Chapter 149 I Became The Top Cultivator With My Harem Of Beauties Beside Me 22

He Yuan's expression morphed into one of mock confusion. "You can't possibly be referring to the core of that beast you had defeated right?" Mo Jiu's expression faltered and He Yuan hardened his. "Mo Jiu have you gone insane?

-I had encountered a plant based beast back in the Spirit beast forest and had been beaten into unconsciousness, how could I know anything about the beast core? Even if I did, how would I have been able to hide it?"

Mo Jiu slowly reduced the pressure of his sword as he deliberated. Could Mo Sheng be telling the truth? After all, he eyed He Yuan, Mo Sheng was such a waste, how would he have been able to absorb such a beast core? In fact, how would he have been able to sneak attack him, Mo Jiu. That was impossible.

He Yuan saw Mo Jiu's expression crumble and then he smirked. "Mo Jiu, I had heard that the beast core had caused the blast but based on your words, it seems to be untrue. That beast is so powerful and could be used to extend the life of one of the dying secret dimensions.

-Such a discovery should be immediately reported to the Bureau of Righteous Cultivators. If the beast core is intact, this information should be reported to the BRC."

"No!" Mo Jiu said sharply and then he cleared his throat and sheathed Huoyan. "The core was indeed destroyed. I was just making sure there was no foul play."

He Yuan raised a brow. "How could there be foul play? Weren't you the only one in the barrier?" He narrowed his eyes. "Mo Jiu, are you hiding something? Remember such a valuable thing like a ten-thousand-year-old beast core should not be owned by just one person alone.

-Tell me what you know, master is currently in seclusion and it's just us two disciples left. I'm your daxiong after all, I might be able to help."

Mo Jiu grit his teeth and glared at He Yuan. What was this waste being so nosy for? Mo Sheng was always acting like he had all the integrity in the world. What a fool. "Mind your own business!" He said angrily and walked off.

He Yuan watched Mo Jiu walk off and scoffed. He could understand why Mo Jiu was cautious. The Bureau of Righteous Cultivators was made up of sect masters of every sect in the righteous faction, some powerful rogue cultivators and heads of the most prominent cultivation clans.

All of them were greedy bastards who stole from others using the cover of righteousness and togetherness. They would literally make up any reason in order to successfully lay claim to a cultivator's precious possession. Their number one reason was always, 'For the benefit of the righteous faction.'

After that day, things became quiet on He Yuan's end once more. Every morning, he went over to the Martial arts peak to practice the Duoluo sect moves with the other disciples. After which he went to the inner disciples' resident peak to grab food for himself.

He never made the mistake of stealing Mo Jiu's food every again. He spent the rest of his days cultivating, this was to temper his body so when the seal was removed, Mo Sheng's body would naturally adapt to the level that had been missed out on all these years.

Occasionally, he ran into Gu Long but all he did was nod at the young man who only nodded back. Whether Mo Sheng was in love with the man or not, that was Mo Sheng's business and the leaser could solve that for himself when he returned. He was He Yuan, not cupid.

He Yuan also ran into Mo Jiu, something that couldn't be helped seeing as they shared a resident peak, but he made sure to avoid the special one. It was quire easy as two weeks after the Spirit beast hunt, Mo Jiu gave up on his search for the beast core and decided to go back to being his usual self important self and adding members into his ever growing harem.

The Converging peak now had a courtyard prepared for the ones that decided to move in. He Yuan had no idea how elder Mo would feel about his private peak being turned to a mansion in an ancient era filled with wives and concubines.

The extra barrier was easily bypassed as elder Mo made it so that Mo Sheng and Mo Jiu were exempt from its restrictions. All Mo Jiu had to do was lead his lovers in and all was good. They were about five of the harem members and unsurprisingly, they were all living in harmony -whether fake or not, no one knew.

With a little sprinkle of drama here and there, an entire year passed and it was time for elder Mo to come out of seclusion. He Yuan could barely contain his excitement. He had been curious about the full extent of the fourth set of moves and he needed to be able to cultivate to know it.

On a rainy night, He Yuan was cultivating in the lotus position, when he felt the extra barrier surrounding the Converging peak dissolve. He made sure to pull through the complete round before opening his eyes. Elder Mo was out of seclusion.

He was a bit confused as it was a bit later than the storyline but he didn't let it bother him too much. Whatever would happen, should happen. He only needed to focus on his task.

He Yuan adjusted his position and prepared to sleep off. There was no need rushing over now, elder Mo needed adjustment time and Mo Sheng was reserved and was not supposed to be aware of the fact that he'd found a demonic method so going over there would look suspicious.

The next morning, He Yuan headed over to the Martial arts peak as usual. When he returned, elder Mo was right in front of Mo Sheng's courtyard, staring into space.

"Master!" He Yuan called out and cupped his fists in front of him.

"Silly kid." Elder Mo returned with a smile and then he pulled He Yuan forward with one hand and placed a hand on his chest. His eyes widened in surprise. "Just what have you been up to?" His disciple's body was incredibly strengthened even if he had no cultivation.

His meridians too were larger than normal, allowing for qi to move in and out of his body with so much ease. This was a prime body for cultivation! Just how did his disciple achieve this? His smile suddenly increased as he looked He Yuan over.

"This was the enlightenment you were referring to?" He Yuan just scratched his nose and nodded as elder Mo's smile increased. "Good. Good." And then he turned away. "Come with me."

He Yuan silently followed after. Soon, the both of them arrived at elder Mo's courtyard. They kept on walking until elder Mo led He Yuan to a secluded area located beneath one of the rooms.

The entire place had huge high grade spirit stones embedded in the walls and a bunch of runes plastered all over. The qi in here was so rich and pure He Yuan was practically inhaling it like a drug addict.

Elder Mo cleared his throat to gain He Yuan's attention and then pointed at an elevated platform in the middle of the room. "Make your upper body bare and position yourself."

He Yuan quickly stripped out of his clothes, leaving only his pants on and then he climbed onto the small platform and sat in a lotus position.

Elder Mo went about the room, drawing layers upon layers of formations and then locking them with a really powerful barrier. At the end of his exercise, the amount of qi in the room increased ten fold.

Next, he hopped on the platform too and positioned himself right behind He Yuan. "Here." He Yuan was presented with a dagger covered in runes and a small bowl. "Cut open your palm and fill the bowl with your blood."

Demonic blood was needed to undo the seal and since there was nowhere else to get it, as the fight between both factions had come to an end, Mo Sheng's hybrid blood would have to do.

He Yuan took both objects and did as instructed before handing them back to elder Mo. He was a little nervous but decided to trust in the process as nothing had gone wrong in this part of the storyline.

Elder Mo used the blood to draw various formations on He Yuan's back and after he was done, the process began. He imbibed a large amount of qi into his body and using the drawn formation as a channel, he transferred the qi directly to the seal blocking Mo Sheng's dabtian sea.

He Yuan felt as though his veins were being filled up with molten lava. It was so hot and painful. He lasted an entire ten seconds before passing out in the same position.

Throughout the seal breakage, He Yuan drifted in and out of consciousness but elder Mo persevered. Whenever He Yuan was awake, he tried his best to draw qi into his body and soon enough, whenever he lost consciousness, his body subconsciously absorbed qi.

The process was slow and painful but as time passed, cracks began to form in the seal and Mo Sheng's dantian opened up and began to absorb qi.

It took an entire month for the seal to break completely and a blast of qi tore through He Yuan's body.
