Chapter 44 - 42.Black Panther

A dark silhouette jump toward Albert's wheelchair caught the party unprepared.

Albert fell from his chair due to the momentum of something crashing to his chair. The party turns to Albert and start rushing to his aid. Albert loss a bit of his HP due to the fall but he receives no other damage making the whole party confused.

Fortunately, Luna is on full alert and manages to foil the black panther ambush by jumping the black panther aiming for its neck. Sensing danger the panther retreat 2 steps back avoiding the white snake fang back into the dark of the night.

"What happen??!!" Alice ask her brother worriedly

"Monster!!! Some kind of panther!!! It has a dark color and it can blend himself with the night! Watch your back!" Albert warns the other party member as he pulls his zither out of his inventory and ready to fight.

SWOOSH

The panther launches its second ambush this time toward Alice. Alice fell on to the ground with the panther on top of her biting her arms.

"Aaaaah!" Alice shriek in surprise as the pain comes from her hand.

"ALICE!!!" Kana, Albert, and James shout worriedly as Kana cast a healing spell on Alice immediately.

Luckily for Alice, she already on standby due to the first ambush and already execute her jade hand skill; Reducing the damage she receives to her hand and because of her skill the panther teeth only manage to make 2 small incision and did not fully penetrate her hand.

James took the chance and launch his shield charge to the black panther. James charge successfully knock the panther 2 meters away from Alice and gave her enough room to recover and fight again.

"James! The panther damage is seriously high! Don't try to tank it by yourself!" Albert shout warns James as he saw that 1 attack manage to cut 10% of Alice's HP.

James's pitifull 55 HP would instantly disappear if the panther manages to land 1 big hit to his undefended body forcing him to log out and wait for 3 days before he can go back in.

Recognizing the danger James send BONE-VOYAGE to the front to be the main tank and help him to block the panther whenever it was possible for him. Albert did not have enough time to sit back on his wheelchair so he decides to play his zither sitting on the ground.

As the zither starts humming, Luna jumps toward the panther aiming at one of its legs while the panther is pincered by 3 people formation. BONE-VOYAGE on the front, James next to the skeleton and Alice behind the panther.

Hunting a carnivore monster is much more difficult compared to the herbivore the party used to hunt during the day. All carnivorous creature has some kind of weapon that they use to attack their prey making it more dangerous; It also possesses the natural instinct of hunter making it more aware of its surrounding.

The panther dodge Luna ambush as it turns and attacks Alice ignoring the two guys in front of it. Alice tumbling to the side barely dodging the panther claws which is inches away from her faces. BONE-VOYAGE and James run towards the panther interupting its follow up attack, giving Alice enough time to get back on her feet.

The panther changes its trade hit with BONE-VOYAGE while dodging James's attack.

Thwack!!! CREAK!!!

BONE-VOYAGE club hit the panther on the side but a much louder sound coming out of his left hand as the panther smash his boney hand.

Both parties took a step back after they trade hit considering their options.

"Can you guys give me time to resummon BONE-VOYAGE? He loses his hand!" James shout

"I don't think we have enough time for that! He dodges most of our attack and we need at least 3 people to keep him occupied otherwise he would attack me or Kana! KANA, Try to heal BONE-VOYAGE!"

"Already tried that! The healing goes trough but it didn't regrow his hand!." Kana said as she chugs a healing potion to refill her HP.

'We finally dealt some damage but we took a lot more on our own. Kana can't regrow BONE-VOYAGE hand and the only way to heal him is to resummon him but James would need some time to do so. The attack is too high to tank normally the only way to tank it is either James mana shield or BONE-VOYAGE. Wait a minute! MANA SHIELD!'

"JAMES! TRY TO TRANSFER SOME OF YOUR MANA TO BONE-VOYAGE! Try to strengthen it like you strengthen your shield!"

"WHAT?! What are you trying to do?" James ask unsure about Albert suggestion

"This is a gamble but we would die anyway if things continue the way it is!" Albert said as he controls Luna more aggressively giving James enough time to channel his mana to BONE-VOYAGE.

'If my conjecture was true then similar to how we can strengthen weapon using mana. Then it was possible for James to strengthen BONE-VOYAGE using his mana. BONE-VOYAGE is also made of purely out of James's mana so it should be easier for him to shroud it with his mana similar to how he covers his shield with mana.'

"WHAT THE???" Kana said shocked

BONE-VOYAGE body emitting blue glows as he grows his body even bigger and heals its arm in the process of it. Transferring almost half of his mana James stops as he feels that he loses control over BONE-VOYAGE. BONE-VOYAGE is now a two and a half meter skeleton with red eyes ready to re-engage the fight.
