Chapter 28: What Do You Think?

Chapter 28: What Do You Think?

Tokyo, Japan.

On the roof of the headquarters of the Draw Sword guild, two women are standing next to each other.

"So you are coming for this raid?" the young woman on the right with light brown eyes and light orange-brown hair that she wore in two buns. Asked in shock because she thought that the person in question wouldn't agree to it because of her stubborn personality.

"Even though I disagree with them I have to do my job of clearing the monsters so that more lives aren't lost. And I have gut feeling Akari." The young woman on the left with long black hair, blood-red eyes, purple lipstick, and black fingernails. Wearing a loose off shoulder magenta top with baggy black pants.

"What a gut feeling? What is it?" Akari was confused when she heard her say this.

"I don't know. But we'll know when we go there. I just feel this raid isn't going to be simple." When she said that she can feel Akari looking at her weirdly. Which caused her short temper to flare up.

"Do you think I am bullshitting here?" she swung her hand to slap Akari on the back of her head.

"Ouch, I never said that. You hit me so hard. Now I have to use healing magic on myself. You better pay for this." Akari said as she rubbed the back of her head and used healing magic to ease the pain.

".....You still aren't over it," Kanae asked in a low voice which caused Akari to stiffen and she lowered her head. Just when she was about to answer. They heard a loud voice from behind them.

They turned and saw a muscular young man with sharp brown hair and numerous scars on his upper body, the most distinctive one being the large cross-shaped scar along the right side of his face. In his first appearance, he wore a simple gray muscle shirt. With a cast on his right hand. His name is Tanaka Kenzo and he is one of the 11 S-Ranks of the draw sword guild.

"You two were here we have been searching for you all over the place. We have to go to Korea tomorrow. I hope there are strong opponents.... " his loud voice gradually calmed down when he saw Akari looking down. Then he said,

"Akari is your father bothering you again?" the anger in his voice was apparent which caused Akari to come out of her daze.

"NO, NO he isn't after you beat him up the last time. And why are you hurt again." Akari said in a cheerful voice again.

"Ahh, I got hurt while training." He said waving his hand. This chapter was first shared on the Ñøv€lß1n platform.

"Do you want me to heal you? You'll have to pay of course." Akari said with a playful smile.

"You are so greedy, don't you have enough," Kenzo said with a sad smile as he knew why she was so fixated on making money.

"I never said it has to be money." She said with a teasing smile which caused Kenzo to tilt his head as he didn't understand.

And Akari became upset again, Kanae just shook her head.

"Did you hear Korea has 3 new S-ranks now? We are going to have a briefing about it today, and those 3 are related to each other." Kenzo said no realizing what he had done.

"Ah now that you talk about it. It was the one that caused so much trouble in Japan. And the three of them are related." Akari was shocked when she heard this just having 1 S-rank was extremely rare but to have 3 in one family is something unheard of.

After that, they went towards the meeting room for the briefing as they have to leave for Korea in 5 hours.

Back to M.C

Well, 6 days have passed since aunt came back home. Jin-ah and Hae-in have been acting weirdly around me I can feel they are confused about something but when I ask they just run away.

Sigh*

"Why are you sighing like an old man?" Jin-woo said from the sofa in front of me.

"I wish I could be carefree as you," I said to him.

"Why do I feel like you are insulting me?" he said while looking at me.

"It's a compliment," I said while waving my hand. Which caused him to narrow his eyes.

"So are you going to participate in the raid?" I asked him.

"I don't know I feel like I grew too distant from my family so I want to spend more time with them." He said while looking at me.

"Then the upcoming Jeju raid will be a good opportunity," Laura said.

"I don't mind going if they handle my fees of course." He said with a toothy grin.

Laura shook her head and went away as she had some work to do.

.....

Back to M.C

I am currently running, why you ask because I am late.

Yes, I am late for the meeting between the Japanese and Korean hunters.

I overslept today because I was helping Jin-woo with his problem.

And he left without even telling me. I'll get back at him for this.

I thought as I reached the association and felt the 2 hunters inside were fighting.

On my way towards the Gymnasium, I met Guildmaster Choi who was smoking.

"Ah, look who arrived. Seriously kids these days" He said to me while smiling teasing.

"I didn't know you were that old, Master Choi." When I said that I can see veins on his forehead.

"Bastard I'm still young." He shouted as threw his cigarette.

"Come on let's go inside. why are you smoking outside? You'll miss something interesting if stand here." I told him while walking inside.

"Really." He said as he walked beside me.

I just nodded.

When we reached the spectator area I saw Jin-woo and Chairman Go standing and watching the match between Ma Dong-Wook and Baek Yoon-ho. Then Chairman go looked at me and said.

"Did something happen you came late?" Jin-woo was smirking beside him.

"I was helping a grandma crossing the road.," I said and they all looked at me like.

'You expect us to believe that.'

"Did I miss something?" I asked as Chairman Go he chuckled a bit and said

"Nothing. They just started." I nodded then walked near them and looked at the match I can feel many gazes on me. I looked at Hae-in and waved.

She waved back with a blushing face which didn't escape the eyes of people beside me.

COUGH*

Chairman Go just coughed.

Jin-woo was angry.

"OHO." And Master Choi was laughing looking at Hae-in.

Hmmm, I can sense the gaze from the Japanese side, curiosity being more prominent but...

Hostility, I turned my head towards the source and saw the person in question. But my gaze only lingered on him for a second.

'Weak.' That is all I thought as I looked away which caused the hostility to increase but I didn't care about it and continued watching the match.
