“Young Master, you mean…” Dominant Sky said and Claude nodded his head

“He’s a traitor, a member of the Twighlight Beasts” Claude replied and Dominant Sky’s countenance immediately turned unfriendly

That was a close call! Against someone like General Leon, even the monstrously talented Claude wouldn’t win

“But Young Master, why is he unconscious?” She can’t help but ask and Claude shook his head

“Don’t dwell on this matter” Claude said as he winked at Rezen that almost blushed from head to toe

Since Rezen is ‘unwilling’ to say what or where he got that apple, Claude would help him hide this secret

“For now, we must extract the information from him but we can’t just hand him to the military. Who knows if there was another traitor” Claude continued

If even a General that is the most authoritative in the ‘secular’ world can be a traitor, what more for the others?

Dominant Sky merely nodded her head at that, intent on supporting Claude’s decision while still ignoring Rezen’s presence

This is what 6st fusion rank mages are. They are in such a high position that they practically ignored ‘ants’ like Rezen

Not everyone is similar to Florine that is still very much down to earth

“I’ll leave you here first!” Rezen said as he went to his subordinates that were still unconscious and he carried them one by one inside the Mushroom Home before giving them recovery pills

It was great that Leon didn’t kill them. If not, Rezen would be really heartbroken

“Master…”

“I was useless…”

“How can I be so weak?”

“We failed you, master”

“Please punish us!”

As soon as the artificial humans regained their consciousness, all of them immediately apologizes while filled with self-blame

They weren’t able to do anything before Leon knocked them unconscious. This is a great humiliation and sin for these people that put Rezen’s well-being as the most essential thing in their life

“It’s fine, it’s fine. It’s not your fault” Rezen said while waving his hand

Even if he did try to fight Leon, he would definitely do worst compared to his subordinates. He was after all still weaker than them

Knock knock

The Mushroom Homes also have doors as their feature and someone was knocking on it

Since there were only two people on Rezen’s farm, the one that was knocking can only either be Claude or that Dominant Sky

With the expectation that Claude would simply say his good bye, Rezen opened the door of the Mushroom Home and the first thing that he saw was the void storage ring that Claude was holding

“Eh?”

“T-this… this is just a bit of compensation for saving my life. Bye” Claude said before stuffing the ring on Rezen’s palm and running away. It seems like he was still embarrassed by what happened earlier

Perhaps, Rezen’s words made him feel poor

Rezen can’t even say goodbye since Claude ran away too fast and he can only check the ring’s contents which made his eyes lit up

Mana stones! It was filled with mana stones! There were ten million of them!

This is the largest amount of money that Rezen ever had in his entire life!

Even all the previous money that he got a hold of combined is still only about half as this one!

“What a great sugar daddy!” Rezen muttered while licking his lips

To think that he would actually receive this many mana stones… did Claude borrow some from that Dominant Sky?

“Hehehehe…” Rezen can’t help but laugh goofily

Rich! He was rich again!

If a million mana stones let him obtain great treasures, what more if he uses ten million?

Rezen can’t fight his curiosity and he immediately had the system absorb all ten million mana stones

[Ding! Absorbing mana stones x10,000,000. Does the Host want to upgrade the farm (+20%), receive Mysterious Peach Tree seed x1, or 480,000 lottery tickets and 520,000 blessing points?]

Rezen doesn’t even have to think anymore. The choice was pretty obvious, he should go for the mysterious peach seed!

If he has the seed, he could eat as many mysterious peaches as he needed! His rate of progression would definitely skyrocket!

“System, I choose the mysterious peach tree seed!” Rezen replied excitedly and soon, the seed appeared in thin air

The seed looks like any other peach seed aside from the fact that it was glowing with colorful lights. Also, it gave people an impression that just by looking at the peach, they would receive some sort of enlightenment

It’s like the laws of the world itself materializes in the form of this seed

Mystic gems themselves were akin to the materialization of natural laws but they don’t give off the same feeling as this seed does

Without even bothering to grab his hoe, Rezen created a hole on his farm plot with bare hands before placing the seed inside and covering it with soil

After that, he checked the seed’s price in the system shop but once again, his dream has been shattered

On the shop list where the mysterious peach seed can be seen, it has the number “1/1” written on it. This means Rezen can only have one peach seed!

“System, does this mean that I can only buy another seed once the one I planted matured?” Rezen asks

[The Mysterious Peach Tree Seed is not one-time use. The tree wouldn’t vanish after the peach/peaches were harvested. The Tree could constantly reproduce mysterious peaches, the quantity and quality are random with the low ranking ones having the highest rate] the system replied

Rezen can only pout his lips. He already knew that not everything will go according to his plan

He thought that he can buy as many seeds as he wanted but that is not the case

The only good thing is that he doesn’t have to use more mana stones to constantly buy seeds since this one tree could constantly reproduce

He can only hope that the maturity rate and the number of peaches he could harvest would be satisfactory

——

“Boss, we found another flock of Wind Sparrows. There’s around 2,000 of them” one of Crafty Snake’s subordinates reported

Yesterday, they spent a lot of money to buy the incense that made a flock of a thousand Wind Sparrows berserk

They thought that they would be able to harvest a lot of corpses but they all failed. They only got around a hundred or so as there was a thief that stole the corpses that were rightfully theirs

Right now, they planned on enacting the same plan with a simple modification. Instead of hiding far from the battlefield, they would stay close to where the sparrows would fight

This was to prevent another thief from stealing what is theirs

The incense is by no means cheap and Crafty Snake would definitely be bankrupt for nothing if they don’t get a lot of corpses today

“Good, good. Have you also surveyed the surroundings? Were there other people besides us?” Crafty Snake asks since they can’t afford to be a victim of the thief again

“Boss, there aren’t other hunters nearby” the subordinate replied

Since Greenwood City is surrounded by forest and mountains, the mages hunting for magic beasts don’t need to fight each other

There are many places to hunt and there is also an abundant number of prey

It’s just that, sometimes, the hunter can also become the hunted

“Good, we would all hide our presence and let the sparrows kill each other. No one will make any loud sound or move rashly. Do you understand?” Crafty Snake said to his subordinates in a stern manner and all of them nodded their heads

With that, Crafty Snake took out the incense as their group went to where the wind sparrows were living

Their living area was on the part of this particular mountain that has tall but very thin trees. They were scattered in the trees with many of them just idling around

“All of you, move away first. Tenon, use the concealing spell as soon as I threw the incense” Crafty Snake ordered and all of his subordinates listened as they knew that they cannot make any mistake or it might cost them their lives

Against a thousand wind sparrows, how can their little team survive? They would definitely be surrounded by the sparrows to death

Crafty Snake lit the incense and he didn’t waste any time as he casts a spell

“[Breeze!]”

The winds carried the incense to where the sparrows were living and as soon as Crafty Snake threw it, his subordinate immediately cast his own spell as the two of them laid down the ground

“[Ground Camouflage!]”

The subordinate created two magic circles at once, one for him and one for Crafty Snake

Their figures immediately blended in with the ground. Although there was a protruding and elevated part of the ground since the spell is still low-level, their bodies at least were concealed

Once the sparrows went berserk, would they even care about the abnormalities on the ground?
