Chapter 507 - Difficult to escape fate

"I see."

Don't look at her.

Don't look at her right now, right now she is making a awful expression.

"Don't look at me." Lyn said as she looked down. "....I look awful...and....my eyes are puffy...even though I already knew. That once we regained our memories things wouldn't be the same between us anymore. Even though I was fully aware of that ....I didn't know that it would hurt this much."

Ah, she is doing it again. All she is doing recently is say such stupid things like this. It's no wonder Rhys acts like that. That's right, his behaviour isn't abnormal at all. The one with odd behaviour. The reason why Rhys feels the need to turn to another woman is because of her.

"I will look, because to me you'll always be beautiful"

Eh? Before Lyn could look up, she was suddenly pulled into a deep embrace causing her eyes to widen.

He is warm... Is it because of the aura and powers of his power? Either way it's such a comfortable feeling, but --- she cannot anymore.

"Let me go."

"No can do."

"Didn't you say I'm not your type? That you don't like girls like me?" Lyn exclaimed. She knew he only said those hurtful things because her sister was around. But this was the only thing she could do to push him away. Please don't get any closer Kazuya

"Yeah, I said that."

"Then ---" Lyn paused when she the expression on his face.

Ah, what's with that expression? Why does he have to look like that? What's with those tender looking eyes of his? Why?

He suddenly scoops down and she felt his breath trickling down her neck.

"I said all those things yes. But do you not remember? I also said that I prefer fragile and weak girls who can rely on me."

'He is an idiot.'

"I'm not like that." Lyn whispered. But who was she trying to convince there?

He inter winded a strand of her locks with his fingers.

"You are Lyn." Kazuya said.

It was just three words

since you are like that now. It is okay for you to rely on me".

This guy is dangerous, he's really dangerous. She has to stay away from him. She has to put up a barrier, he's the enemy of all woman. And yet she can't, for some reason right no she can't. Maybe it's due to the lack of strength in her arms and her weak emotional condition. But right now she can't.

..

Two hours later - Abandoned Mansion -

Lyn closed her eyes, as she reached over and placed her hand on the markings that dawned the wall. The battle ended no more than a few hours ago and yet she had found herself wandering around the entire place. It's like what Silver said. It will end up that way after all. Although she already knew that, it's still surprising.

She still wanted to make sure. Heh, who is she kidding herself? Such thoughts like that will make her weak. Her thoughts broke of when she feels a pair of arms wrap around her.

"Get off me. You're a pest."

She hears the grey hair boy chuckle, "The same as always. But I'll have to admit you seem to treat Rhys more specially now.." He trails of. "Could it be at long last something happened between you two?"

Something huh.

A lot has happened between them since they saw each other again. But not in the sense Savaris is thinking.

That person left her. That's why they can talk to each other normally. Since there no longer feelings of love in the way. Yet as of late she noticed it. What he was trying to say that time was probably that.

Rhys showed up just in time. If not then right now once again the two of them would not be able to face each other again. That would be sad. Despite what it seemed like she really did thought of that person as someone important.

"Your making that face again for him."

Lym sighs. "Shut up. Let go of me already."

Her grey haired guard shook his head and instead increased his grip. "I do wonder what happened in the years you were gone hime-sama. Rhys was too busy gawking at your fighting figure to notice it. But the darkness around you has increased quite a ton..."

He suddenly spun her around. Before she could get away he grabbed hold of her arm.

She couldn't avert her eyes in time causing him to sigh.

"Well now I figured as much. But seeing it up close is quite something."

She really disliked this man.

Out of all her guards, he seemed to emit a completely different aura then the rest. One she could not understand and that's why it scared her.

"Rhys didn't see it did he?"

Savaris shook his head. "He didn't. But it's become like that. For you to rely on that again. You said you wouldn't pick it up anymore." He said, pointing to the red blade in her sash.

"In the end I can't help that. A lot has happened."

That's right, so much has happened then. She makes her way to the markings on the wall.

"This place too was once peaceful but now it's completely a wreck. The darkness has spread here and consumed everything. But darkness only exists due to the hate and bitter feelings of the people. In the end it's the only true colour I have been able to see that's why I cannot abandon it."

'Princess, without being held captive live freely.'

The sensei at the church said that then. About trying to live freely. Since then she's always lived her life honestly, always lived true to her beliefs. That's how it has been since then. But at one point in her life she must have begun to notice it, the true meaning behind those words.

In the end it is difficult to escape fate.

"Is that why you wish to keep Rhys from finding the truth? Since he is the light."

Lyn chuckles lightly and her gaze softened. "Absolutely right. Don't tell him though, even if it's him he will get mad at me. That guy was once the same as I was and yet he managed to escape from the darkness. No even when he was surrounded by it he was always fighting it. Rhys was always important."
