Chapter 12 - Loving him wasn't enough

Seeing Huangyu's reaction, it seems like she didn't know about it. Gu Hongfe looked at Ronglou, he wondered how she exactly knew about him.

"I want you to help me escape this Kingdom." Ronglou said nonchalantly.

This time, Li Huangyu couldn't help but voice out. "Miss!" Her eyes were wide. She couldn't believe what she just heard. Didn't miss always wanted to get married to the Crown Prince?!

"Hahaha. This is interesting. From what I heard, You are in love with the Crown Prince? Why the sudden change of heart?" Gu Hongfe smirked. Li Huangyu nodded. She was thinking the exact thing.

Ronglou ignored Huangyu and replied to Hongfe. "I just felt like it. No need to know the exact details. I won't marry the Crown Prince and that's that. Either you help me or I'll go seek someone else's help."

"Hahaha. No rush. I didn't say that I wouldn't help you. In time, I'm sure I'll be able to uncover the truth. Why didn't you asked your family to help you?"

"I don't want to implicate them. You should know how loyal they are to the Imperial Family. No need to bring my family to this mess."

"So how do you plan on escaping? Everyone is looking forward to the Grand Wedding. Aren't you afraid of making the Imperial Family a laughingstock?." Gu Hongfe chuckled as he took some glasses out and poured tea to his guests.

"Simple. This is my plan..." Ronglou told him her plans. The more she said, the more Gu Hongfe felt that this woman wasn't simple. She definitely have thought this plan thoroughly and there wasn't any holes.

"Hmm.. That does sounds good. When do you plan to execute this?" Gu Hongfe rubbed his chin.

"Tomorrow. The sooner, the better." Ronglou smiled.

As they got back home, Li Huangyu couldn't help but speak her mind.

"Miss! You can't just leave! What about the Crown Prince? The Prime Minister? The Madame? Your older brothers and your younger siblings? That plan of yours will definitely make everyone worry of you!" Li Huangyu talked too fast.

"Calm down and sit." Ronglou pulled Huangyu to sit down.

"I need you on this. I want us to escape together, unless you want me to leave you here?" Ronglou lifted her brow.

"Miss! You can't leave Yu'er here! I vowed to follow Miss for all my life!" Huangyu proclaimed.

"Ay.ay.ay.. Then relax! I will bring you but you need to be quiet about this! Just follow my orders and I will bring you out with me, okay?"

"But.. Why does Miss want to escape? Didn't you love the Crown Prince? Weren't you always looking forward to get married and be his Crown Princess?"

Ronglou sighed. "Sometimes.. No matter how much you show them that you love them, it's just not enough. Since they weren't looking at you in the first place." A tear fell in her face.

There was really nothing to hate. She had love Fengxin wholeheartedly. He was a really nice man, good with his people. Ronglou accepted the fact that he could never be fully hers, since he was the Emperor. He was bound to have concubines, it was the law.

Although her father didn't like this law, he could never declined the Emperor's Imperial Order.

Getting married with him was by some sort of luck! It wasn't his choice either, it was only because of the prophecy.

"Miss." It was the first time that Huangyu saw her Miss tearing up. She had never showed any kind of weakness to anyone. Huangyu knew how much it must've hurt for her Miss, deciding to leave her family and the her heart to the Crown Prince.

"Okay. That's that. I need you to act like nothing happened tonight. We aren't bring anything else, but ourselves. Or else, my plan would not work. So go and rest, forget everything tonight." Ronglou pushed Huangyu out the room.

When Huangyu left, Ronglou's legs gave up on her. She sat on the floor, behind the door.

"Xu Fengxin..." She murmured as she silently cried her broken heart.
