back to the bracelet.

For the next two minutes, Yang Xue's bracelet vibrated violently before abruptly coming to a stop. He Yuan's lips twitched when he saw what all the fuss was about. There were tons of holographic projections that dated back to a week after he left Earth over three months ago.

The majority of them were from Yang Zhi. He Yuan wasted no time in clearing out all of the man's message. There was no use going over them if he was just going to get to Earth and face him directly.

With that out of the way, an interesting piece of news caught He Yuan's attention. It was at the number one spot of trending issues.

#Interstellar Hero, General Ding, And The Amazingly Talented Goddess, Lieutenant Jin, To Get Engaged On The Third Of The Seventh Month, Year 11099.

He raised a brow. That was next week. Thinking about it, that was also the period Yang Xue had commited suicide in the original timeline. His eyes moved to the comment section.

[[#BingBong: Hold up. This was the reason our workaholic general finally took a vacation?! This single dog is crying a river of tears.

#Ankisha: It's not fair. Us andronians never stood a chance in the first place. Damned genetics!

#laoSu: Upstairs I feel for you but even as a human I didn't stand a chance either. T...T

#ThatPeculiarSloth: AAAAAAHHH, I've been betrayed by my one true love. How could you do this to me General Ding?!

#XinSuile: Queen Jin ah, why couldn't you wait a little longer for me?

#Zaylaya: As much as it hurts me to say this.... They're both so exceptional and deserve each other. *biting my fist to hold back my tears*

#DuoGai: Giving them my blessing.

#Faquard: Giving them my blessing +1

#Jaja: Giving them my blessing +2.....]]

He Yuan finally looked away from the bracelet and stared outside the spaceship as he silently plotted in his mind.

There were different stars, rocks and debris but everything either stood absolutely still or rotated quietly on its own axis. Bluish-purple darkness was all his eyes could see and this made him to suddenly feel so small.

Three days later, the spaceship finally arrived at the dock on Earth.
