Chapter 7 - 7.Trait, Mastery, & Skill

Name:Project New World Author:Pleki
Mr.Poe lead Albert group outside but because James drove his car to the school this morning, they decided not to take a bus. On our way outside Albert slip questions after questions to Mr. Poe about the experiment because he seems to know more about these whole things.

"The classification would only help the system to find you a suitable field that you can shine on. But even if you are classified as a noncombat it would still depend on you on how you use your potential to be useful. Then again you are called evolver and if it means something, It means that you can evolve. Based on the data that we gather from the previous result the ability that you gain can evolve depending on how you used it so you should explore how to use it.....

If I have to guess the problem on your HP should be related on to your legs as for Kana's MP I guess it should be related to her traits but I'm not too sure either, you can try to find information about it on the new library on Monday.....

You should read the manual that the principal give. It answers a lot of questions that I don't have time to answer now. Now go and see you on Monday"

As Albert floats to James's car with Kana, Alice, and James; Albert tries to reviews all the new information that he got from Mr.Poe. Suddenly he remembers the last thing that Mr. Poe said to him when he waves him goodbye.

'The experiment not only gives you ability and class it also slowly changes your entire body structure. You should try to walk on your feet when you have time Albert'

Albert tries to turn towards Mr. Poe but sitting on the floating chair doesn't make it easier for him. When the chair turn 180 degrees all he can see was Mr. Poe back so he decided to keep all the questions he has in his head until Monday

On their way to Kana's house, Albert busy reading the manual that the principal gave them. It only took about 15 minutes before he gave up reading all of it while the rest of the group gave up even before they start reading.

--------- Albert Perspective-----------

This feels like reading terms and conditions that they gave you when you create an online account. I guess I'll binge reading this on the weekend. Also, dad is coming home tomorrow so he can help me to eat all of this information. For all, I know he knows a lot more than I think he knows. I think his text this morning is correlated to the experiment and he said something that good or bad one ability is depending on how the user uses the character may be the clue.

All I get from reading the manual so far was that each of us is unique and even if we get the same class doesn't mean we get the same trait or masteries. Mastery can be acquired by spending your mastery point on a level 10 mastery. Spending mastery points on a level 10 mastery and would force said mastery to evolve and gain you 1 empty mastery slot to choose another mastery to master. Traits and Mastery can evolve with certain conditions that different for each.

You can also gain traits as the times goes on or if you met certain conditions that would trigger it. Bear in mind that there are positive and negative traits so if we are unlucky there is a chance that you would get a negative one. Mastery and traits usually evolve to fit the user more so they are uniques for each people.

So for example when there are peoples with the same fire manipulation mastery but 1 guy specializes it to make a fireball while the other specializes in covering their hand and use it in melee. When you reach level 10 mastery and use mastery point on it. One of them would evolve lean towards concentrate effect and the other would evolve lean towards range and stuff. After all of that reading, I decided to check all of our skills and mastery tab before we reach home.

------- End of Albert perspective -------

"HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA. A priest without any MP and not capable of healing, Necromancer who can only summon 1 monster, and a monk who can't wield any weapon. HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA"

"Hey, this is not funny you know. And you aren't the best either what can you do when you facing an enemy. Sing a lullaby for them?" Alice puffs her cheeks at me.

James smile wryly while he drives and said

"So I can summon 1 skeleton but it would be stronger compared to a skeleton that other people summoned. I guess that's a good thing, right??"

"Not really but yeah you got a head start in that department. Well, at least you got your path figured out you just need to fight quantity with quality. And why skeleton; can't you summon something else like a dragon??"

"Well, it said in my class that I'm a necromancer, right? So it gotta be skeleton right?"

"I can't deny that logic" I said sarcastically amaze at James flawless logic

'I have to persuade him so he will choose a stronger summon and not a fragile skeleton' Albert make a note in the back on his mind

"You have to explain it to me how does all of this works later after you finish read that manual. I just can't understand it. The way that the manual told us is so back and forth and I just can't focus. And how do you gain mastery? We have some empty mastery slots and you said we can choose a mastery to learn, right?" Kana said cutting Albert monologue

"Wait let me continue reading this I want to know do we choose a mastery for our empty mastery slot," Albert said while skimming the manual again.

"It said here that we can choose new mastery just by clicking the empty slots and a new window would pop up. In that window, there is a list of masteries that you are compatible with. Some masteries would have some requirements like some stats so you would have to be compatible but also fulfill the requirements. So I guess we would have a different option want me to help you pick your mastery?"

"Hey hey hey, help me pick first, help me pick first" Alice cut his brother short
