Chapter 273 273: Bellmond Valley (2)

Some Spirit Plants could be harvested just by gently pulling them from the roots while others require a more complicated procedure

As for the Bellmond Flower, as it is a common Spirit Plant, it is something that could be easily harvested as long as one was gentle enough and didn't damage any part of it

The Bellmond Flowers contained five pointy purple petals and since only the flowers are needed, Rezen used a bit of mana to cleanly slice the flowers from the stems

Since these flowers are common, they won't net Rezen a lot of money and after harvesting several of them, he gathered mana at his feet to head deeper into the valley

While his physique is not comparable to Body Mages, he could still do the things that they usually do such as using the mana on their feet to increase their speed

This area is still close to the entrance and there might be hidden mages that could see what he was doing. If they saw him trying to smuggle the resources, that would be bad

Along the way, Rezen encountered more flowers. His path was filled with these flowers but most of them are just normal flowers and he ignored them

Even when he encountered Bellmond Flowers if they are low-cycle Spirit Plants, he would also ignore them

Every time a forager entered the resource points, they only had 24 hours before they need to return. If Rezen wants to make these 24 hours worth it, he has to find more precious and rarer resources, preferably those that are useful to him

Seems like his luck is not bad today as it didn't take that long for him to discover a special Spirit Plant amongst the sea of flowers around him

"Detecting Fortune Aura!" Ivy notified Rezen and his feet immediately came to a halt

"Fortune aura?" Rezen muttered. He never plundered anyone's fortune aura before and while he knew that fortune aura is useful, he still hasn't experienced using it

Now that there is a chance for him to steal others' fortune aura, Rezen wanted to succeed if he could

"Where?" Rezen asked and in his vision, the blue screen portrayed a flower or more like a green bud. The flower still hasn't blossomed and was still a bud

"A Spirit Plant heavens' blessed?" Rezen was a bit surprised but thinking of it, no matter what your race is, you could become a heavens' blessed

Fortune aura is not exclusive to humans or magic beasts, Spirit Plants, demihumans, and other races could also become a heavens' blessed. The heavens don't discriminate and it is not that surprising to discover a Spirit Plant that has a fortune aura

Now that Rezen thinks of it, it was actually better if the owner of the fortune aura is a Spirit Plant

Not all Spirit Plants have the ability to attack. In fact, such Spirit Plants are on the rarer side

Since fortune aura does not directly make an entity strong, if a Spirit Plant was born with no ability to attack, that might last throughout its entire lifetime

Fortune aura simply makes an entity lucky and aids them to achieve something greater. It still works logically and realistically

It was logical that if Rezen tries to harm someone, that someone will discover him easily or Rezen would encounter some unlucky things that would prevent him from harming that person

However, it was not logical and realistic that his target that is initially only at the apprentice rank suddenly broke through and became a Great Mage

That's not the target being lucky anymore, that's a straight-up miracle!

Since most Spirit Plants can't attack anyone and their fortune aura most of the time only aids them in evolving into a rare treasure, it should be safer to plunder their fortune aura compared to humans or magic beasts

In excitement, Rezen started approaching the Spirit Plant which is a heavens' blessed but after a few steps, he frowned

"Ivy, although fortune aura can't directly deal with me, it still can do so indirectly. What if while trying to approach the heavens' blessed, a magic beast appears and attacks me?" Rezen asked

While the Spirit Plant itself doesn't have any attacking ability, it doesn't mean that it was 100% safe to plunder it

The Spirit Plant wouldn't or more like couldn't attack Rezen but with the influence of its fortune aura, Rezen might become a rare casualty amongst the foragers. He doesn't want to become another statistic!

"Master should try focusing on your connection with the farm and utilize its aura" Ivy answered as if it already expected Rezen's question

While Rezen is not the smartest human, his experiences and also the novels he read still made his mind sharper. He could guess many things thanks to them

Fully trusting Ivy, Rezen closed his eyes while trying to sense his farm. Since he really has a mystical connection with the farm, it was easy for him to utilize its aura the moment he tried to

A green aura that only Rezen could see suddenly covered his body and while it doesn't do anything to make him stronger, his instincts were telling him that the aura is not as simple as it looks

"The farm's aura could help Master escape the universe's plausibility to an extent. It means that Master will be outside of its influence to a small extent. As Master and the farm grew, the more Master could escape plausibility and not be affected by the luck that the heavens' blessed and realm's chosen have. Depending on how strong the fortune aura, Master could fully null its effect or mitigate it to a small extent"

"The heavens' blessed that Master discovers have a weak fortune aura and the farm could mitigate the fortune's effect to a great extent. Even if Master were to encounter danger, it shouldn't be too life-threatening"

With Ivy's explanation, Rezen heaved a sigh of relief. Thanks to the aura of the farm, he shouldn't encounter any grave danger

However, this also made Rezen think that it seemed like he was learning more and more high-leveled information. To think that the farm even includes this kind of ability

If this is the farm that was left behind as a legacy of the creator for the inheritor to avenge it, just how strong the creator was and just how strong the enemies they faced to fall?

Rezen shuddered just by thinking about it but he threw the matter at the back of his head for now. He is still too weak and no matter how high-level the information that he learned, he couldn't possibly do anything about it

As such, he continue approaching the heaven's blessed Spirit Plant but he now had a taste of the plausibility's effect

Before Rezen could reach the Spirit Plant, he noticed the presence of other people

He immediately turned his head back to see fellow foragers. It's not like Rezen is the only forager in the Bellmond Valley and it was possible to run into other foragers

"Hey, you, come here!"

There were two foragers that saw Rezen. One man and one woman. The man spoke with a rude tone to Rezen but as a puny 1st cycle Junior Mage, what can he even do?

Rezen gritted his teeth as he approached these people that didn't do anything to hide their aura. As such, Rezen is aware that he was not their match

"Give your spatial pouch to us!" The man ordered as soon as Rezen stood in front of him

"My spatial pouch?" Rezen muttered and he realized what these people wanted. They want to steal the resources he harvested!

While the aura of the farm mitigates most of the plausibility's effects, it didn't fully nullify it

As such, although Rezen was not attacked by a magic beast, what he encountered are fellow humans that wanted to seize his resources

"Are you not afraid of the people managing the Bellmond Valley? I will report you" Rezen tried to intimidate them

They might just be trying to scare him and if he was a fool, he would be scammed by them

However, the two foragers only looked at each other before laughing

"Hahaha! Afraid! Of course, we are afraid!"

"However, being afraid doesn't mean we can't do anything!

The two said before smiling sinisterly at Rezen

"Sure, we wouldn't 'force' you to hand your resources to us and you are safe inside the valley since the Flower of Protection will notify the authorities if we attacked you. But what happens outside?"

"Let me tell you now, we can be quite petty. We can harbor resentments easily and if you don't give us your resources, who knew what would happen to you outside of the valley?"

Upon hearing that, Rezen almost exploded in anger. If he was not more mature now, he might have attacked them already

The thing he hates the most is being helpless in front of the strong
