Chapter 363 - He's my brother

Name:My Beautiful Love Author:Avalorian_
"Stop! He's my brother!"

The newcomer was disheveled, obviously she had rushed over. Her hair was so sweaty that some of it stuck to her face. She had one sandal on her foot, the other one must have been lost on her way. She had forgotten to take her car and rushed over in a cab instead. She was still out of breath.

"Please, don't hurt him."

Everyone finally had a reaction.

Lu Shaoting: "What?!"

The Qian father and son: "What!"

Lu Aotian: "You can really do anything to save him, huh? Who exactly is he?" If he was her brother, why would they have such a huge reaction to her words?

Wan Jia rushed to his side and held his arm. "They must be shocked that I found out because they didn't tell me. I'm telling the truth."

Because their lady boss had suddenly appeared, the men had stopped what they were doing. Qian Li was freezing. The cut on his hand was still bleeding. Wan Jia's felt sad when she looked at him.

She looked at her husband pleadingly. "I know he must have wronged you, but could you let Qian Li go? On account that he helped me find out something very important."

Lu Aotian couldn't stand the fear in her eyes. He looked at his laptop screen. "Is what she is saying true?"

Qian Ye remained silent. He was still utterly shocked. He really wanted to strangle his son. Did he run off his mouth and say things he shouldn't?

Qian Li was too weak to speak. But even if he wasn't weak, he wouldn't say anything. He would rather be dead than use her to save his life. What would be the use? Lu Aotian's hatred for him and his father would still remain.

Wan Jia really wanted to slap the hell out of Qian Ye. Can't you freaking see your son's life is on the line?

Seeing that Qian Ye wasn't being useful, she pulled out her ultimate weapon.

She looked down for a few seconds. When she next looked up, her eyes were moist with tears adamantly refusing to fall. She tugged his sleeve lightly with two fingers. "Aotian…"

"Let him go." Lu Aotian ordered.

Everyone remained silent. What did he just say?

"Do I need to repeat myself?"

The men finally had a reaction. They cleared some ice cubes off Qian Li's body and covered him before pulling him out of the tub.

Lu Shaoting was enraged. "What's the meaning of this? Are you letting him off just because she said so?" He saw that Lu Aotian didn't answer him and tried to find a reason. "Or is it because you want Qian Ye to take his place and atone for his own sins?"

"No."

Lu Aotian stood up with her hand in his and walked out with his brother following after him.

"Bro, do you know, that man killed someone else. Twenty three years ago, he sent people to go after a woman. But they got the wrong car and rammed into it. The woman in that car and her man both died."

Lu Aotian ignored him.

"Do you know who that woman was?"

Lu Aotian continued walking forward.

"That was our mother!"

Lu Aotian turned sharply. His eyes held no expression "I know."

Wan Jia was shocked. What sort of deep secret had she just overheard? Qian Ye's men accidentally killed Lu Aotian's mother?

Lu Shaoting laughed coldly. "Haha. Despite knowing that the accident twenty three years ago was his fault, and that grandfather's death wasn't baseless either, you are letting them off? Just because of a baseless paternal claim?

For a woman's teardrop, have you forgotten your roots?

You have disappointed our grandfather. You don't deserve to be his grandson."

Lu Aotian entered his car with his wife and drove off.

"Will Shaoting be alright?" Seeing him fly into a sudden fit of rage, she was worried about him.

"He's a bit emotionally agitated. Stay away from him until he calms down." Otherwise, she wouldn't know how she died.

"My grandfather would have survived but his medicine was tempered with, thanks to Qian Li who was following his master's instructions. I already dealt with the master." Lu Aotian explained. "He was just a teenager and unknowingly became a chess piece. That's why I let him off back then."

"I'm sorry." Wan Jia said after a long spell of silence. "So this is why you didn't trust them. I should have understood you."

Lu Aotian slowed down and kissed her cheek. "Forget about that. Tell me how and when you knew that they are your father and brother."

"I was suspecting it for some time, then I overheard something from my parents. I pieced the puzzle together."

Lu Aotian didn't give a reaction.

Wan Jia took a deep breath. "I don't expect you to forgive me this time. I went out of line."

"I'm glad you're self aware."

Although she knew that he was her brother, it didn't mean she should trust him blindly. How many siblings stabbed each other in the back?

When they reached their home, Lu Aotian took her to their bedroom and pushed her onto the bed with restrained force, making sure to not hurt her.

"Stay here and reflect on your actions. When you understand why I'm upset, I'll let you out."

"You are grounding me?" she asked as he walked away.

He didn't look at her, afraid that he would give in to her pitiful eyes. "Yes."
