She rushed back to her apartment and when she came back, she went to the attending doctor who she had spoken to before. "Did Mr. Lin Ye's family come? I already spoke to them." 

The doctor seemed nervous. "They didn't." 

"What?" But Wanwan called them. How could they not come? 

"To be exact, they did come. But..."

"But what?" 

The doctor looked heartbroken as she said it. "His father and a man that I thought should be his brother came. However, he only scolded Mr. Lin as a fool and left. The brother didn't spare him a glance." 

Yun Xuan frowned. Why would they do that? He was a member of their family. Wasn't that too heartless of them? Did Lin Ye perhaps have a fall out with his family? 

Even if they had a fall out, he shouldn't be abandoned at such a dire time, right? 

It was already night. Would she manage to speak to them? The doctor had said that the people close to him could make him recover earlier. No matter what, she had to convince them. 

Just as she left the hospital, Lin Lihua gave her a call. 

"I saw that you tried to contact me. My phone had unknowingly ran out of battery earlier." 

Yun Xuan looked like she had seen a new ray of hope. "Yes. Are you too busy right now? Can we talk in person?" 

Lin Lihua felt for some reason that it was urgent so she rushed to meet her at a coffee shop. "Xuanxuan, what happened?" 

Yun Xuan felt her eyes tear up. "It's Lin Ye. I called you earlier because I couldn't contact his family. However, I did but they simply scolded him and left. I don't know what to do now." 

Lin Lihua held her shoulders. "Calm down, calm down... take a deep breath. Now tell me, what happened to Lin Ye?" 

Yun Xuan took a deep breath. "He had an accident. It was all my fault. I told him it was urgent and... he must have rushed over and oversped." 

Lin Lihua had an interesting expression. She was feeling guilty? She laughed in her heart. Don't worry Little Ye, I know you love Xuanxuan. I will help you out. Unfortunately I have to take advantage of this situation. 

She looked troubled. "Xuanxuan, the Lin family has a huge fall out. I'm afraid I cannot tell you what exactly happened. However, if his father simply called him a fool and left, then he will not want anything to do with him. He might not feel troubled even if something actually happened to Lin Ye." 

Yun Xuan felt even more guilty. "It's all my fault. What will I do now?" 

Lin Lihua patted her shoulder. "Since you feel so guilty about it, you should take care of him." 

"What? I should do what?" What did Lin Lihua just say? 

"If you don't, he will be on his own. No one will be there for him. Xuanxuan, I would do it but... I'm a married woman. My husband wouldn't like it if I took care of another man, much less one with whom I had an arranged marriage in the past." 

Yun Xuan put her cup of coffee on the table slowly. "You had an arranged marriage with Lin Ye? But you were single for years." 

"We did, but we didn't have any feelings for each other so we mutually broke the engagement. You look so shocked. Lin Ye didn't tell you?" 

She shook her head. "We have never been close enough to talk about such things. All I know is that while working at Y X, he was very devoted to his work and was not interested in any woman in or out of the company." 

Lin Lihua leaned on the backrest. That was because he had a woman in his heart all along and that woman was you. 

Her phone chimed with a new message and she knew exactly who the sender was without having to check. 

"I really have to go. My daugher must be feeling scared." 

Yun Xuan did not want to be left alone but she had to go home too. "Then, goodnight." 

Lin Lihua flashed a smile. "I will give you some days off work. After all, you have a patient that needs your attention. I will only contact you if there is something that needs your urgent help."

Lin Lihua secretly followed Yun Xuan and made sure she went home before she went to the hospital. In their conversation, Yun Xuan had told her the name of the hospital where Lin Ye was. 

The doctor allowed her to go to room 1208. 

When she saw the man wrapped up in so many bandages that his face could not be seen, she finally understood why Yun Xuan was so worried.

She didn't spend too much time in his room. After leaving some money to settle the bill later, she left the hospital building. 

"Miss Cupid Lihua." She heard a familiar voice as she left and turned in its direction. 

"Henry? What are you doing here?" 

Henry Blanc took of his jacket and put it on her shoulders. "Are you a little girl? You know that you should bundle yourself up when going anywhere in the cold night." 

"If I did, I wouldn't have the opportunity to wear CEO Blanc's jacket. Wait, why would you call me Miss Cupid?" She laughed.

"Ruoxi said you were going to meet Miss Yun. I know it's because you are trying to matchmake her with Lin Ye. Aren't you acting as Cupid?"
