After some time, Dr. Liang asked with interest, "What do you want me to do? "

There was renewed vigor in him.

"Could you look after the hospital for me?" Dr. Liang will be assigned as the Dean of Medicine to oversee all aspects of clinical care while Ji Min will focus on corporate-related matters.

Dr. Liang motioned his head in agreement with her request. Of course, he will. He was fighting back the tears. After those people threatened and stripped him of his identity has a doctor, never in his wildest dreams did he imagine that he would return to work in the hospital.

"I already made the necessary arrangements. But first things first, you need a complete make-over." Luo Jingyi called her assistant. Song Hia will accompany Dr. Liang to get cleaned up and to go shopping.

"Thank you, Jingyi." The man expressed with heartfelt gratitude which Luo Jingyi returned with a simple nod of her head.

After sending the man with her assistant, Luo Jingyi returned to her office and called Ji Min. "He agreed. Song Hia will bring him to you before the day ends so prepare his contract. If he demands more, give it to him."

"Okay boss. Anyway, you sign the paychecks." Ji Min commented which earn a shrug of shoulders from Luo Jingyi before she ended the call.

The knock on the door halted Luo Jingyi's plan of grabbing an oatmeal bar.

"Come on in. "

"Hmm-hmm-" Dr. Feng cleared her throat and added, "Dr. Luo, this is for you." The woman placed the lunchbox on Luo Jingyi's table with shaking hands.

"Did someone order food for me?"

"No." she answered directing her eyes downwards, afraid to make eye contact with Luo Jingyi.

Luo Jingyi ignored her intern's fidgeting movements and look briefly to the label that reads, RAVEN'S GOURMET. Out of nowhere, she thought of the man who saved her. That's another task she needed to sort out before she leaves the city.

Returning her attention to Blue girl, she told the woman, "Thank you."

Blue girl aka Dr. Feng hurried out of the office before she gets scolded.

"Blue girl!" Luo Jingyi called out.

Dr. Feng paused and muttered, 'Oh no' in her head.

'Please... Don't let me be punished.' She prayed silently. Yesterday, Blue girl mixed up medications between two patients. She knew that she made a grave mistake and being sleepy was no excuse for it. She already received a scolding from Dr. Lin but she's more worried of Dr. Luo's anger. Blue girl swirled around with agitation.

"If I leave the hospital, would you like to follow me?"

Not expecting what Dr. Luo asked her, Blue girl was unable to speak as though her brain has frozen. It took a minute for her to realize she wasn't being reprimanded. The next second, Blue girl's eyes widened and verified if she heard it right because sometimes, it's easy to hallucinate when you are nervous.

"I don't understand what Dr. Luo meant."

Normally, Luo Jingyi doesn't like repeating words but she did when she made the proposition, "Would you like to go to Medlife with me?"

Blue Girl made sure she was all ears so the next moment she heard those words, she stifled the squeal that was about to escape her mouth. Of course, she will. She will follow Dr. Luo even to hell, as long as she gets to learn from her. She will be very stupid to let this opportunity pass. Blue girl heard rumors earlier that today was Dr. Luo's last day because she accepted a job offer at Medlife University and Medical Center, one of the top 5 hospitals in the country.

"I would love to, but my program—" Blue girl stopped.

Luo Jingyi waited for her to speak. But when the intern closed her mouth, she assured her, "I'll talk to your program director. Go home and get your things sorted out. My assistant will call you about our travel arrangements."

"Okay, Dr. Luo. " Blue girl walked out of the office and when she closed the door, she can no longer conceal her emotions. She was jumping up and down as she yelled, "yes" continuously.

"What are you doing? " one junior resident asked the exuberant Blue girl.

The latter wanted to brag but zipped her mouth.

"You can go home now Dr. Feng. Dr. Luo already told me about it." Dr. Lin was happy for her. She wanted to go to Medlife too but Dr. Luo told her something which she made her stay in this hospital.

Blue girl hurried to the on-call room and packed her things, making other interns wonder.

Meanwhile, Luo Jingyi opened the bag and found a note inside. It reads: Eat on time.

Luo Jingyi couldn't explain why she felt like someone was looking at her so she stepped closer to the window. When she looked down, a man waved and smiled which made Luo Jingyi frown.

What is he doing here? To collect what I owe? She wondered.

Ignoring him, Luo Jingyi returned to her table and stared blankly.

'Such a waste to be thrown away.'

She removed the lid and started eating, thankful that there's food from her favorite restaurant. But as she savored every bite, her face was contorted to an ugly expression.

"Did the restaurant change their chef? Why does food taste terrible?" The chicken dish was overcooked that there's no more juiciness in it. It was hard and barely palatable. Although she was reluctant to throw them away, in the end, she had no choice. Rather than poisoning herself.

If Yun Jinghan's people saw where the food their boss cooked for hours ended up, they won't be surprised. As they've been tortured to death by their young master's cooking already.

….

Unsated with what she ate, Luo Jingyi grabbed a protein bar.

"This is even better. I'll never go to that restaurant again." She murmured to herself.

While she was munching, Luo Jingyi studied the live feed of the OR schedule board on her computer. Unless there'll be no trauma patients that needed her utmost care, her schedule is lax. She has one scheduled coronary bypass surgery later in the day.

Since she has the time, she abruptly decided to clear the things inside her drawer and on the bookshelf instead of letting Song Hia do it. She sorted out which medical journal to keep and to throw, as she has amassed heaps during her 3 years stay at GM Gen. The menial task was therapeutic to her because it made her think and sort out her head. There are many things that bother her. But the most troublesome was Aunt Alice's persistence to send her for a blind date. Luo Jingyi was certain the woman won't stop till she got tied up. Although they aren't biologically related, Luo Jingyi was compelled to repay the gratitude of taking care of her during the bleakest moments of her life. Without Aunt Alice's care, she might have ended up like another cold body inside a morgue.

Her quiet reverie was disturbed when the door was pushed open and Ji Min sauntered in.
