Chapter 66 - The Two Of Us Are Similar

When Kazuya finishes patching up Yuzuhara's wounds. The young boy explains how he got those injuries.

Kazuya frowned, "The guards attacked you?" he seemed surprised and Lyn was too. She knew that after the guards learned of Kazuya's strength, and what he did recently - the bullying towards the Sound Kingdom members died down. Her eldest brother too sent a order around to treat their guests with 'care' and 'respect,'. Despite the short note Lyn knew that everybody got the message.

Her Eldest Brother is first in line to the throne. The messages he send out is like word from the King himself, so people never disobey them - no matter what unreasonable things are written there.

So, what on earth is this situation?

"Can you describe the guards to me? Are you sure they were guards from here?"

"Pos-" Yuzuhara trailed off, "Now that you mention it, the uniform looked a bit different. Black, swirl pattern," he described.

It was just a little description, and yet Lyn already knew whose guards he was talking about, "Prince John."

"Ah?!! Right! That guy, I overheard him say some shady things about you Princess and threatened to report him. He probably didn't like that and got revenge."

"Yuzuhara, you confronted him alone?!" Kazuya exclaimed.

"Uh...wait Kazuya-san, I have a good explanation for this."

But Kazuya wasn't happy at all, and started to lecture the young boy again.

"Prince John, is he troubling you? The reason you have nightmares?" Rhys said.

Lyn looked down as she clenched the covers, "It's not just him,"she murmured. While she can't deny that she gets nightmares regarding that time period. He is not the main cause of her suffering, "It's mainly about my curse."

"Your curse?"

"Yes, lately I keep seeing fire. Something is burning, peoples voices - and yet I see snow too."

Amongst all the flames she sees droplets of snow quietly falling from the background. At first Lyn thought she was seeing this. Whenever she has those nightmares, she can never see herself - she can see the scenes happening before her. But Lyn can never see herself, she can only see her hands and feet. It's like she was seeing things through another persons perspective. The Snow is quietly falling, and yet her whole body feels like it's burning.

As she described all this to Rhys, Lyn noticed instead of his sly and stupid remarks. He was actually listening to her intently. After she finished telling him, Lyn covered her mouth. Why is she telling all these things to Rhys?

Rhys lips curve to a smile, "So, there are things you can't tell him, but tell me huh?"

"Don't act so conceited."

Lyn realized that she raised her voice.

Kazuya looked over, "Rhys, don't bother Lyn. She's sick."

"Yes, yes," Rhys smiled, "We were just having a chat."

Indeed they were just chatting. But she suddenly felt uncomfortable. Why did she run her mouth like that? Just moments ago when Kazuya was asking her, Lyn couldn't tell him anything. Is Rhys different? Is it because he's easier to talk to? No, it's none of those things. Lyn brought the blanket to her face but peered over at Rhys, who stood not too close to her bed but not too far either.

Such an odd person, from the first day since she got to know him Lyn thought that. She immediately realized that he was not like all the other guys.

Different from Kazuya, and yet similar with her?

Lyn still wasn't sure about this.

There are seldom any people who are similar to her. But once in a while, Rhys would get this look in his eyes. A spaced out look.

Her thoughts broke off when she felt a clatter on her bedside table.

"Um?"

"Have some," Rhys said.

"But I just ate."

"Roasted potatoes and fish is healthy, Kazuya's cooking is too extravagant - well but when he cooks like this it shows he's in a good mood," Rhys explained.

That's true. Eating some light food may help her digest the rest of the food Kazuya made her. Lyn nodded and sat up, only with Rhys help though, "You, are sick, huh?"

"You only just realized?"

"Well, a little sickness has never been able to beat you down."

Lyn suddenly felt awkward, why does he know that about her?

"Say Rhys, when will we resume training?"

For the last few days she had been rather busy, and so had he. But Lyn was itching to learn the bow properly again.

Rhys gave her a sly smile, "When you get better, let's hope Kazuya doesn't spoil you with his cooking though. You won't be able to eat normal meals after you eat his food."

"Can you cook?"

"That's exclusive information, Princess," and he laughed, "But well, if you do want to know, just drop by my room."

Lyn shuts up then, and just silently ate the potatoes and fish. Just when she thought she understood him. 'Were similar, huh?' That might actually be the case. Rhys hid things under a mask like her and Kazuya. But Kazuya did things differently, he hid his behind a smile - while she and Rhys didn't hesitate to openly display their discomfort. Of course, they don't do it to gain pity or act like the victim. It's just something that's subconsciously become part of their personality. Giving out negative vibes and having a negative personality and mind set to everything.

A knock on the door interrupted them, her eyes go wide when she saw the person who entered. Ah? "Mentor," Lyn murmured.

"Princess Lyn, I hear you are unwell."

Kazuya was looking at Prince Ralph with suspicion. Of course he would. Kazuya didn't tell anybody she was sick, in fact he must have quietly brought her over here using his powers. This is going to be difficult to explain, even for her.
