Chapter 306 A Grueling Test

"Forefathers!", Zhan Chen exclaimed to himself while kneeling with others. He tried to take a good look at the five silhouttes but before he could do that, he felt an obstruction coming from the ancient formation.

"I have to be careful. These ancient sects are more formidable than what I have imagined", he thought to himself.

"Disciple Li Yan, go forward. The closer you go towards the forefathers, the better your evaluation will be", Nu Hao spoke.

Li Yan nodded her head and took a look at the forefathers of the Xuantian sect. She turned her head to have a glance at Zhan Chen before walking towards the indistinct silhouttes of the five forefathers.

Zhan Chen gave her an encouraging smile and watched her steps as she walked towards the five silhouttes. 'This test will be a difficult one for her', he thought to himself while watching the steps of Li Yan.

Li Yan came to a grinding halt as Zhan Chen had predicted. There was a look of discomfort on her face as she faced the five silhouttes.

She wanted to go forward but the aura coming from the five silhouttes wanted her to kneel once again. It was a kind of suppression force which was affecting her mind and soul.

Li Yan resisted the force and took a step towards the five silhouttes with a determined look on her face. The agony she was facing got incresed by manifold but she still walked forward despite being pressured. Beads of sweat came down from her forehead but she still didn't give up. Her feet continued to move despite the mountainous force she was feeling.

"What a tenacious girl!", Nu Hao thought to himself as a look of admiration appeared on his face. The other experts also had a look of admiration on their faces as they looked at Li Yan. It had been only few minutes yet Li Yan was struggling this much. This went to explain to the other girls, how difficult the test of the Xuantian sect was!

A female cultivator of the Xuantian sect came and removed Li Yan from the raised platform. Nu Hai looked towards Zhan Chen's group after Li Yan 's test was over.

"Senior, what happened to her? Is she going to be okay?", Li Shu asked with a worried look on her face.

"I am", this time Zi Ningxi volunteered to take the test. Nu Hao gave permission and she climbed the stairs to reach the raised platform.
