"You die ... this is nothing new ..."

Marix paused.

She avoided eye contact with Lucas and turned towards the door that was about to open.

*creak* *creak

A sharp sound was heard as someone entered the room.

A tall man with a smock over his face stood behind Renexa without making a sound or moving. He didn't look like he was afraid, but the bird in front of him had huge wings to make everyone tremble.

"Oh, he's already here, let's pack everything up for today, we'll help you control him tomorrow." Marix clapped his hands once.

'Why is this guy wearing scrubs too?' Lucas raised an eyebrow suspiciously.

"You're letting Renexa rest." Marix looked at Lucas and let him finish what they were doing.

"Ho-how am I supposed to do that?" Lucas scratched his head.

"Just tell this bird to go away, that should work."

"Just tell it to go away? It's that simple, okay." He said nothing in reply.

Lucas turned to Renexa and spoke, "You can go now." Renexa lifted her fingers and retracted them, nodded her head and disappeared into the thin air.

"That was quick."

When the bird had disappeared, Lucas could see the person who'd just entered the room a little better.

The man had a dark smock on his head and you could see his long red hair sticking out of his head.

"Lexi, help Lucas find his chambers so he can rest for tonight." Marix addressed him directly.

"Understood. The man spoke in a low voice."

Judging by his size, Lucas thought it was another elf, as they were all tall and somewhat muscular here.

"Would you please follow me?" His tone sounded pleasant, perhaps even a little friendly.

"What about Kali?" Lucas interrupted him.

"She'll be taken care of, nothing to worry about, you might see her tomorrow." She replied.

Lucas was too tired to read between the lines and decided to follow this man, "see you later then." He gave her one more look before leaving that white room.

"Yeah, see you later." She didn't even look at him at that moment.

As they left the white room, Lucas followed the man through a magnificent and luxurious-looking hallway.

This consisted of golden walls that looked as if they'd suppress sounds and white marble floors that might be too expensive in his world.

One thing, however, was a little scary to him: where was he leading him? The further they walked, the more he realised that this place was getting darker and darker.

"Excuse me, but where are you taking me?" Lucas decided to ask out of curiosity

No answer came, and the two walked again in an awkward silence.

'I'm familiar with that feeling, he's like Haya.' Lucas muttered in his head.

They reached the stairs that led them into the dungeon and looked around. "Where are we going?" Lucas asked him one more time.

"To your chambers." He answered him in a friendly tone.

It was suspicious, but at that moment he could do nothing but follow him.

The man began to walk down the stairs and Lucas followed him.

The stairs, old and wet, looked slippery, including the water falling from the ceiling. The smell of a dead, rotten cat drifted up Lucas' nose, and he held it shut with his hand.

It took less than a minute for them to reach a place that looked like a dungeon.

There were several cells that looked dirty, and dark shadows haunted Lucas' body. Fiery straws were scattered on the floor, chains were attached to the walls.

Running rats squealed and scurried in search of food.

A strange moan coming from the back of the room began to awaken Lucas's unease. Soemone was banging iron bars with rattling chains.

The further one walked, the more one could smell faeces and urine, 'this is disgusting' Lucas frowned, 'where's he taking me?' He wondered why he was accompanying him to a strange place.

The rotting mould and cold stones were just one of the few smells that disturbed Lucas' senses. The ones from earlier were already blocking his ability to breathe properly, 'I hope Kali is really okay.'

One thing that quickly occurred to Lucas was why the system hadn't shown up yet, he wondered why it had sent him here in the first place?

"Here, this is where you'll be housed." The man spoke, distracting Lucas from his inner thoughts.

When Lucas leaned to the side to see what kind of place it was, he was surprised. He pulled his shoulders and head back and raised an eyebrow, "What's this?" He asked the man with the red hair.

"You'll stay here tonight until we decide there's no more danger to the city." He answered slowly.

There was no arrogance in his tone, but it still sounded insulting to Lucas, 'am I that much of a threat to everyone?' He shook his head and went into a cell that was quite different from the others in this dungeon.

It had light blue walls and a black marble floor. The bed in front of him looked as if it was meant for only one person. The small, white washbasin was connected to the wall and above it was a mirror where one could check one's face every day.

The only thing that bothered him were the black, iron bars that made him feel like he was in prison.

"Is this really necessary?" He was grateful to have the most luxurious cell, but the bars made him feel like a real prisoner.

"It's to protect you from yourself." Retorted the man again.

"I see..." He slowly walked into his cell and sat down on a bed, it felt soft and comfortable, "well, maybe this isn't so bad to get some sleep after all the travelling here." He patted the white bed sheet and bent down.

He turned to the bright wall, which was made of polished bricks, and noticed a name scratched on it. He moved closer and saw a written something, *Izek* was drawn on the wall.

Lucas' eyes darted from left to right, suddenly he stood up and looked at the man who was locking his cell up as if with a spell, "Wait, don't go!" There's Izek's name on the wall!" He shouted as he tried to reach the grille.

"We know you can't escape now."
