Chapter 4: Yggdrasil II

I was traversing the dungeon of "Dreadfall Caverns." It took me a few hours to reach it and prepare for the raid.

Momonga: "This is going to be very difficult."

The dungeon's boss was level 90, while mine was 80.

Momonga: "This will be hard to accomplish."

I entered the cave, which was the entrance to the dungeon. nove(l)bi(n.)com

The cave emanated a faint glow as torches adorned the walls, providing light. The path leading deeper into the dungeon was narrow.

According to the information provided by the System, there were four areas where the undead of various kinds spawned, with each section protected by a level 85 guardian.

I kept traversing the path into the first area. It wasn't anything special, just an open space filled with various kinds of undead like Night Liches, Skeletal Dragons, Skeletal Wizards, etc. And it was guarded by a level 85 Skeletal Behemoth.

At an impressive height of 20 feet, the skeletal behemoth possessed a massive frame. Elongated horns adorned its skull, projecting a menacing presence. Its wide jaw had the power to deliver bone-crushing bites, while its heavily armored torso and sharp claws added to its formidable prowess in battle.

I buffed myself with various skills before entering the area. As soon as I entered the space, the undead sensed me and started to run toward me.

I took a stance and readied myself to attack the incoming horde of skeletons.

As they reached within striking range, I attacked with my fist, destroying a small portion of the horde. The "Quake Strike" was a skill from the Brawler class, causing damage in a small area around the player whenever they attacked with their fists. The damage dealt is 60% of your Physical Attack state.

I kept attacking the horde using different skills until it was completely wiped out. After its decimation, only the Skeletal Wizards and the Skeletal Behemoth remained in the area.

I moved toward the Skeletal Wizards by using one of the skills of the Martial King class known as "Shadow Step," which allows rapid movement toward the enemy and strikes them from unexpected angles catching them off guard.

I continued attacking them, but their spells didn't cause much damage. As I dealt with the wizards, the Skeletal Behemoth kept attacking.

"It seems to be a pure physical fighter."

After dealing with the wizards, I moved toward the behemoth using the "Shadow Step" skill and attacked it. It swung its tail and hit me in the stomach, making me fly back and hit the cave's wall.

[HP: 75 -> 55]

'Now, that's a lot of damage.'

I drank a healing potion and then moved toward the behemoth using the same skill. After the skill ended, I activated two of the Brawler class's most powerful skills:

'Iron Fist' and 'Fists of Fury.'

The first skill allows the player to ignore a portion of the enemy's defense, depending on its HP. The second skill allows the player to enter a berserker state, rapidly unleashing a flurry of punches and kicks for 40 seconds.

It took some time, but after a few minutes, I killed the behemoth.

~Time Skip~

I kept clearing the remaining areas of the dungeon. The first one had a Lich Lord capable of summoning massive hordes of undead. But, I dealt with him by using the skills of the Brawler and Martial King.

The second one had 4 Skeletal Giants. They were colossal beings, towering at a staggering height of 20 feet, and their bony frames exuded an intimidating presence, with massive arms and legs that seemed capable of crushing anything in their path.

After clearing the second area, I continued walking toward the boss's room. It didn't take me long before I reached it. It was a massive open area.

In the room, the Grave King, the boss of this dungeon, was present. It was a towering skeletal figure clad in ancient armor, wielding a massive scythe.

As I approached it, it got up from crouching and stared at me with its empty eyes. Without any indication, it attacked me with its scythe.

The scythe hit me and sent me flying back to the entrance.

[HP: 75 -> 45]

"Shit, he is strong."

I quickly drank a health potion and checked the state points I had.

[HP: 45 -> 50]

[HP: 50 -> 55]

..

[State Points: 15]

I increased my Physical Attack by 7 points and Agility by 8 points. Employing "Shadow Step," I swiftly closed the distance to the Grave King and delivered a blow with the aid of "Iron Fist."

..

I used all the available levels to level up the Celestial Brawler class and use the state points to enhance my Physical Attack.

[Celestial Brawler(Level 0 -> Level 3)]

[Physical Attack: 74 -> 84]

I chose the Celestial Brawler class for two reasons. Firstly, it grants me a 60% increase in stat points with each level I gain. I want more state points to increase my Physical Attack to exceed 100 points, which will be important when I get transported to the new world.

Secondly, are the skills I get from this class. At the max level of 5, I will get a powerful skill, allowing me to one-shot anyone if specific conditions are met.

I left the city and started traveling toward the center of Helheim.

"Time to get the second class."

~Time Skip~

Momonga was standing in a dimly lit room inside a destroyed tomb. The name of this desolate place was "Crypt Tomb," situated at the heart of Helheim.

To acquire the Martial Oracle class, Momonga needed to defeat the boss of the Crypt Tomb, a unique type of Crypt Lord whose level was above 90.

Generally, Crypt Lord was a level 60 to 70 undead, but the boss of this tomb was unique. The condition to get the class was to defeat it without taking a single digit of damage.

'I had to try several times before I got the job class. Now, the only thing left is to get the new racial class.'

I looked toward my left hand, where I wore the World Item Ouroboros.

It was in the shape of a ring that had a slender band with ancient runes, an emerald gemstone, and a coiling serpent design.

[Do you want to use World Item 'Ouroboros'? [Y] [N]]

I chose [Y], and the ring on my finger disappeared. After a short while, I heard a voice in my head.

???: "Player Momonga, how are you doing today?"

Momonga: "Pretty good; how about you?"

???: "I am doing fine. Congratulations on being the first player to find the World Item 'Ouroboros.' Now what is it that; you want? But; please do keep in mind; you cannot request an item or change that will affect the game's balance."

Momonga: "I understand. And don't worry; I don't want an item or something. I want a racial class for myself; that enables Doppelgangers to display 100% strength of any character builds; I choose to create."

I had to wait a bit before the dev got back to me.

???: "That is doable, but we'll balance it by making leveling up racial classes require double the experience. Is that okay with you?"

Alex: "Yup, no problems."

???: "Okay. So, what do you want to call this new class?"

Alex: "Call it Doppelgangers' Progenitor."

???: "Done. You should receive your new class in a few minutes. Have a good day."

Momonga: "You too, and thanks for the assistance."

After saying this, the dev ended the communication with me. After waiting for a few minutes, I saw a notification.

[You have received a new Racial Class 'Doppelgangers' Progenitor.']

I smirked, seeing the notification.

Momonga: 'I have already maxed out the Combat Oracle class and only need to level up the new racial class. I should start thinking about the next character build.'

~Scene Change~

Momonga was fighting with a level 100 Doom Lord in a barren forest. It had been a few days since he got his new racial class, and he was killing high-level undead and demons to level up to 100.

Momonga: 'Iron Fist!'

I punched the Doom Lord using the skill, and it disappeared into motes of light and dropped some loot like Data Crystals.

[Congratulation for Defeating a level 100 Doom Lord! You have received 50,000 EXP]

[Congragulation for Leveling Up.]

[13 State Points have been awarded.]

I quickly increased the level of my new racial class to 5 and increased my Physical Attack by putting all my State Points into it.

[Doppelgangers' Progenitor'(Level 4 -> Level 5)]

[Physical Attack: 92 -> 104 (Exceed Limit)]

'Finally!'

I finally reached Level 100. I've already planned the next character build I'd like to make. And I want the new character to be centered on magic.
