Chapter 624 - Almost died from the shock

Although Yun Xuan knew that Lin Ye's butler was back, she still wasn't completely at ease. 

For the next few days, she would drop by randomly to check on him. 

The Lin residence wasn't far from Lin Ye's villa so it was convenient. 

On Monday, it was no different. She bought his favorite fruits and made her way to his villa. 

As usual, he was excited when she arrived. Aside from the first day after he confessed to her, their interaction lately was slightly more harmonious. 

He couldn't do anything to hurt her or force her to do things she didn't like anyway. It was pointless to be scared of him. At least this was what convinced Yun Xuan to slowly let down her guard against him. 

They didn't talk much. She went to the kitchen like it was her own and washed an apple for him. Once she had peeled it, she didn't forget to cut it into the hearts he liked he liked so much. 

Actually, she was in an unusually good mood today so she suggested baking cookies for him. 

Lin Ye was taken aback. This was the first time she actively took the initiative to do such a thing. 

He couldn't possibly reject it even though he didn't particularly have a sweet tooth. 

Hence, Yun Xuan prepared ingredients for baking cookies. 

Lin Ye, who didn't want to stay in the living room on his own was wheeled along into the kitchen. Yun Xuan kept him at a safe distance from what she was doing and asked him to not move around. 

Although she didn't talk much because she was baking, he didn't mind. It was enough to have her within his radius.

When the cookie dough was ready, she put it in the freezer to chill for a few minutes.  

She shut the fridge door and turned just in time to see Lin Ye whose legs were always intact on his wheelchair, trying to stand. His legs were placed firmly on the floor. 

Unfortunately, the wheel chair he was holding onto for support couldn't stand his weight and rolled backwards! 

Yun Xuan's heart stopped beating.

Even she didn't know when she reached his side to support him. It was only when she successfully held him that she felt her heart beating again. 

She pulled back the wheelchair and made him sit on it before glaring at him, her breathing heavey and her pulse accelerated.  "Are you crazy?" 

Her hands were still shaking. "Do you know how dangerous that was?" 

Lin Ye who was being scolded remained silent. He didn't know why he tried to stand either. Perhaps he somehow thought that his legs would be fine overnight. 

Her nervous tone, however, brought a slight smile to his face. "Are you worried about me?" 

Yun Xuan really wanted to beat some sense into his head. She looked aside and let out a puff of air.  

"I was not just worried, alright? I almost died from the shock. Don't do this again... at least not on your own." 

Wait, why did it suddenly feel like she fell into a trap he had weaved?

Following, Lin Ye was shooed out of the kitchen as punishment. The butler was called over to watch over him strictly. 

The man remained in a good mood despite this. Yun Xuan was worried about him! His Xuanxuan was worried about him! 

Not only that, she had held him as well. She actually held his waist.... he was so not taking a bath today.

Lin Ye remained in the living room obediently for almost an hour before he finally felt the aroma of fresh cookies wafting in. 

Yun Xuan still needed time to calm her nerves before continuing to bake thanks to the scare given to her by Lin Ye. 

When she was finally done, she brought the heart shaped cookies on a tray. Small red LYs could be seen on the heart shaped cookies. She had written them purely for fun. 

But those who didn't know would think she had done this because she was gifting them to a lover.

After Lin Ye's long wait, he finally had the opportunity to taste cookies made by Yun Xuan. 

They were just as sweet as he imagined they would be. 

Yun Xuan watched him munch like a happy squirrel and her heart warmed up. Were they really that sweet? 

"Will you bring some home for little Feng?" Lin Ye asked before continuing to inhale the cookies like his life depended on them. 

Yun Xuan found that she enjoyed seeing this side of him. She even tittered lightly. "I'm sure he would love them.... but his two teeth can't possibly chew them." In fact, the tiny third and fourth teeth were starting to peer out of his gums but those wouldn't help either. 

Of course, the most important thing was that she didn't want him to eat too much sweet food at his young age. 

Lin Ye laughed at his own stupidity. 

The cookies must be so sweet that he forgot how old Yun Feng was. 

"Xuanxuan, they are sweet." He said to ease his awkwardness. 

Yun Xuan couldn't help smiling. He had said that ten seconds ago. She didn't tear her gaze away from him until he wolfed everything down and grinned in satisfaction. 

It was only at this moment that she realized that she had ignored the butler at the side. 

"Butler An, there are more in the kitchen. You and the maids can have them." 

As soon as she said this, the man opposite her held her hand in displeasure. "Xuanxuan..." 

Yun Xuan chuckled. What was he, a little boy? "They're not that many. Let them eat them. After all too many of them will be harmful to your stomach." 

Seeing that he still looked unhappy, she couldn't resist patting his head. "The next time, I'll cook you a super delicious meal. Just for you."
