Chapter 13 - 13.Anna Campbell

Albert is woken up after the long night sleep and day full of surprise. He put his right hand where his comlink resides in front of his face to look at the time.

'10.34 Gosh dang it! I overslept mom going to kill me.'

Albert thought as he floats downstairs as fast as he possibly can. He still can't move his legs but after 10 years he's already a pro moving from his bed to his chair back and forth. His pet snake woken up by the commotion he causes. If he can understand her, he would know that she's really annoyed that he disturbed her beauty nap time.

Looking at Albert ready to get out of the room she slithers her way to her royal throne on my shoulder. And continuing her beauty nap using Albert's shoulder as her pillow.

"Morning," Alice's said while yawning walking out of her room

"It's almost noon Alice, we've overslept. I wonder why mom didn't wake us tough"

"What???!!! Mom's going to kill us let's go, hurry" her eyes go from let me sleep 5 more minutes to there's a meteor coming towards her in a blink.

Downstair Mrs. Abigail is reading newspaper in the dining table full of food. Looking at their mom not in the best mood, Albert decides to start the conversation by apologizing

"Sorry, we overslept, mom. Is dad already home? Where is he?"

"Nevermind, kids. Your dad's flight got canceled due to the storm. He said he'll try to book another flight as soon as possible but it'll probably impossible to make it for this weekend." Mrs. Abigail said disappointed

Seeing their mother not in a very good mood. Alice tried to cheer her up by acting as the most adorable daughter world could have. The rest of the day they spend inside their house finding their own entertainment due to the storm.

Albert spends the rest of the weekend reading the experiment manual and playing with Luna.

He also successfully raise his Instrument Mastery experience by experimenting with his dad's old guitar. By Monday morning he raises his Instrument Mastery experience to 4%; He also raises his affinity with Luna causing his puppet mastery to gain more experience.

He calls James and Kana every night to discuss what he gains during the day and to share more information so they can perform better as a group. The day before school he was so excited about the change that would occur in his school and he almost couldn't go to sleep because of it. Albert reserve James taxi service's that night so he doesn't have to go to the nearest bus station in this cold weather.

------Saint Joseph Academy------

"Good morning, Mr. Wayne" Alice greet her teacher

"Morning, Alice. You don't have to go to your classes just straight to the auditorium. There would be another assembly this morning." Mr. Wayne reply with a smile

"Is it only for senior on junior high? Or also for all senior high school students?" Albert ask Mr. Wayne

"It's for all student that participating in yesterday experiment. By the way, according to school regulation, you can't bring pets to school, Mr. Ward." Mr. Wayne said when he sees Luna on Albert's shoulder.

"Oh, this is Luna, and she's not my pet well not your normal pet exactly. You can say that I got her through the experiment. Is it really not possible for me to bring her inside Mr. Wayne?"

"If you got it from yesterday's experiment than I guess it's okay to bring her in. But I need to check your card to confirm whether or not this is really not just an exotic pet."

After Mr. Wayne finishes checking Albert stats, the group waltz in and head to the auditorium. Albert, James, and Alice start looking for Kana when they arrive at the auditorium. James offers his taxi services to her but she declines him. She said she would bring surprise tomorrow morning at school for them and end that conversation.

In the auditorium, Kana is having a conversation with another girl who looks similar to her. The girl has the same skin complexion as Kana who is a bit Asian but mostly Caucasian. She's taller than Kana by not much the only distinct different about them is their hair. Kana has short hair and she always loves that bob cut hair while the other girl ties her long hair with a ponytail.

"Annnnnnaaaaaaaa!!!!" Alice jumps straight to the girl beside Kana without hesitation.

Albert almost couldn't believe his eyes when Anna turn her body and straight-up catching Alice with both of her hand mid-air.

'What in the name of hell is that reaction? Are all normal humans capable of catching a human being running and jumping at them at full speed?'

"Aliceeeee!!!" Anna starts swinging Alice left and right like some kind of doll making the little devil happy.

"Hey Anna, long time no see. What are doing here? Didn't you graduated like 2 years ago?" Albert greets Anna as he approaches them.

"She is being transferred here as she's also part of the experiment."

"What??? I thought it was only for young people aged between 15 -18?" James confirming whether or what he hears yesterday are true.

"Hey, Albert!!! Hey, James!!! It's for people aged 15 - 24 but they prioritized younger people so, for now, they focused mostly on places that have good reputations such as our school." Anna clarified

"Oh is that why there seems to be many unfamiliar faces here. Also, are all our school alumni who're not older than 24 would come back?" Albert spoke as he observes his surrounding

"Not exactly, most of the transfer students would be your ages. I'm a special case as I already start the experiment about 10 days ago as 3rd beta tester but because of the circumstances I transferred here."

"Oh, you start the experiment earlier than us. Does that mean you already gone to that world?"

"If by that world you mean the tutorial world than yes, but Eden nope, not yet."

"There's a tutorial world????"

"Of course there's you did not think that the government would just throw a bunch of unstable teenagers to another world without some kind of guidance did you? Didn't your dad already explain this?"

"Nah, his flight got canceled so he has to re-book it. By the way, what's all this gotta do with my dad? Does he know something?"

"Woops, well I guess you have to wait to hear it directly from him." Anna tries to slip away avoiding answering Albert question

"You are also part of the experiment??? Do you have stats? What is your class? Can I see your stats, sis?" Alice starts barraging Anna with questions.

"Here you go, little Angel." Anna gave Alice her card while still hugging her from her back like she hugs a teddy bear.

"You unlock your experience bar later when you get some general experience in the game. As for how to level there's a lot of ways to do it. You can fight monsters if you want as it is one of the faster ways to do so. But there's a lot of different ways. For now, you better listen to the principal first cause it looks like he's going to start" Anna said pointing at the principal who's walking with a group of people.
