Chapter 412 - Playing mind games

*UNEDITED*

Rhys could tell exactly what this little girl was thinking. His behaviour when he was younger? Indeed, he certainly overwhelmed her. But, that was only because he was overwhelmed by her. Not, it's because he didn't realize her exact age. To him, Lyn looked like she was well over sixteen - naturally he would flirt with her. He didn't think she was a child. He knew explaining that again would be futile though, so Rhys started to kiss her again.

He pried her mouth open easily again and this time didn't warn her. Not that he warned her much in the first place. She tasted sweet, exactly like berries to him. She's so beautiful, he didn't think it was possible for him to love somebody until he met her.

..

After kissing intently for a good hour, Rhys finally released her. It didn't take long Lyn to realize that Kazuya went somewhere, so she started ranting to him. Rhys pulled out his lighter and just listened to her. 'He probably ought to tell her to fix her clothes,' but Rhys liked the work he did on her. Those marks he left on her neck and shoulder blades. It should be a warning and declaration to Kazuya.

Satisfied, Rhys spoke up. "He's busy, you know what his role is here." While Kazuya is his rival, he felt bad for his friend. The real ambassador was meant to be him.

Lyn sighed, "I know, but I just feel stressed out whenever I don't see him. A lot of things happen you know when he isn't around me. It's difficult to cope with such changes alone," she trailed off. "But, I guess that just means I'm used to relying on him," she suddenly changed her tone. "Are you worried about me?"

"Don't ask me questions to something you already know the answer too."

Rhys shifted closer to the black haired girl, and leaned down slightly to take a look at her expression, to his surprise she too stared at him, "Indeed , is exactly like the rumours say. You cannot flatter woman."

His eyes twitches in annoyance but he calmed himself down immediately, when he saw the look Lyn gave him. "That's right, I cannot flatter or compliment other woman."

He can only compliment women who are special to him.

"Is that so? I believed you gave me quite the compliment the other day."

Rhys lifted her chin up so the girl got closer to him. "As the Princess says so, it seems like I can only compliment the woman that's most important to me."

"Then, if I am as important to you as you say I am I must ask. ….… have you been with other women before?" she asked him.

It was a question he knew she would eventually ask. "Yes," he told her. In the past when he was young, and agile. There were days where only the pleasures of the flesh had dominated his mind. It had been normal for any young male. But Rhys felt disgusted when he thought of how he behaved.

Princesses were already rare, were not to be touched. It was not a matter of morality, but rather a smart thing for them to do, because there were so few of them. These elite females would only give themselves to their husbands.

Rhys used to think such girls were dull, but their beauty made him unable to resist. Rather than explore the joys of s.e.x, they would rather become the loyal and perfect wife. They cared more for their status, wealth and reputation. He understood this very well. While there are many women who have affairs, they remain loyal to their husbands.

He respected this rule despite his own desires. So, he sought his pleasure from the night district, and was lucky to meet a woman who taught him everything. How to please a woman - he thought it would be simple. But, it wasn't. It had been a more complicated affair than what he originally thought. "There were many," Rhys added.

A look of disdain flashed through the girl's eyes. Rhys couldn't miss her discomfort, "I see, I suspected as much."

"I'd hate to get this wrong and make a fool out of myself in front of you. But could it be that your actually displaying signs of jealousy?" Rhys muttered.

"Take it as you wish."

The two of them both knew the truth.

They are playing around, playing the ultimate mind game.

The first person who openly tells the truth looses. So Rhys doesn't reply, and dwells on his own thoughts for a few moments.

It was during this time when Rhys realized that he and this woman were complete opposites. She, was completely different than he originally thought. If he were to describe her using a particular season it would be winter - but the gentle snow of winter not the harsh winter winds. Pure, gentle and .... Just the thought of how she would blossom in the future froze him even more crazy. Thinking of having her under him, mouths joined in an intense kiss - him plowing inside her.

Rhys knew such thoughts were disgusting. He can't do anything to her because of her age. While the rules of the Mist Kingdom are less strict than the Sound. His consciousness would not let himself touch Lyn until she turns eighteen. Kazuya is the same, that's why he doesn't do anything too intimate with her.

But, it's become increasingly difficult for him to resist Lyn. He didn't realize before how fair her skin was. Her skin was even smoother than the silk around them. Rhys didn't know who bothered gifting him expensive silk, he had no use for it. Yet Rhys thought he could give it to her, and indeed Lyn was playing around with the material curiously.

Such flawless skin, no matter what he does to it. Her skin would remain this way.

"I have been wondering about something, would you be able to tell me?"

"And what would that be?"

"How is it that your appearance changes slightly at night then at day?"she murmurs. At that his eyes widened slightly, he didn't expect her to propose such a question. However, the girl leaned closer to him and placed her hand on his bare chest. "Are their circ.u.mstances you cannot talk about?"

Asking something like this, she has idea what she is doing hmmm? However, if she is asking something like that then they probably mentioned something to her already. Even if it isn't of her own will, Rhys didn't mind. He's already made his mind up when it concerns her after all.
