Chapter 626 - Not wanting to be a light bulb

As she stared at that white toy, she finally understood why she had been worried about Lin Ye's confession. 

She had been worried because according to what he said, he had fallen in love with her long before she got married. Considering the timeline, it was likely to be when she had a boyfriend: Qin Zhifan. 

He might not mind that but what about the fact that she didn't even marry Qin Zhifan in the end but his cousin,Tyler instead? 

Would he mind that she had a son, and that he carried the blood of the Qins in him? 

She had been worried that he might not be able to accept her son. 

But now, she seemed to have been anxious for nothing. This man not only cared about her, he also cared about Yun Feng. 

She did not believe him when he said all those things about Yun Feng's future step-father being a lucky man, taking it as one of his ways of flirting. 

Had she been wrong about his thoughts all along? 

Perhaps... the only way to find out was to give him a chance? 

The smile that was beginning to surface on her face disappeared in a flash and was replaced with helplessness. There were still things she was yet to handle. How troublesome. 

She proceeded to get the drafts from the safe and went back downstairs. 

"Should I send all of them to Wanwan?" She probed. There were at least ten of them and they were all exquisite. Was this the so called fooling around?

"Yes. Boss will know how to handle them." 

Yun Xuan hummed in approval before she suddenly held his hand, her back slowly getting tense. "Lin Ye, about what you said that day..." 

"Master, Mrs. Lu is here." The butler announced, cutting off Yun Xuan's statement. 

Lin Ye's back unconsciously straightened, he didn't expect his boss to pay him such an abrupt visit. "Boss, welcome. Please have a seat." 

Wan Jia took a seat a short distance from the pair. "Don't be so courteous. You can simply call me Wan Jia out of the office." 

"I'll get you a drink." Yun Xuan dashed off to the kitchen, making Wan Jia laugh. "Your relationship must have improved." 

"Just slightly." Although this was what he said, his tail would be wagging to the skies if he had one.

Since Wan Jia was here, they simply gave her he drafts. Yun Xuan wouldn't have to send it to MAX anymore. However, Wan Jia shot him a look of disapproval. "You should focus on staying at home and taking care of your health. Forget about work for now, okay?" 

"I know... but I hate the fact that I can only stay at home, growing mould in my brain. If there was a way I would work even if it's for fun, I would feel much better." Lin Ye said, making Wan Jia make a mental note. 

She didn't stay for long. "I was going home and decided to drop by and pay you a visit. But..." she snuck a glance at Yun Xuan. "I will not overstay my welcome." 

Yun Xuan's face flushed. Why did she make it sound like she was leaving because she did not want to be a light bulb? There was obviously nothing going on between her and Lin Ye, alright? 

But that couldn't be said about what she was about to tell him before Wan Jia came in. 

"Before my boss came in a while ago, what were you going to tell me?" Lin Ye probed as soon as Wan Jia left. 

Yun Xuan clenched her lips so tightly they formed a straight line. She was going to tell him that they could try being in a relationship. 

As expected, it would have been best if she wasn't interrupted. All her confidence flew out the window. 

Not only that, she reconsidered making such a decision on a whim. 

Logically, she was still a married woman. 

One had to know that before she left the country back then, that idiot Qin Zhan had refused to divorce her. 

She had not cared about it back then since she had decided to not ever remarry. But now that she was considering being with Lin Ye, what would happen? She was sure that idiot would not let her go so easily. 

Now that she thought about it, no wonder he had been calm and had not caused any more trouble all this while. 

He knew that she couldn't possibly marry with her name still tied to his in marriage. 

Sigh, if only polyandry was legal. 

"Well..." 

After considering the options, she chose to talk about it. If he knew nothing, it would be more troublesome if Qin Zhan suddenly popped out of nowhere to cause trouble.

"My divorce wasn't finalized yet." She said everything in one breath." 

Lin Ye was startled. This... 

He was not expecting her to say this. Was he thinking too much? He actually thought she was going to confess or something of the sort. It took a while to process her words. 

"Xuanxuan, that bastard lied to you. He deceived you and married you when he already had a family. In fact, he lied about his own identity. Don't you think the court would be on your side if you sued him?" 

Yun Xuan looked troubled. "I didn't want to involve the court in my marital matters but if it comes to that, I will not care about how revealing his identity might put his life in danger." 

"If you need any help, I'll be there to help." 

Yun Xuan blinked. Contrary to his usual spoiled-husband tone, he sounded much more mature and caring this time. It gave her a sense of protection. 

When her heart was finally settled regarding this matter, they stayed together a bit more, mainly because every time she wanted to leave, Lin Ye would find excuses to make her stay a little longer. 

Before they knew it, it was night already. 

"I really have to go now. It's already so late: my baby must miss me. Damn it... what sort of mother am I?" 

At that moment, the lights suddenly flickered and went off.

Lin Ye: Why else? She knows that I can't wait to act mature scenes with you.
