Chapter 546 - Lieutenant Teo Part 4

Since sir Rhys was around, he decided to leave and check on the town. This was also an excellent time to stock up on supplies too.

"Here is your change five ri."

Teo accepted the change and walked out of the store, two bags in his hands. For the last few minutes, he was aware of people's gaze on his. He supposed going out without a disguise ends up this way. Although he has accepted the idea of himself being the second Princess guard, he still didn't like the idea of a disguise. Why does he need to hide? It's not as though he's done anything wrong.

Riku could clearly remember it when he first received the instructions to become a part of the girl's guard squad.

'Why? Did I make a mistake in my conduct towards you, Master?'

'That's not it.'

'But then why are you dismissing me to someone else.'

'Because I do not have a lot of time left. Teo, you've known this for a long time already. No matter what we do, when a person's time is up, that's it. '

'Your new Master is currently in the same position. However, I can't disclose any details. Even with the time limit on her life, that girl is living her life to the fullest. As a result, she is suffering a great deal. Teo, I want you to help her.'

He didn't understand it, and for the longest of time, he was in denial. He could still remember it quite clearly, how after that conversation, he would wander around the streets endlessly without a destination in mind. Until one day, when he reached a park and heard her play.

His thoughts broke off when he spotted black and blue. It can't be; the ball was last night, so she is probably resting up today. Sir Rhys just came back too.

Teo followed regardless. After he ran for a few minutes, he comes to a halt at the giant cherry tree in the park center.

"I made my mind up."

What is she --?

"Suoh, I choose you."

At that comment, a bright light surrounded the brunette hair girl, and when it disappeared, he noted that her outfit had changed to a lilac dress with a pale frosted-pink ribbon tied onto the cuff of each sleeve. A piece of frilly white material makes up the collar, sewn with lilac string with a tiny frosted-pink bow on each shoulder to connect to the ribbon tied around the neck.

A crown laid firmly on her head. A man with blonde hair stepped forward, and his eyes went wide as he recognized the man. He is one of the legendary 'Judges,' could it be that Princess Lyn chose one of these people as her familiar?

"Suoh."

"I Suoh will be at your command officially from now onwards. " He kissed the girl's hand. "You made the right choice."

"Yes." She trails off. "How long do you intend to hide for Lieutenant Teo?"

So she realized he was trailing her, he stepped out of the shadows of the tree. "My my, is this..."

"He is." Lyn laughs. "Are you going to lecture me?"

Teo shook his head, "I cannot." Because she firmly decided despite being lost for a long time. "But, if you wish for someone to lecture you, then I have plenty of things I want to say. For instance, please don't go around walking late at night and your leg is still injured, so you shouldn't use such aggressive movements on it."

"Ahh, you don't hold back."

"But, I do have to ask you. Why so suddenly? Although I am aware that you have been agonizing about this matter for a long time now."

At that comment, the girl lifted the flower Suoh had given her and held it closer to her chest. "That's true, and this is sudden. But I have already resolved myself. " His eyes went wide at those words could it be she ---?

"I have to welcome Kazuya back with a smile, and what better than to have already made a choice. I don't want him to witness my agony and pain. For a while now, I've wanted to walk down this path. Suoh and I are strangely similar after all."

Despite these words, he saw her gradually lose her balance.

Teo catches her arm and prevents her from falling. "Ah, thank you."

"You are too reckless. ." He murmurs. She is reckless, and yet just now, that was beautiful.

A person does not have to wear white to look like an angel. Just now, it seemed like genuine Angel wings were surrounding the Princess.

"Queen. We will take our leave, that was an interesting display you showed us. Come Tsukasa, Utoboshi." With those words said, the trio disappeared, leaving him alone with the Princess.

"Ah-ah, he left one of his rings behind. He should stop acting all flashy." Lyn said, bending down to pick up the silver metal on the ground.

Just now, he wondered if he imagined it. But it felt as though a powerful wind surrounded. A powerful wind and gorgeous light were acting as a barrier of some sort. How strange it's not unusual to see barriers due to the nature of magic in the Kingdom, and yet something felt different.

"Can you walk?" Teo asked.

Lyn nodded, and soon the two of them walked down the forest path.

Teo observed that her clothes had already gone back to normal. He figured that it was due to the contract-pact that happened there, yet he found it unusual. "Why does the outfit change?"

Lyn blinks and burst into laughter. "Out of all the things you could have asked me, I did not expect that."

Teo averts his gaze, embarrassed and coughed. "The attire is an important part of the battle." Despite what it seemed like, the kind of clothes one wears on the battlefield will impact the fight's outcome.

"I know." Lyn nodded and trailed off. "Eh, well, how to put it? I guess it has something to do with me signing the pact with Suoh. This marks me as part of their organization, I guess?"

His eyes twitched, annoyed at her vague terminology. "If you do not know, then there's no need for you to answer!"

One moment she seems confident, and the next, she behaves this way. He does not know how to handle her, and yet she is an interesting person.
