Chapter 491 - I love her

At that comment, Rhys raised his eyebrows. Pure and innocent? That girl?

No Princess Lyn is not innocent.

All those rumors about her were suspicious from the start. He wondered if the First Princess people understood what the word innocent was. He doubted it, with the way they spread such things. Then again those people most likely did not have a brain. How could they spread that and then spread rumors that Lyn is a malicious woman who is bullying the pure Princess Lethia? Such contradictory and stupid statements.

"I love her," Rhys said quietly. He loves Lyn so much, no matter what happens he wants to be with her.

Penelope bit her lip and nodded. "I will help you."

Rhys blinked when he heard these words. She would help…

"I am saying this because I can tell that you genuinely care for Lyn and that child cares about you in the same way. Princess Lethia is plotting something large this time with this new fiance of hers, when that happens Lyn and you will escape from here."

"Is that--"

Penelope nodded. "What I saw in the form of a vision, unfortunately, I do not know what the circ.u.mstances were."

"Tell me more."

Penelope spoke of them fleeing, hiding away in a small village, and then going offshore. She described a beautiful land with odd buildings and yet Rhys was familiar with the place. It is a secret to everybody but there is another Empire out there. An empire that differs from this place. So he and Lyn will go there?

"Anything could change the future, so do not take my words seriously. However, there is no doubt that you and that child will eventually have peace. But.."

Rhys understood where she was coming from. For how long will they have this peace?

Before he could say anything else, he spotted Lyn walking over. She took his hands in hers and tilted her head innocently.

"Rhys?"

"Huh..oh..."

Lyn chuckled. "I want to take a quick stroll in the garden. But Pupillam isn't around and Allen is occupied. I need a guard when I go out, do you mind joining me?"

Rhys blinked and turned to Penelope but the woman was already walking away.

"I apologize did I interrupt your talk?"

He shook his head and wrapped his arms around her waist. "Let's go outside."

......…..

The moment he found a quiet spot in the garden. Rhys did not hesitate to attack her.

"That was a clever move," Rhys mumbled against her skin.

"You wouldn't stop staring at me."

"Lyn, Lyn...."

"Your so clingy these days."

He can't get enough of her, she's gorgeous. Right now, Rhys wanted nothing more than to take her. He licked her neck, sucked and bit on the soft flesh causing a light m.o.a.n to escape her lips. Despite the darkness, he could see Lyn clearly, his hands ran through her dress. It seems like she has adapted to his whims.

He recalled what she said earlier about it feeling good and paused. Since he is Lyn's lover now, he needs to make sure she feels comfortable and loved.

I can't treat her the same way I did other women.

"Rhys." Lyn brushed her lips against his and kissed him lightly. "I love you."

Rhys froze when he heard those words from her. Does she love him? This is the first time Lyn has ever said such words. Even when she told me that she wanted to date him seriously, she did not use the words love. Before all of this, she would simply use the words adore but that was the same thing she would use on another person.

He did not have any hope at all. No, calm down. This is Lyn he is talking about here.

"Do you need me to do something?"

"Oh my, you catch on quick."

He sighed. "Damn, I almost fell for that."

Lyn chuckled. "Before I ask you for this favor. I would like for you to respond to what I did just now."

"Lyn, don't say such things to me.."

"Ah... Hey, don't leave too many marks."

Rhys raised his eyebrow. "After provoking me like that?"

She rolled her eyes. "Honestly, men…" Lyn trailed off. "Do you know who my sisters new fiance is?"

Rhys shook his head as he continued to caress her legs through the slit on her dress. Western dresses are usually inconvenient but this one wasn't. "Nobody seems to know, that is why so many people have come here."

When he saw her serious expression and those clouded eyes. Rhys tugged on the ribbon of her dress, loosening it in the process. Despite how serious she looked, the girl's face automatically reddened at his action.

"What is wrong love?"

It seemed like Lyn did not expect him to treat her this way. "Were are outside, do you not have any manners?"

"I am afraid not Princess." Rhys scoffed at the word manners. Since when did Lyn start using words like this? Since when did she start behaving like a noblewoman? Despite enduring Princess lessons for so long. Rhys knew that Lyn disliked behaving like a noble. So how come she is suddenly using such fancy terms?

His gaze darkened further when he realized something. Is it because Lyn spends so much time with Prince Allen these days? She is already his woman… and yet it seems like she belongs to somebody else right now.

"Are you upset?" Lyn kissed his lips. "I simply do not want to catch a cold. We can continue this properly when we come back."

So thats why? A relieved sigh escaped Rhys lips. He shook his head. "Not upset." Rhys trailed off. He liked the feeling of Lyns lips on his and wanted more of it but he did not want to taint her innocence even further. Rhys reluctantly got up and helped her fix her dress. "Lets walk around."

Lyn chuckled. "Alright."

The two of them quickly left that area and took a stroll.

It seemed strange to be walking with her like this. But when Lyn linked her arms around his and occasionally rested her head on his shoulder. He felt his heart flutter and his cheeks grew hot. So is this how it feels to have a genuine date with somebody? This was nice, he could get used to this.

But Rhys recalled that letter he received the other day and clenched his fist. It seems like those people would not let him live in peace. He has to get Lyn out of the Kingdom, he has to keep her away from the affairs of the Empire. Rhys understood that Lyn had a goal now and would not abandon this place easily.

He has to persuade her. Rhys looked at the girl clinging to him and talking happily. It seems like he will have to use that tactic on her. Rhys wanted to treat her differently from all those other women, but it seems like he will have to use that tactic to win her over completely. It is cruel but he needs to make sure she is devoted to him and would do anything for him. The last time he used this technique on a woman, that woman became insane. But he is in a hurry.
