Chapter 122 122:Deadly Crisis[IV]

All the hairs on Leon's body stood erect as a shiver crept down his spine, giving him chills.

He was just a step away from ending her life or so as no one knew what trick might she have up her sleeve but his whole body froze as if an invisible force had gripped him.

Sword cuts danced in the air that cut his ghosts apart who were about to stab Seraphina.

'What is this shit now? This is some ultra-plus level bullshit.'

The ghosts around vanished, leaving Leon who stood there like a statue allowing Seraphina to break free but she hardly had taken a step, when something rained down from the sky.

BOOM!

She jumped as a blackish rod hit the place where she stood but on moving back, her body trembled as another one fell from behind.

Within a period, she dodged sideways but to her horror, another one struck there, and at the very next instant she was obstructed all around by rods forming a circular cage.

She jumped up but an electric pulse emerged above forming a roof.

In a fit of anger, she extended her hand and slashed at the dark rods, but the moment she touched it...

"ARGHHHHHHH!"

A scream of despair and pain erupted from her lips that almost shook her entire soul. The skin on her palms burned and it wasn't regenerating.

"What?"She spat in bewilderment and her voice filled with disbelief echoed in the place.

A bright light erupted from the rods, casting an illuminating glow on her body and making her shriek more violently as if electric pulses were being shot into her body.

"Little boy!"Seraphina's eyes darted toward the bewildered Leon.

"Boy save me...Believe me, I meant no harm. I genuinely lo...AAAAAHHH!"

A terrifying beam assaulted her as the rod surged with mystical energy and shone brightly.

"You did well."

Leon, who had a surprised expression, snapped his head to the right. His heart almost came to his throat seeing an old man standing beside him while caressing his gray beard.

"Just what the fuck is going on today? Everyone seems to be coming out from everywhere to anywhere."

"You don't hold back your words do you?"

"No, I don't."

Leon shouted while observing beads of information on the old man's head.

"In space beyond the Dimensional crack, we are weakest of all. Nothing but a group of fodder before the vast number of almighty species. Whether it's strength, intelligence, technology, power, army, or number of soldiers, we are outclassed in every way."

"So, how do you think we have managed to guard through that place till now and defend it till now providing peaceful sleep to everyone...Tell me how?"

"I...I don't know."Leon, biting his lips, answered with a sigh. He already had certain assumptions but he refrained from saying something he guessed.

Since he had never been to that place in person, he had no right to comment or tone down other achievements.

"It's through trickery, plotting, secrecy, and sometimes through sheer carnage, that we managed to survive till now. She holds a great weight and a chance to turn things around, bringing us a great opportunity."

"Did you know about her identity?"Leon asked instead of stepping back.

"No, I didn't know but I identified her easily because I have seen her leading troops,'' Herman spoke with a hint of nostalgia.

'He is familiar with her.'Leon muttered, noticing that odd look from his eyes.

Leon clenched his fist and closed his eyes.

Countless strange murmurs and voices of grievances poured into his ears.

He knew it was an illusion and his madness was flaring up imagining the innocent death.

"Is she that important?"

"If we kill her, the entire Vampire army will attack us and we can't engage in a war with them," Herman answered with a sigh as he looked at those fiercely burning eyes of a young man.

'Even with so much experience, I had never seen such resentment and brutality in someone's eyes.'

Herman may look standing casually with hands behind his back, but the young man's cold eyes gave him an uncanny expression.

Something eerie crawled on his back and a certain ominousness stirred his heart.

Clenching his fist tightly,Leon turned back and walked toward the place where Feng Ruoxi lay but he halted a bit and spoke without looking back.

"What do I have to do if I want to kill her someday?"

Herman glanced at the back of the young man described by his friend and couldn't help but smile.

"The day when you are strong enough to make the creatures of the Dimensional Zone afraid.Strong enough so that even the World Leaders of World and Federations couldn't defy your words. And strong enough to make Vampires tremble...."Herman paused and looked up at the brightly shining moon emerging from the clouds.

"That's the day you can do what you want and kill her."

Leon gave Herman a sidelong glance filled with an irrefutable resolve and raised his sword.

"Remember that. Cause, I am exactly going to do that."

"And I swear that."
