Chapter 264: What Are You Looking At?

Chapter 264: What Are You Looking At?

"Everyone stop. You can't live even if you kill the old lady." Dok-ja's voice was surprisingly clear due to the temporary silence after the explosion. One by one, people started looking at him since his words caught their attention.

"Let's say you kill the grandmother. What next?" Their surprised faces looked good, seeing this Dok-ja decided to tell them a bit more.

"Ah..."

"If what the Dokkaebi says is true, you each have to kill one thing. So, who will you kill after the grandmother? Will you kill the person next to you?" The people started panic even more after this they looked around warily.

"There is no need to gamble like that. There is a way for you to survive, even if you don't become a killer." Dok-ja said the words that caught everyone's attention.

"What?"

"W-What is it?"

The people became greatly agitated.

"Have you forgotten? The scenario clear condition wasn't to 'kill a person'."

Some people noticed it, 'Creatures,' they looked in Dok-ja's hands there was insect box with grasshoppers, locusts jumping around.

"Insects," Someone shouted seemingly catching on.

"Give me one,"

"I just need one,"

Seeing the people rush towards him Dok-ja spoke.

"If you want it, Keep it," And threw the box before smashing a grasshopper in his hand.

"Damn you bastard,"

"Ah, I found one, Ack,"

The carriage was in full chaos people fighting each other trying to get their hands on the insects so that they pass the scenario without killing someone.

"...th...an.." Haru looked towards the old woman who trying to thank him.

"I don't really deserve a thank you since I can't do much after this," Haru said and the old woman nodded with a sad smile.

"Haru I found one," Haru looked back and Queresha came to him with a grasshopper in her hand.

"This one has eggs inside," Queresha handed the grasshopper to Haru.

"Did you find one?" Haru asked since he didn't see one in her hand.

"I was about to," Queresha said and Haru face palmed.

'Why are you here if you don't have one for yourself? But that is pretty normal for her,' This was going through his mind at the moment.

"You said this one had eggs right? Can you take them out?" Haru asked while Queresha nodded then took the grasshopper taking out the eggs handing them to him. L1tLagoon witnessed the first publication of this chapter on Ñøv€l--B1n.

There were about 30 eggs it looked like this one in the middle of laying eggs.

Haru broke one egg and...

Haru looked at the notifications in front of him while sitting on the seat with Queresha arriving beside him and sat down on the seat next to him.

Haru saw Dok-ja looking at the window wiping his face as suddenly the train started to move.

Soon, light flooded in, and darkness was lifted from the windows. They had arrived at the surface ground section of Line 3 between Apgujeong and Oksu.

Outside the window, the Han River and Seoul were revealed.

"Ahh." Someone let out a sigh. It was a moan which contained deep relief that they survived.

However, it didn't take long for the meaning of that sigh to change from relieve to fear. The landscape outside the window was no longer the Seoul that they knew.

Smoke and dust rose from the ruined city.

The Han River bridges had collapsed. The Han River itself was red with the bodies of soldiers, while among the fallen buildings, a monster was trampling on a K1 tank like it was a toy.

[Main Scenario #1 – Proof of Value has ended.]

[300 coins have been acquired as a basic clearance reward.]

[100 coins have been reduced for the channel usage fee.]

[Additional compensation settlement will begin.]

'One world was destroyed, and a new world was born.... And I was the only reader who knew the ending of this world.' Dok-ja thought looking outside the window.

The train stopped halfway through the Dong-ho Bridge and some of the survivors stood up to see outside the window.

"O-Oh my god," Myung-oh gasped at the site of the now ruined Seoul with snake-like monsters eating through the wreckage of a fighter jet that had crashed into the Han river.

"It is coming this way," Myung-oh shrieked like a girl as one of the snake-like monsters looked toward the train.

'They won't attack us, in Ways of survival the scenarios take precedent over everything, as long as we are protected by the scenarios we won't have to face them, At least for now,' Dok-ja thought with an apathetic face as he turned to walk towards Haru who was sitting with Queresha.

"Haru-ssi, are you ok?" Dok-ja asked.

"I am fine, there is nothing to worry," Haru said with a small smile as he looked behind Dok-ja.

'He is definitely shaken, anyone would but Haru-ssi is a kind person so it would be harder for him seeing people die like this,' Dok-ja looked back at the bodies on the floor even though they died because of their own faults Haru would feel responsible for two people.

But Dok-ja thought Haru was quick-witted with how he distracted others so that he could get the insect box before the others pounced on the old lady and the plus point was the latter's strength was also something since he was able to knock out Nam-woon who could use his skills easily.

Dok-ja turned his head and looked at Nam-woon.

"What are you looking at?" Nam-Woon spat in anger making Dok-ja jump back.
