Chapter 355 - They're not half as handsome as you are

That night, Su Ling really took a photo of the project bid amount when Wan Jia wasn't looking. However, she didn't directly send it to that man. She typed an exact copy but changed the amount from fifty million to thirty five million. That was a huge difference. When she was done, she sent the fake amount.

Jung's assistant was shocked witless when he saw the amount. He had thought that Lu Enterprises would offer an astronomical price. This wasn't even as much as the benefits Xu Real Estate was preparing to offer before they decided to bid. If he knew, he wouldn't have found that Su girl. He would have looked for the woman called Kara Yang.

The next day, he was shocked when Lu Enterprises still won the bid by fifty two million. Kara wasn't too shocked. Her confidence had been reduced in half the second she saw Wan Jia but she had still held her hope. Liaowen would be so disappointed…

Immediately after the meeting, that man gave Su Ling a call. "Woman, you tricked me. Don't blame me for not being friendly!"

Su Ling chuckled. "Did you like the surprise? You think I wanted your filthy money? What I meant to say is; it doesn't matter what the Su family do that's against the law. Shaoting doesn't care.  You can go right ahead and send him those files." Without waiting for a response, she hung up.

Wan Jia who was speaking to a potential business partner of Lu Enterprises caught up. "You did well."

"What are you talking about?"

Wan Jia didn't answer her until they were in Su Ling's room. "You passed the test."

Su Ling still didn't get it. "What are you talking about? Everything we did was mostly thanks to you. I only did a small part."

Wan Jia laughed at her naivety. "Were you not surprised that the bid price suddenly changed?"

Now that Wan Jia mentioned it, she indeed found it strange. The document she stole the previous night had a price of fifty million which was the same amount they had decided on, but the one submitted today had fifty two million. She had thought that Wan Jia changed it just to be safe.

"Why did you change it?" She asked.

Wan Jia spoke as though it was not a big deal. "The fifty million was just a prank. You were under a test."

After Wan Jia told the Lus about the presence of a mole, they guessed that the other party might find Su Ling and threaten her into betraying the company. Although both Su Ling and Wan Jia were under tight protection, they wanted to know how Su Ling would react in the face of a threat. That's why they wanted Wan Jia to place a fake document in Su Ling's vicinity. They basically used the threat to test her loyalty.

Wan Jia hugged her warmly. "Last night I thought you would betray the company. I was so disappointed that I almost scolded you."

"Why didn't you scold me?"

"It's just a woman's intuition. I think you love Shaoting too much to betray his family."

Su Ling felt warm. So it was a test after all. She was not mad at them for tricking her. She was happy that they didn't jump into conclusions before seeing the end of it. "How are you going to deal with that assistant?"

"You don't know?"

"Know what?"

"I already dealt with him. He has to confess all the things he did using Mr. Jung's name behind his back. He will make a public apology while kneeling in front of the company building and maintain the kneeling position all day. If not, I am able to make his life a living hell using the dirt I dug up on him."

Su Ling was impressed. How fast.

In Country C, Lu Tongyan looked pleased when he was told the progress of his daughters-in-law.

"They signed the deal. Anyway that's not the main point. The point is, I told you Ling will never betray me." Lu Shaoting had on a proud expression as though he had won an Oscars award.

"Don't be too cocky yet. This is just the beginning."

"As you say."

"Let her stay here for a week. When they come back, pick her up and bring her right here."

Lu Shaoting agreed. As long as his father wasn't deliberately humiliating her, there wouldn't be any problems.

"Good job." Lu Aotian said when he gave Wan Jia a call.

"Aren't you sleeping yet? It's very late over there." She scolded.

"I waited for your call all day and didn't get any, and when I call, you scold me? Don't you miss me at all?"

"Miss you? There are very many handsome men around here. There are even some running around the beach in tank tops. As if I would miss you, hmph!" Wan Jia teased.

"What did you say?" All the sleep flew away from Lu Aotian's eyes. "I dare you to say that again."

Wan Jia burst into laughter. "I'm just kidding. Can you not sound like you want to take the first flight here?"

He was really going to do it. "You are not allowed to look at other men."

"Why would I look at them? They're not half as handsome as you."

"I miss you." he said in a hoarse sexy voice. 

"I miss you too, my love."

At the side, Su Ling and Kara glared at her. We came to the beach to have fun and get a nice tan, okay? Who carries their phone to display their affection on the beach? We have husbands too, you know.
