"Arrghh..." Rezen slowly stirred from his sleep as he released a pained groan. His consciousness was starting to wake up and along with it was his brain receiving the signals of pain all over his body

He painfully and slowly moved his body while trying to open his eyes. The first thing he had seen was the ceiling above him that looks like it was made from mud

He squinted his eyes before moving his head around him to see that he was actually lying down on a bed of grass. No, it wasn't even a real bed. It was merely a space filled with dry grass that acts as a cushion

Rezen's memories slowly returned to him and he remembered what happened before he lose consciousness

His eyes narrowed as he sensed his surroundings. He can't quite describe it but his surroundings feel... it feels different

The very basic difference was the amount of mana in the surroundings. It was way higher compared to the earth realm

It was to the point that Rezen could clearly feel the movement of mana even without him trying so hard

It was like he was previously in a place that has little to no moisture in the air and he suddenly entered a place with rain

Even without him consciously spreading his senses to his surroundings, he could still sense the lively mana particles in the air

It made him feel like he was a fish finally returning to the water. It felt so good as if all of his exhaustion was being washed away

Aside from the difference in the quantity of mana, there was also a big difference in the quality

"This... I feel like I removed a shackle on my body... cough! Cough!"

While the environment is way better compared to the earth realm, Rezen is still injured and can't help but cough. Planar travel, while he was still an apprentice mage definitely, is not easy

It was a miracle that he is still alive and kicking right now

Rezen calmed himself and stared at the rough beast skin covering his private area. Just with the clothes used to dress him and his surroundings, he is aware that this place or possibly this realm was backward compared to the earth realm in terms of technological advancements

"Ivy..." Rezen called out and the voice of Ivy entered his head directly

"Master"

"How is the farm?" He asks

Rezen remembered that the farm was constantly being crushed while traveling. His farm is his lifeline and he naturally has to take care of it

"Master, the farm is currently unusable. The farm would need a hundred million low-grade mana stones, or ninety million mid-grade mana stones, or resources with the equivalent amount of mana quantity and quality" Ivy faithfully answered

"Low-grade? Mid-grade?"

On earth, mana stones are mana stones. There were no low or mid-grade ones.

It seems like there really were many differences between the earth realm and the rest of the universe

While thinking of it, Rezen closes his eyes and his consciousness entered his farm located inside his elixir field

The original farm that has a hundred meters in diameter is now only a measly land with less than ten meters in diameter

The farmland has cracks and strange energies constantly flashing on it. The once fertile soil is now so dry that it looks like it lacks even a drop of water

Even without Ivy saying it, Rezen doubts that he could even plant anything on his farm right now

However, he was more mature now than before. He knew that whining wouldn't do him any good and that it was better to focus on making a plan to recover his farm

"How about magic? Could I use magic?" Rezen asks while staring at the mystic gems that fused with his farm

"Mystic Gems are only usable on the earth realm. They contain tiny specks of the power of laws and are beneficial to the farm but Master cannot use them outside the earth realm. If master wants to use magic, a Resonance Gem is required"

"However, Master is still affected by the laws of the earth realm. As such, Master cannot use magic or Resonance Gem in the meantime. It is advisable that Master should take caution and hide in safety until Master can use magic again"

This is a piece of bad news to Rezen. Without magic, how could he possibly keep his life?

The earth realm which is already considered a peaceful realm is already full of dangers what more for this realm that seems to be backward?

Even without going outside, Rezen could already imagine the scene of gigantic magic beasts rampaging on the lands

After all, humans developed their territories in a way that no magic beasts live inside the cities. However, would the same thing be possible in this type of place? Rezen doubt that

"You and whoever the source of the farm has your own goal and so do I. Tell me what I could do in the meantime to survive until I have access to magic again" Rezen said

From his previous conversation with Ivy, he already learned that the farm is not a free gift. The creator wants him to do something in the future in return for his 'cheat'

It might be revenge, world domination, or whatever. If Rezen has to do those things then he would do so but now that he is still extremely weak, he has to find ways so that he could survive

"Ivy has a database, albeit an incomplete one. The database could help master identify various things, especially spirit plants, and how to utilize them. There are many spirit plants that once processed or used together with other spirit plants, would have the same effect as magic spells"

Rezen sighed in relief at that. He would at least have something he could rely on in times of danger and it sounds like he would be using the art of alchemy

However, whether it be alchemy or magic, Rezen is willing to utilize everything to survive

"Oh, you're awake"

Along with the sound of feet stepping on grass was the voice of a woman. When Rezen turned to look at the source, he saw someone that might only be a few years older than him

It doesn't take a genius to realize that this person was the one that helped and saved Rezen

Back on the earth realm, Rezen could be cold and emotionless but that is because he has the means and capacity to do so

But to do so in this world where he has nothing to rely on... that is a stupid thing

After months, only now did a smile found its way into Rezen's face. Since his parents died, his heart hardened and he became cold

"Hello, sister. Are you the one that saved me?" Rezen asks with a harmless smile. Even though he was not an actor, he was still able to play the role of bright and sunny child

Rezen believed that no matter what the world is, a sunny person would be liked better than a gloomy person

He neither has his magic nor spirit plants, for now, he would need this person to protect him and leaving a good impression is a must

"Yes, it was me and my group. How are you feeling? Does it hurt anywhere? Do you want me to contact your parents or relatives?"

While speaking the last sentence, Rezen noticed his savior rubbing her palm together with her eyes glowing with greed

The woman didn't even try to hide it or she thinks that there was no reason to do so and that made Rezen have some doubts

He had to thread things carefully if he wants to survive

"Parents?" Rezen muttered while tilting his head to the side as if he was confused

"Yes, parents. Are they part of Sawtooth Tiger Tribe? Or maybe the Flint Stone tribe? The Swift Cat Tribe?"

While speaking the names of those tribes, Rezen can sensed a hint of admiration and also envy from his savior

'Are those tribes the one that's considered the superpowers here?' Rezen thought in his head but he didn't let his thoughts reflect on his face

Based on how his savior acted, it seems like those tribes are the strong tribes with the most numbers of experts. The kind of tribe that people on this world desire to be part of

'Ahh... those eyes. She thinks that I have some strong backing or something' Rezen soon realizes this

In a world where power could literally flatten an entire mountain and drain the seas, everyone would aspire to be part of the stronger and strongest groups for the sake of survival and quality life

Even Rezen would have the same kind of mindset!
