Chapter 236 Red Eyed Rabbits

"Well, let's get going. There's no point waiting here," Yuan said to Lily.

"Let's continue our journey then. We have to get out of this forest before the sun goes down," Lily immediately took control of the horses, and the carriage began moving forward. Soon, the carriage picked up an incredible speed.

As the carriage surged ahead through the forest, teeming with dangerous monsters, they encountered numerous threats. Yuan dispatched each one with precise strikes of his massive sword.

If any monster came into their view, Yuan would swiftly leap from the carriage. With a single powerful swing, he ended the creature's life. After collecting proof of the subjugation and any valuable parts, he'd return to the carriage and resume the journey.

Every monster met its end before it could even react, leaving them no chance to comprehend their fate.

The relentless procession of monsters continued, but not a single one was spared by Yuan's blade.

At this juncture, Yuan had taken down over 140 monsters since entering the forest. Additionally, he had gained more than 400 SP, a reward from the system for his relentless combat. Without the SP, Yuan would have bypassed these creatures, knowing it would save considerable amount of his time.

"I'm really surprised by the number of monsters we've encountered so far. I'm taking down each one we come across. But there seems to be no end, they just keep coming at us," Yuan mumbled, his voice low, his surprise evident.

"This forest is incredibly dense, and the monster population is overwhelming. It's no wonder Hunters charge a premium for guiding through here. No sane hunter would risk their life for a small sum of money," Ava observed, her eyes scanning the towering trees that choked out most of the sunlight. The forest looked treacherous from just a glance.

"That makes sense," Yuan exclaimed, inspecting the stains of monster blood on his clothes. He then used his Qi to cleanse it, but a faint red hue still lingered.

Sometimes later, they encountered another group of small Red Eyed Rabbits. Seeing them, Ava's eyes lit up.

"Look! Look! It's a small group of Red Eyed Rabbits. Their meat is superbly delicious, and it fetches a sky-high price," she exclaimed.

"Hmmm... Delicious meat?" Xi Meili's eyes gleamed, a drool escaping her lips. "Hubby, I want to eat rabbit meat today. They look super delicious to me."

"Alright, we'll have these rabbits for dinner tonight," Yuan patted Xi Meili's head gently, a smile gracing his face. "Just wait for me here, I'll bring them here quickly."n..o--v--e-.l))B-)1--n

"Yay!" Xi Meili's lips curled into a huge smile upon hearing her husband's response.

Anna and the others couldn't help but smile at Xi Meili's childlike enthusiasm, finding it quite amusing.

'She still acts like a child. Well, she is basically a child after all, if it weren't for her developed body,' Anna thought, a gentle smile on her face as she looked at Xi Meili.

Yuan quickly left the carriage and observed the Red Eyed Rabbits carefully. He knew a little about them from the memories he received, so it wasn't strange that he decided to assess them before attacking.

From what Yuan remembered, the Red Eyed Rabbits had keen senses and were adept at dodging attacks due to their long and strong hind legs, which aided in their quick escapes.

"Yes..." Yuan exclaimed with a small smile, then swiftly dashed towards the group of rabbits with incredible speed.

Yuan's movement was so rapid that Rose, Julie, and Ava couldn't even track him. He seemed to vanish from their sight instantly.

"What an incredible speed! He's moving so fast that my eyes couldn't even follow his shadow. Yuan is on a totally different level," Julie marveled at Yuan's inhuman speed. It was as if he had simply vanished from where he stood.

"I can't keep up with his speed either. He's moving at a ludicrous pace," Ava murmured, clearly taken aback by Yuan's lightning-fast approach toward the rabbits.

Before the rabbits could react to his speed, Yuan struck their necks with his hand, instantly breaking them and causing their demise. In just a few minutes, he dispatched all the rabbits using only his bare hands, taking less than half the time allotted by the system.

<Ding! Mission completed! You've successfully killed the Red Eyed Rabbits.>

"Man, it was so easy to kill them. They didn't even have a chance to run before meeting their end at my hand," Yuan remarked, his smile growing as he began collecting the rabbits by their long ears. Each one weighed over 2 kilograms, totaling 16 kilograms.

A few moments later, Yuan returned to the carriage, holding four rabbits in each hand, wearing a cheerful smile on his face.

Xi Meili's eyes sparkled with excitement as she looked at the rabbits in Yuan's hands. "Hubby, you got them for me. I can't wait for tonight's dinner. Their meat will be super delicious. Just thinking about it makes my stomach growl," she said, rubbing her hand on her flat stomach, a drool escaping her lips.

Anna chuckled at Xi Meili. "Don't worry, I will cook them for you in the most delicious way. Just be patient and wait until we leave this forest so we can find a suitable place to set up camp."

"En," Xi Meili nodded and hugged her mother-in-law Anna tightly. "You're the best mother-in-law, Anna. You're so considerate of me."

"After all, you're my cute daughter-in-law, Meili," Anna replied, smiling as she patted Xi Meili's head.

Yuan stored the rabbits in his system storage and then sat beside his two mothers, Anna and Grace. He looked towards Lily and said, "Lily, there's no point in staying here. Let's get moving."

"Alright, Little Yuan. Let's move then," Lily agreed, and the carriage resumed its journey.

Some time later, as the carriage continued to speed through the forest, Yuan turned to Julie and Ava, a smile on his face. "Julie and Ava, tonight I will gather all the mana in your bodies, ensuring you're ready to begin cultivation and break the mortal shackles."

"Huh? You mean, you'll be dual cultivating with us to cleanse our bodies of mana?" Julie asked, a red hue gracing her cheeks. Even though she had shared an intimate moment with Yuan a few days ago, she still felt a tinge of shyness at the memory.

"Does this mean you've found suitable cultivation techniques for us?!" Ava inquired, her face lit up with excitement. In her enthusiasm, any trace of embarrassment vanished.

"Not yet," Yuan shook his head, explaining further, "but I'm confident that I'll find the right cultivation techniques for both of you soon. That's why I want to make sure you two are prepared to start your cultivation as soon as I obtain them."

"That makes sense... Alright, we'll dual cultivate with you then and prepare our bodies for the journey ahead," Ava agreed, after sharing a quick glance with her sister Julie. Her cheeks were now tinged with embarrassment.

"I'm truly happy for both of you, knowing that you'll soon embark on your cultivation journey," Rose chimed in, embracing her two sisters with a genuine smile on her face.

"Thank you, Big Sis Rose," Julie and Ava both returned the hug, gratitude in their expressions.

As the carriage continued its journey, the trees gradually thinned, and the forest became less dense. They no longer encountered any monsters, the forest gradually giving way to a plain valley ahead, covered in lush green grass with sporadic thin trees lining the path.

"We've finally reached the end of the forest and are about to leave this dangerous place," Lily sighed in relief, her eyes fixed on the open valley before them. She felt a sense of ease, knowing they wouldn't encounter any monsters for a while.

However, this didn't mean they were entirely out of danger. There could still be bandits or weary merchants who had safely navigated the forest, presenting an easy target for potential robbers, offering little to no resistance.

As the sun began its descent, casting a warm golden hue over the landscape, the carriage continued its steady journey forward.

"Lily, look for a safe spot to camp tonight. Preferably under a huge tree where we can keep our horses. It should also be near a river so we can clean ourselves without any difficulty," Yuan instructed Lily, his discomfort with the lingering scent of blood evident.

Despite his efforts to cleanse his clothes with Qi, traces of the crimson stain still clung to the fibers.

"Alright, Little Yuan. I'll keep that in mind," Lily promptly assured him.

Before long, Lily spotted an ideal location to set up camp for the night. She quickly relayed her findings to Yuan and gently halted the carriage.

Since they planned to sleep in the carriage, which offered ample room for comfort, their main task was to set up a campfire for their meal.

Yuan stepped out of the carriage and led the horses towards the shelter of a colossal tree, where the grass beneath was softer and more abundant.

The horses immediately bent down to graze, contentedly munching on the fresh greens. Yuan secured them with a rope tied to the tree, ensuring they wouldn't stray during the night.
