Chapter 605 - The most blind person on earth

Wan Jia smiled slightly. "We cannot be enemies forever, can we?" 

"I guess not." 

Not wanting to waste more time, Yun Xuan decided to go to Lin Ye's home. She knew the address because Lin Lihua had given it to her before. 

In truth, it was not the first time she wanted to go over and give them a piece of her mind. One time she had really decided to do it, and only gave up because her son had a fever.

This time, she would really go. 

Because that little troublemaker liked Xia Rou and the latter wanted to stay with him a little longer, she left him in the Lin residence.

Just like she thought, the reception at Lin Ye's home wasn't that friendly. 

To be exact, she was almost kicked out like a stray dog. 

"Who are you?" Bellowed the middle aged man when he saw her. He was tall and had a frowning face with a few wrinkles on his forehead, Yun Xuan thought he would look scary even if he smiled. 

"My surname is Yun. I'm only here to tell you that your son might wake up soon." She deliberately emphasized the word 'son', directly reminding him of the role he had irresponsibly abandoned - that of a father. 

However, the man looked displeased or even disgusted by what she had just said. "How is that my business? That brat should have died in that accident." 

"I told you we should have pulled the life support right off his face when we went to that damn hospital." An equally intimidating figure walked in, emmiting a murderous aura. His eyes gazed at Yun Xuan as though he wanted to drill a hole right through her. 

This was Lin Ye's brother. 

Yun Xuan had to admit they were truly father and son. The son didn't look capable of smiling either. 

"Woman, you look awfully familiar." 

Yun Xuan trembled. Had he recognized her as Yun Wei's daughter? 

"Right. I saw you at the hospital before. If you come here again, you will have to leave a leg behind as a souvenir." 

Yun Xuan's mouth twitched. Very well. At least she had accomplished her part. They would regret not caring about him, but that was none of her business.

Although this is what she said to make herself feel less wronged, she still had a stomach full of anger when she left Lin Ye's home.

"Did you really only see her at the hospital? We only went to see that b*stard once and didn't bump into anyone." 

The son's fingers balled into fists, a mixture of fury and jealousy vivid on his face. "That has to be Yun Xuan. How can I not know her? 

That's the woman he loves. He had a whole box full of her photos when we were slightly younger. Heh..." 

How about killing both of them together when the time comes? Wouldn't that be awfully romantic?

They would be a reincarnation of Romeo and Julliet, the only difference being that they would need someone to kill them.

Oblivious to a certain devil's thoughts, Yun Xuan went about her own business, taking her son from the Lin residence and dropping by the hospital.

She actually half-believed in the nonsense she had made up in her own brain - about Yun Feng affecting Lin Ye's recovery positively.

True enough, people would try anything they heard of or what they once believed in when the circumstances were dire. 

As she left the hospital, she ran into Lin Lihua who she hadn't seen at the Lin residence earlier. 

Coincidentally, a question popped up in her head. "Lihua, can I ask you about something? You have to answer me this time." 

"Sure," Lin Lihua said. "Just give me a few minutes."

Lin Lihua did not make her wait for too long. Soon, they left the hospital together. 

"What do you want to ask?" 

Yun Xuan suggested going to a restaurant. The little boy had fallen asleep against her shoulder. 

"What's the deal with Lin Ye's family? It doesn't make any sense. Why do they hate him so much?" 

"Because he's an illegitimate child." 

"What?" Yun Xuan was taken aback, not sure whether the shock was from this big foreign piece of news or from Lin Lihua's reaction. She had answered her way too bluntly. 

"His mother was the mistress and she died on the day Lin Ye was born. Initially, the Lin family welcomed him and loved him as one of their own." 

"Then what happened?" 

Lin Lihua didn't think she needed to hide it from her. She would know it one day anyway and besides, they were friends. "He refused to take over the family business and became a designer. 

That was still alright... but after years of persuasion, he agreed to take it over.

However, he dumped it and went right back to the fashion industry. One has to know that the Lin family looks down on designers as a cluster of time-wasters who gain nothing but fame from it. I wonder why they wear clothes." 

Yun Xuan still didn't think it was enough reason for them to hate him half as much as they did. 

She was about to ask when Lin Lihua cut her off. "Do you know why he kept hopping into the fashion design industry?" 

"Because it was his dream?" Yun Xuan guessed. 

"No." 'Because of you'... Lin Lihua wanted to blurt this out, but felt it would be better if Lin Ye did it himself. "Because of a woman. He has loved her for so many years and can't give up on her. Not even when that woman got married....

Too bad she never noticed him." 

Yun Xuan didn't know why Lin Lihua's words sounded weird. 

"Poor thing... he is so nice. Any woman would be blind to reject him." 

Lin Lihua tittered. 'Aren't you the most blind person on earth then, my dear Xuanxuan?' 

"Wait, is this the only reason for their hatred?" Yun Xuan didn't forget to ask. 

"No. When he grew up, he found out some facts and started asking about them. For example, his birth mother's death. He believes his own father killed her."
