Chapter 463 - You are too cute when you say things you don't mean.

If she was being honest, she would say that Yan Xue was outright stupid. It was one thing to admire another woman's man, but for a woman to still fantasize about her old flame while married, that was no different from having an affair.  Didn't she have a tinge of respect for her husband who stepped out to take responsibily for her and their baby? 

Perhaps Lu Aotian should have completely wiped her off the earth's surface and not left her a leeway.

Lu Shaoting was studying the changing expressions of the woman beside him. She looked jealous and angry as though her whole being had been displeased. He had seen the couple behind them but he had not expected his Su Ling to be jealous. She was too cute.

He held her small hand tightly in his. "Don't be too mad, okay my love? It is not good for your health." 

Su Ling glared at him. "That's easy for you to say. Would you not be mad if you were a woman and you realized that another woman still liked your man?" 

Instead of being nervous, Lu Shaoting smiled. "Are you jealous?" 

"Jealous your head. What would I be jealous about? Huh. As if there is something I would be jealous of. She is not worth wasting my jealousy over." 

Lu Shaoting's smile deepened. "You are too cute when you say things that you do not mean. Do you know that?" 

Su Ling glared at him fiercly. The man still had the nerve to smile. 

Lu Shaoting pulled her into a hug. They were now approaching MAX building. "Don't you know it better than everyone else? The only woman my eyes will ever see is you. All the others are no different from wind to me." 

It was such a cheesy statement. But when it came from his lips, it sounded like the most serious declaration. It made her believe him even more. "I know my love." 

He brushed his lips against her forehad lightly when they arrived. "Remember to not work too hard. I will come and pick you up this evening. Also, say hello to sister-in-law. Wait, it's CEO Wan now." 

Su Ling was still being held tightly in his hug. He looked exactly like a kid who did not want to let his favorite toy go. She tried to pull herself off. "Well, Vice President Lu, that would only be possible if you let me go. If not, how will I manage to go back to work, much less send your greetings to my CEO?" 

Lu Shaoting realized his actions and let go of her. He smiled to mask his awkwardness. He stopped her from opening the car door and stepped out to open it for her instead. As usual, he took her hand and led her out with his cheerful smile. 

Su Ling was now used to it and no longer felt shy when everyone looked at them as Lu Shaoting did these things. 

"Men from the Lu family are quite loving. I thought that it was only President Lu who did such things for his wife...turns out that even Vice President Lu is the same, and he looks so happy to dote on his wife. Su Ling and Wan Jia are too lucky!" An employee who was watching curiously commented. 

Another who was beside her was too jealous to be happy for them. "They have only been together for a few months. What is there to be so happy about? Their affection will die down in the next few months." 

Little did that employee know, Lu Shaoting believed that he would dote on Su Ling all their lives, and she would be the best wife there ever could be. At the same time, Su Ling inwardly vowed to dote on Lu Shaoting all their lives too. It was not only husbands who doted on their wives; wives could dote on their husbands too, right?

When Su Ling arrived at the office of the Vice CEO, she found Wan Jia waiting for her. She did not look pleased. Her usual sweet look was replaced with that of strictness. "You are one hour late." 

Su Ling froze in her tracks. When she was with Lu Shaoting, she had totally forgotten that while the Lu brothers had taken an extra hour and a half for lunch to relieve themselves from the tension at Lu Enterprises, the situation was not identical to theirs. 

How could she tell her superior that she was late because she was having lunch with her fiancé? 

That would be a silly excuse. After all, Wan Jia must have had lunch with Lu Aotian too, but she still got back to work on time. 

That must be the case because Lu Aotian was shopping for toys with Little Jia a while ago. 

The point was, she had no way out of this. "I'm sorry CEO, I will keep time henceforth." 

Wan Jia did not make things difficult for her. After all, they were both expecting and Su Ling did not have it as easy as she herself did. She must have forgotten about it. 

"Lateness will not be tolerated next time. I postponed the meeting with the top designers indifinitely because you have to be present. Prepare for it now; we will hold it in fifteen minutes." 

"No worries, CEO." Su Ling answered unconsciously. 

Wan Jia right now...was looking cold and even emmited a hint of aloofness. She was not arrogant, but her whole being was authoritative and made people subconciously feel like tiny beings under her feet.  It was much more obvious than when she was only attending and holding business meetings once in a while in the capacity of the CEO's wife and a shareholder.
