Chapter 461 - Mommy will not want you anymore

Little Jia was still scared of those uncles and aunties who kept piercing her and giving her medicines that tasted bitter. 

However, daddy had promised to protect her. Her little body that had been tensed since being told that they were going to hospital finally eased. "Yes daddy." 

When his daughter was no longer scared, Lu Aotian told the chauffeur to drive to Doctor Qiao's hospital. 

Lately, he had grown to trust that friend of Xia Rou's who was a doctor. It was because Doctor Cui was so busy that sometimes he did not have time to check on Little Jia's health. 

Since the little girl's condition needed to be checked often, Lu Aotian had resorted to letting Doctor Qiao take over. 

Before they arrived, he had already given Doctor Qiao a call and informed her of their visit. 

Doctor Qiao was ready to check on Little Jia as soon as they arrived. 

"Her health has detoriarated." Doctor Qiao said when the test results were out. She found it strange, let alone Lu Aotian.

Lu Aotian sighed. Her medicine tasted awful? That was probably because she simply hated the fact that she was taking it. There was no child her age who liked taking medicine. But how could children's medicine possibly taste bitter? And did that happen when he was not home?

He was at a loss. Should he scold her? If this was about something else, he would have scolded and punished her.

But she was tugging at his clothes and looking at him so pitifully and she already knew that what she did was wrong. She had also promised to not do it again. Although she had become really naughty lately, he still didn't have the heart to punish her. 

How could he bear to? Would any father possibly bring himself to do it? His little princess had suffered too much in this lifetime due to her illness. That was already bad enough. 

Sighing, he stood up and went back to Doctor Qiao. He would make sure she had no chance to do such things in future. He would also make sure she did not become any naughtier than she already was.

But the main point was, her health wouldn't deteriorate that much because she threw away her medicine once. Something else must have happened. 

"Is there a way to get her condition back on a safe level?" He asked Doctor Qiao when he was back in her office. 

"Fortunately, you discovered before it is too late. I will prescribe her a new type of medicine." 

Lu Aotian took the new medicine and left Doctor Qiao's office.  

Meanwhile, Little Jia was left behind by him, looking scared. Her small body was literally shaking with fear.  It made one's heart ache. 

The nurse who was taking care of her approached carefully. "Lu Meili, why are you sad?" 

Little Jia liked this nurse because she was the only one who did not pierce her. She did not answer her but burst into tears. 

At that moment, Lu Aotian was back. 

Little Jia peered at him from between her fingers. She became even more scared. Ghosh! Daddy looked scary! 

Nevertheless, she wiped her own tears and clumsily walked over to him. Lu Aotian took her in his arms, pretending to not see her tears and went with her to the car. 

Little Jia kept stealing glances to see if he still looked that scary while he pretended to not realize her actions. 

She turned to look at him with her big eyes. "Daddy, are you still angry?" 

Lu Aotian gave her a side glance for a brief second. "What do you think?" 

Little Jia had never heard such a statement from her father. She was so frightened that her hands were shaking. Was she going to be punished this time? "But if daddy is angry, he will no longer be handsome." She paused carefully to make sure that her words did not anger him more before continuing, "If daddy is no longer handsome, mommy will not want you anymore."
