Chapter 485 - Tell me something

Lyn stared nervously at Lady Penelope who was calmly drinking her tea. 'What kind of breakfast is this?'

Rhys sat to her right, while Allen sat at the head of the table. Ralph and Penelope on the other side. The atmosphere seemed very tense. Nobody was talking, but nobody was actually eating either.

A deep sigh crossed her lips.

Of course these two knew each other and of course Lady Penelope had to be one of Rhys exes. Lyn never thought she would end up in a situation like this. A former love? From the sounds of things, these two didn't end up parting in such good terms. Unfortunately the situation is already weird enough as it is. So Lyn knew better than to ask.

There are some things that are better of a secret. Besides it's hard to imagine Rhys with somebody five years older. Then again, this man shows no restraint. He would target all ages if he could.

She frantically shook her head. 'It would be rude of me to think of that way.' Rhys isn't that bad of a person. Her thoughts broke off when she realized that her plate was filled with food. Even though she didn't touch anything yet, Rhys kept filling her plate up.

He split the bread in half and even blew on the soup. He extended it towards her. "Lyn, you have to eat something." Rhys urged.

"Ah um."

"Are you still not well?" Rhys put the bread down and brushed his hands across her forehead. "I think your still hot."

'I am perfectly fine. But, it's your actions causing me to be speechless.' Since when did Rhys become so attentive toward her? Or is he doing this because Lady Penelope is here? She shook her head. Rhys is not the type of person who wo-- her thoughts broke off again. She felt one of Rhys hands on her thighs.

Ah..

"I'll eat."

His lips curve to a smile. "Mm, open wide my love."

She struggled to remain calm when he called her 'my love.' Does he not realized they are in public? Thankfully it was just the four of them. Lady Penelope sent away the rest of the servants insisting they would only disrupt her meal.

Well forget it, if she is doomed for this fate anyway she might as well enjoy it. Lyn opened her mouth and Rhys fed her.

She could feel Lady Penelope's piercing gaze the entire time. Does master have conflicting feelings about this?

Before she could say a word she spotted one of the servants enter the room. He whispered something in Allen's ear and Allen immediately got up.

Penelope stood up too. "If it's about that, since I am here I will go too."

Ralph nodded. "Indeed then I shall accompany you."

When the three left the dining hall. She finally lets out the sigh she held back this whole time. 'That was far too tense even for me.'

Rhys cupped her cheeks. "Kiss."

"Uh, your asking?"

He chuckled. "Only because I know you don't feel well."

"I'm fine now." She trailed off.

"Rhys, did you really date master?"

"Yeah." Rhys nodded. "It was only for a short while though. It was one of my missions."

Ah, one of his missions?

"That woman has an unusual power. So many people want to know the secret to it."

So it was something like that. Then that means there were no prior feelings. But she is in the same situation too isn't she?

"Rhys.." Lyn mumbled as his lips grazed her neck. "Could you not leave so many marks? I have a hard time explaining."

"You don't have to explain love. People should understand." He trailed off. "But hey don't change the topic, are you jealous?"

"N-no." She struggled to keep her voice low as he nibbled on her b.r.e.a.s.ts through her clothes. "Rhys, don't."

"When will I be able to touch you hmmm?"

"The end of the year." Lyn mumbled.

"That's too far away. I wonder if there's time."

Indeed, in a year so many things would happen. She ran her hands through his hair and panted heavily. She felt the sweat cling to her skin. "Rhys." She trailed off. "This feels weird. Could you stop?"

To her surprise he drew back and gently kissed her lips. "Too much?"

"Yes."

"Your my wife, you'll get used to it. But I won't overwhelm you for now." He fixed her clothes up and turned towards the food. "Do you still want to eat?"

"I do."

For somebody who was so quick to touch her. He pulled away very quickly. Lyn buried her face in his chest and he ran his hands through her hair.

"What's wrong?"

'Are we really in a relationship?' Lyn wanted to ask him. These days it no longer seemed like they were just acting. "I wanted to ask, are we dating?"

"Yeah." Rhys nodded. "At least since I did 'that' to you, I thought of you as my girlfriend. Sorry if you were confused."

So they are dating? She didn't even say anything to confirm. "Don't you think this is going a bit too fast?" Lyn mumbled quietly.

Rhys sighed. "So, you don't want to be my woman?"

"I didn't say that." Lyn replied quickly. "Just, I think you need to ask me properly."

To her surprise he didn't reply immediately, and she felt her heart beat increase. She suddenly felt frightened. How come he isn't replying? Is asking him to ask her out properly far too much? Is it too much to want an answer- her thoughts broke off when Rhys suddenly lifted her up.

Her eyes widened at this. "Rhys?"

"Indeed, what am I doing these days? I've become so soft. But I don't think this side of me is completely bad. The fact that I love you and were genuinely a couple. I want to announce it to the entire world. However, we can't do that for now, that's why I didn't ask you."

'Can't do that for now, huh?' Lyn immediately understood what he was trying to say. She extended her hands out. "Do you think I'm pretty?"

"Maybe it's the alcohol. But you're suddenly prettier than usual."

"Don't jest."

In the next second she was no longer in the air. She was laying down on the ground and Rhys was on top of her. "Tell me something Princess Lyn, are you not experienced with men?"

"You know I'm not."

"It's hard to believe with the games you play with me sunshine." He kissed her neckline. "Or are you saying you're only learning as I lead you on?"

"Perhaps."

At that comment Rhys suddenly sat up. He sighed. "Alright Lyn, I think I understand. You like me right?"

"I believe so."

"But you liked Kazuya too. Due to what I said last time, you decided to seal your feelings for me."

Lyn nodded. "That's also right."

"Damn." Rhys muttered. "You know this is your fault too. Sure I cut you off but you could have tried again."

"Do you think I could? You kept avoiding me."

Whenever she thought back to that time it frustrated her. Why did he avoid her? He even brought other women along.

She looked away angrily when she thought of it. So much time has passed since then but it still bothered her.
