Lyn felt her heartbeat speed up at his words. Is he that much of an idiot? What is he thinking? Wake up with her in his arms? Wake up with Kazuya beside her. Don't they already do that, anyway? Perhaps it would be different.

The two of them ended up walking around for a very long time, which lead to her feeling exhausted.

"Mm..... I'm fine. .." As Lyn said that she could feel the remaining strength leave her legs, and she collapses onto Kazuya's chest. Her cheeks flushed red. Even though it was something she figured out a long time ago; it was the first time she admitted out loud. Kazuya's feelings. It was the first time she heard him say it too. She can't help but feel self-conscious.

"No, you're not fine. Want to ride on my back?"

Lyn desperately shook her head and exclaimed how embarrassing that is. If he does that, she will recall how she was when she was a child. But a Piggie back. .come to think of it, a few months back Allen gave her one when she tripped during the time she chased after him. It was a rare time where they spent some good quality time together.

Her thoughts broke off when she felt Kazuya lift her of the ground, "Wh— wh— Kazuy? P—put me down? " she stammered.

"You can't walk anymore. If you try, you'll be stumbling all over the place. Besides, it's better for me to carry you like a princess than a piggyback, right? " H—he made a point there. But that doesn't make this less embarrassing. She covers her face in his clothing, and to her surprise, Kazuya smiles. Wait, isn't she making this worse for herself? But she doesn't want anyone to see how embarrassed she is.

"You smell so good Lyn."

Lyn hits him lightly, "Quit it. What happened to your manners?"

"Right. You smell decent today. Even though you rarely make this much effort unless, well it's for me."

"Wah quit flattering yourself."

But she indeed made the most effort when she knew Kazuya and her have an outing. Geez. . Lyn gave up. The person who knew the most about herself is definitely Kazuya. Although he never lets out how much he actually understands.

How mysterious. . She's gotten so used to being with Kazuya, that it feels like she's been with him forever. Sometimes Lyn gets this feeling that she knew Kazuya even long before he became the ambassador. Call it strange, but Lyn was suspicious. Kazuya knows far too much about her. It may be his mission to investigate her, but shouldn't there be a limit?

....

It's an hour or so before she can move around again. But when she can, Kazuya took her around. She wonders how Rhys and Beth are. At the start, they moved around as a group. It turned out that Rhys and Beth had been following them rather than return to the inn. To her surprise, Kazuya did not get mad, and they walked around with them as a group for a bit.

But eventually she became worn down, and Kazuya sent the other two ahead. Even though it wasn't like what she planned. The two still ended up walking around the stalls together. Its Beth chance to make a move. Still, Lyn wondered if it was okay for her to do something like that. Beth said nothing was going on between her and Rhys, so perhaps she is prying too much. However, she knew that since they met up with Beth and the others— Beth has not spent a lot of time with Rhys.

It's been a while since she's come to such a lively town. It's not like this in the city. There's a different sort of liveliness that doesn't come from commercial goods. Still, the eyes of the people here are just as dead as the ones in the last town. Everybody here is pretending that nothing is wrong, Lyn, however, isn't stupid. Such hazard looking eyes. She has to do something to help these people.

When will Kazuya tell her the rest of the details for the plan? The big plan will happen soon, and Lyn still hasn't heard a word about the new changes. A deep sigh passed her lips, even though between all of them she's the one with the highest degree of authority. Why are they still shoving her aside? It isn't fair at all.

Her thoughts broke off; however, when something caught her attention, "Look look. There's so much meat," Lyn said, pointing to the stands grilling different types of meat.

"Lyn if you overeat you'll get fat. "

Lyn rolled her eyes, just as Kazuya said those words. He took out some money and passed it on to the shopkeeper, "So why are you buying? "

"Don't sweat the details. Here have some," Kazuya hands her a barbecue stick, and she took a bite.

"Uwaah, it's so yummy! What is this? "

"Right? It's better than expected."

Or rather this must be a first for her, eating street food properly like this. Back in the main town, the food there is sterilized by officials before being sold. So, this was a first for Lyn. While this journey was to fetch something for mentor, she is learning a lot. Lyn was grateful that they could make these stops though they aren't here to fool around.

For a town that is supposedly under Prince Ereland's control though, Lyn did not see any traces of the cowardly Prince. He was terrorizing the village people so openly in the last town. How come he is doing nothing here? It made little sense to her. But Lyn did not want to let her guard down, that sneaky Prince is clearly up to something. With Kazuya, she knew that they could take him down. However, with Allen here too, this job should be a lot simpler.

Lyn slapped her cheeks; what is she doing? Feeling more reassured because Allen is here to help seems wrong. It's not like it meant anything in particular. However, Allen is a lot more organized in contrast to the other two.

"Lyn, say ahh."

"Ahh?" Lyn immediately followed his instruction without a second thought, and before she knew it, Kazuya had fed her one of the barbecue sticks. The top row of the barbeque remained in her mouth, and she slowly chewed it.

Kazuya's gaze was soft the entire time, and Lyn looked away, why does he seem so happy?

"Kazuya, you have to eat too."

"Right," Kazuya bent down and ate from the barbeque stick in her hands. Her cheeks grew hot, "Yeah, this meat really is good."

Too sly!

Too sneaky!

Still, she peeked over at Kazuya who was engaged in conversation with the storekeeper. Spending time with him like this is very nice.

...

The next stall they ended up stopping at a clothes and jewelry stall. Considering how Kazuya was the only guy looking, Lyn didn't want to stay too long. The General always seems fidgety whenever she goes to these places. It must be awkward for a guy.

"Wow...this cloth looks expensive," she commented, pointing to the lilac fabric of the dress on the stand.

"If we look at the price, Lyn, it's probably more than what I earn."

Now that Lyn thought about it, she never understood how Kazuya made money. Before he became the ambassador, what type of work did he do before? Her thoughts broke off when she felt Kazuya slip something onto her hair, "Ah?"

"This would look good on you," Kazuya had picked up a gorgeous flowery hairpin.
