Chapter 212 - Othello

Shu's lips curve to a smile, "It seems like you're interested now?"

"Only because you mentioned Kazuya, tell me...

"Yes. How should I put it? It's not that bad, but when it comes to him, some people may get sensitive. So I wanted to keep this meeting between us."

"You...you are?"

"It may not be a happy topic for you, but, for us, it is important."

She understood the situation even if he didn't repeat himself. She had no idea what motive he had to get close to her, but now she knew a bit about him. Lyn flinched when she saw that he had stood up.

She backs away slightly. Uh oh, what does she do? If Rhys sees her with him again, then he will definitely get angry for sure. The one Rhys seemed to be bothered about the most was this guy, not Reiji.

"Uhh em sorry. I just remembered that I need to help my fiance with something. So I need to go back now."

Shu suddenly pouts, " Eh, what's this? Do you hate me? Did I do something bad?"

This guy has an unbelievable personality.

Lyn shook her head, " No, it's not that I hate you... It's just that I'm a bit scared."

"Scared why?"

"Because you're also like Reiji. And you might be targeting the D family group," this was something she discussed with Allen earlier.

The petite blonde hair boy takes a seat opposite her, " Hmm you do make a point. Oh, hey whatcha reading over there?"

Her face color drained entirely then. What does she do? He took a seat. Or rather, how can a person enter here so easily? Then again, the reason Shu could waltz in here casually is because of the request she made to Princess Eva.

"Hehe he the western poet? Out of all his works. Othello is my favorite."

Huh? That's..." You like tragedies?"

At some point, she had stopped bothering with the report and picked up a book and started reading.

"Yeah, there is a real sense of reality to them ya know? In this one, a man is consumed by envy suspects the woman he loves, and in the end, it all falls apart. Anyway, he is there a reason why you are fidgeting so much?" Since when did this guy become this sharp? Then again, in the first place, out of all the others. She never really truly did get to know him properly before. He suddenly points a single finger at her, "You're like Desdemona after all aren't ya? Paranoid that her Othello might come to the scene."

That sort of context would usually confuse most people. However, she too, had read the book and understood it in detail.

But even so, how could he say that about her and Rhys. "..were ...different from those two..." Lyn explained. But even as she said this, she was not sure at all. What is the relationship between her and Rhys? How confusing.

"Othello's jealous, no? And the cause behind this jealousy is an obsession."

Lyn shook her head, "That doesn't make us like them."

Shu leaned on his hand as he looked over at her. "Hmm, whenever Othello sees you with me. He gets raged with envy." She supposed that did sort of make her happy to hear that. But... " That's probably because your boyfriend has no faith in you, right?"

At that, her cheeks immediately color, "Boyfriend?"

Seeing her reaction, Shu's eyes widened, " Eh? He isn't. I seriously thought with the way you guys are close enough that he was."

"Uh, I really wouldn't consider him, my boyfriend."

Saying ' friend' seemed rather strange too. So, what was she to Rhys?

"Does that mean I still stand a chance? I can steal you away then heehe."

Lyn blinked and blinked as she looked at him for a few seconds before realizing what he had just said. The black-haired girl immediately backed away as if it was an automatic reaction, "Uhh?"

Shu laughs, "Ehhhh? You don't have to back out of your chair like that."

"I mean, it's a bit embarrassing. Sorry...."

The petite blonde hair boy merely laughs, "Hehe. I was only joking around. You do take things seriously," Shu changes his tone, "But on the other hand how will you survive if you open yourself up too easily? After dealing with the troubles of being a Knight."

"Are you finding it hard being a Knight after?" Lyn asked.

It was something she had never once thought of asking them. Since they were all - they were all always together. Lyn thought that as long as they remained together, they'd be able to overcome anything. Shu averts his gaze from her, "...well, I'm used to it, I guess.."

Before Lyn could inquire more, she hears a familiar voice.

"---- you're not doing work."

It's then she spotted somebody leaning against the door frame, " Uh? Rhys!" This is really bad. Before they parted ways earlier, Rhys specifically told her not to speak to Shu.

He made his way over.

Shu smile suddenly returned almost too quickly, "Yahoo long time no see. How have you been?"

Rhys doesn't answer Shu at all and turned his attention to hers, "Cut the crap explain." he shouted.

He is mad after all! "Ummm...well we were just talking about this one book."

Shu interjects, and that's when she notices it, the odd colors in his eyes. Once again --- " Othello~ It's a story about how an unexpected tragedy arises from one's insecurities that their beloved committed a.d.u.l.tery on them."
